Sanadai-chan T:

>"I-I prepared one that would lock out the other Gasanae's miracles if she tried to do something to me, but then when i did thr miracle i got locked out for some reason."

Fusion (Alt.):

>"At the Misty Lake, it seems like Seija destroyed the Mansion, and it also looks like onee-chan is supporting her..."

Fusion (Alt. 2):

>!
>Stop time again and look for Alt. Gasanae.

Marubug:

>Head towards it.
//Alright. Thanks for clarifying that ambiguous situation, parser.

//Reposting for convenience.

>If we are not Retconning, then do not say this, as this is false and will only serve to piss off Gasanae.

Instead:
>"I-I prepared one that would lock out the other me, and only her, miracle and warp magic so I could get close enough to talk to her. It was supposed to only activate if she actually tried either on me. I-I got the idea from the precautions you did against me... A-Are you locked out too? It shouldn't happen. Like I said I didn't include you or the other you in the Miracle."

>Wait for explicit approval from everyone if we're doing this.

Also:
>Since I feel it wouldn't be good if players fall behind here, switch to democracy parsing rules (AKA "reassurance") for the duration of the miracle and warp magic crisis (We could extend it to the entire Alt!World, too, but ONLY if there is a 3/4 approval of it, since it's likely it won't be necessary unless something else bad happens). As soon as it's resolved, switch back to the current method. (Desyncing is fine for not Alt!World related actions, but do not allow a desync of more than 3 posts.)

>Apply the democracy to the entire Alt!World until the crisis over there is resolved.

>Replace my SanaDai Instead action with this:
>"I-I prepared one that would lock out the other me's miracle and warp magic so I could get close enough to talk to her, since she was acting strange. It was supposed to only activate if she actually tried either on me, I did one towards the other you too. I-I got the idea from the precautions you did against me... A-Are you locked out too? It shouldn't happen. Like I said I specifically specified our alternate selves... And there's no way either of them could've taken precautions because what happened between us never happened over there, so they shouldn't have been able to see it coming..."

>Wait for explicit approval/rewords/additions from everyone

> "I-I can't use mine." Gasanae says.

> Keine Kanako stretches a bit.

> You stop time-
> Your head is starting to hurt. It's like some of your thoughts were stopped as well. It feels really weird... Currently, you seem to be thinking of if Koa was summoned, and keeping away from yourself.

> You head up, but the light continues to go higher than you.
RenBug (T):

> You're welcome, Miss Renko!

---

KaisuDai:

> Nod.
> "Plutocratically, right? Oh, uh, er, plateaunically?"
> Blink.
> "...Or did you want the other way? I-I do still have permission..."
> Renko finishes dressing and heads out of the house, looking up for the moon.

> "...Er, I said it's alright."
Prime (Village):

> "Right."

---

SenDai:

> Beat.

---

RanBug:

> Beat.
> Aya keeps leaned against you.

> Virtue gets back into bed, lying down.

> Ran continues, lying down.
> Chen might be asleep now. I hope.
//Those backlash...

ExperiDai:

> "You and Miss Mokou are close friends, right?"

===

Prime (Kono):

> "... Apparently, we only have one hour before the miracle worns off and we take a swim, hehe..."
> Keine nods.

> "...L-Lets enjoy it then." Kono says.
Prime (Rin):

> "Huh? When?"

===

Prime (Letty):

> Stand up and try to compare how plump are we to our unfused self.
> "In the shop. ...Oh, right..."

> You stand and compare...
> You're a bit squishier... Okay, you admit, you're fatter... But it's a good kind. Just enough to look good.

//Well. With that out of the way, considerations need to be made to try to avoid it again, huh? There was a barrier around Alt Seija and Alt Gassy, right? Rather than trying to pick at them magically from afar and risking a repeat lock, try to get around the barrier somehow with the other magics at your Daisposal. Two ideas that come to mind immediately are using Seiga's magic to open a hole in it or using Flan's magic to identify the "eye" of the barrier and then destroy it. There may be other possibilities, but I haven't thought about it too hard.

