I'm trying to find one rather old and silly Touhou video again, but not having much luck with that. Basically this is what happens:

Ran asks Chen to go out and do some errand for her or whatever (can't remember very well), but then Reimu gets into Chen's way and begins bullying her. Chen fires some pathetic danmaku at Reimu in an attempt to defend herself, but fails miserably and begins crying. Luckily, team 9 then comes in order to save her.

Only Rumia, Wriggle and Mystia appears at first, and begin shooting danmaku at Reimu together. Despite having some trouble, Reimu manages to hold herself against the three at once. But then a very muscular Cirno parodying Toguro Otouto appears and says something like "DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME, THE STRONGEST". She then fires unavoidable danmaku at Reimu, defeating her for once and saving the day.

Does someone know of it and where I can see it again?

Sweetness and love~ ♥

Do we have clues on what Gensokyo's population size is? Both humans and youkai, or just humans.

We know that the youkai population is more numerous than the human one, but we have no solid numbers for either.

Over at Wikipedia some people were editing the Team Shanghai Alice article to say that ZUN might not be the only member of TSA but he is just the "only widely known member". Now I know this is not true and ZUN actually said he alone is the entirety of Team Shanghai Alice. What I want is a definite source to prove it.

I remember reading here on MotK that many many years ago ZUN was interviewed by a Swedish magazine called Player1, and some kind soul translated the interview into English and it ended up on the Touhou Wiki. Due to Wikipedia's stringent requirements about sources, I'm wondering if anyone knows the exact issue and page that the interview comes from, and if there's a scan of it somewhere?

Failing that, if ZUN said something to the same effect elsewhere that would be great too.

Rukaroa is the one who posted the translated interview, have you tried contacting them through social media? All I remember is that it was a 2006 issue.

1. How about this? http://shmuplations.com/doujin/
This is a translation of an article in Shooting Gameside #1, by a respected member of the shmup community. The Shooting Gameside magazine itself is available as a digital download on its official site: http://gameside.jp/sgs/sgs1/

2. I had looked into the Player1 magazine, and pinned down the issue of the interview to 2006 March (or around that time). Couldn't find any scans though.
IIRC, Rukaroa is only the one who reposted to the wiki, not the source.

3. I have a project in my to-do list that should provide a definite source, but my to-do list is, uh, moving very slowly.

Though the guy came back saying the copyright handler Fumio Oyamada is also a member. Is there anything to prove or disprove this?

Fumio Oyamada is a member of Kourindou Inc., but apparently, so are several other people. The company Kourindou Inc. is not one and the same as the doujin circle Team Shanghai Alice.

For one example, ZUN is always extremely secretive about the games he's making (by himself). In 2013, he said he tells absolutely no one else about the games, including his wife.

Is there anyone here who can help me with a Japanese-English translation? It's nothing too big but I sort of need a particular set of Terms of Use translated so I can determine if I can use the assets in my project.

I've spent a good hour trying to find what I thought would be a third fan-animation besides Fantasy Kaleidoscope and A Summer Day's Dream.  I remember watching a couple of seconds of it on youtube some months ago and I think it was based on the IN's plot? The only thing I'm sure of is that the whole quality of the animation was abysmal, and the video itself had a terrible quality. I'm starting to think that I've imagined all of this since I can't find any information about this but a friend of mine seems to remember something similar so I have to ask here if someone could tell me if this animation has ever existed or not. :\

You're looking for Touhou Project Side Story ~ Memory of Stars. Although perhaps forgetting it existed is the better choice.

Touhou is not typically available through kid-friendly channels. Unless the kid's parents are otaku, I guess.
At what age would you draw the line for "kid"?

I need analysis from a professional on the subject "professional" meaning someone who knows the basics of music:

In general, 2hu music fits mostly on what music genre? (it's obvious that some songs are from different genres to others, please clarify with examples)

Optional: "genre" deals mostly with instruments used or with composition (ie. time, pitch, melody, etc.)?

ZUN's music can't fit into a single genre because genres can target only narrow cases.

If you hear a good selection of Touhou music, then you'll see a wide range of emotions conveyed: from the elegance of Yuyuko's theme, to the sadness of SA Stage 2 and Parsee, to the upbeat-ness of Orin or Ichirin's theme, to the loneliness brought by UFO Stage 6. That's what we'd lose if all the music could be straitjacketed into one genre.