//Also! Given how quickly the immediate issue resolved and how we are wiser for the experience, I would like to propose that Alt World Democracy only apply to direct dialogue with seeming-evildoers and to casting spells directly targeted at seeming-evildoers. (This would include magics used by people that are not us designed to aggro seeming-evildoers, such as getting Alt Rin to fiddle at Alt Seija and Alt Gassy.) In particular, non-offensive investigative spells and movements should not require communal approval because they are not risky actions, and in fact having them require communal approval makes investigating more difficult by virtue of slowing everything down (more can be accomplished in two rounds of posts from two people than one round of posts from three people). The expediency will also reduce desync, which is good for everyone, including the parser. Especially the parser.

//This would also allow Raf his Rika shenanigans for 'free', which is only fair for me to propose. :V

Fusion (Alt 2) and Fusion (Alt)
>When one of us runs out of Sakuya magic, immediately take over and sustain the timestop. We don't know if Alt!Daiyousei and Alt!Gasanae are being affected by this at all...

//Everything seems fine btw
//I mean, it's a nice thought, but it honestly seems like you're making things too complex, no offense.
//Also "seeming evildoers" can be taken very broadly and ambiguously.

//Also I'd like to point out that the sole reason Desyncing exists is that you can still get your desire for instant gratification. If things were different (i, e, we were all okay with patience) then we wouldn't even need to do so. But everyone has their own play-style I guess. :shrug:

//Also I just imagined if we used Seija magic on the repulsive barrier, literally everything will be drawn to them like a black hole lol

//Reminder that democracy rules mean wait for everyone (but kilga) to make a post of either commands or an approval.
//FAKE EDIT: See below.

//Also waiting for opinions Re: Fairy Village

//FAKE EDIT ADDENDUM: Actually, I just realized Tashi DID have a post and it WAS missed.

//I'm okay with the fairy village thing... I just won't like that the other fairies get uncomfortable because any specific newcomer and the matter doesn't get addressed.

//Will be driving in rush hour traffic on the highway, so I'll be inactive for 1-2 hours. Just saying this so people don't wonder where I am and when to expect me back if I end up being the player waited on for this next round.

//Not sure about Flan Magic, exploding the batrier might explode those two too since they are inside, Seija Magic seems fine though, but she needs to refill on that.

//Seiga, not Seija.

//Also what do you mean "Free Rika Shenanigans" ? First comes saving Gensokyo, then we go back to Science Town.

//There is no reason you cannot do both at the same time!

//I mean, it's a nice thought, but it honestly seems like you're making things too complex, no offense.
//Also "seeming evildoers" can be taken very broadly and ambiguously.

//I would be curious about how complex the parser thinks it is, since he's the one that will be making the distinctions when updating and therefore the only one who's opinion really matters in that regard. But perhaps it should be worded more clearly for the players? The specific proposal I had in mind was to enable Democracy Mode only for spells cast at/on and dialogue directed at Alt Seija and Alt Gasanae. I think that's pretty cut-and-dry, with no room for confusion. More people could conceivably be added later, of course, if they are found to have more allies.

//Also I'd like to point out that the sole reason Desyncing exists is that you can still get your desire for instant gratification. If things were different (i, e, we were all okay with patience) then we wouldn't even need to do so.

//You word it so negatively! :( Why, I could reasonably say that the sole reason Democracy Mode exists is that you can globally fulfill your desire for policing the actions of your fellow players, and that if everyone was okay with their fellow players making the occasional mistake, Democracy Mode wouldn't be necessary. But that's not very flattering!

//I hold it as a foundational truth of public text adventures that, outside of the parser's decisions on the mechanics of updating, any given player should not be forced to wait on any other given player to play the game if that player does not want to. (If they do want to, then more power to 'em, of course.) This must be upheld to help ensure that all players are equal within the context of the game, and to violate this truth is to claim that one player and their opinions are more important than another player and their opinions. There is, of course, the obvious question of "what if a player goes rogue", but inter-player social consequences are perfectly fine, as is reasonably-justified countermanding (as much as I personally am not a fan of it), as also is the parser choosing to simply ignore a troll player or outright remove them from the game. (See Nefer as a perfect example of this: Despite the fact that none of his troll posts ever came during a Democracy Mode, none of them ever came to fruition, due to the vigilance of the other players and/or the sensible nature of the parser.)

//I would be perfectly willing to have a discussion about this, especially since such is immediately relevant to the current game state, though I cannot promise that my mind will be changed.
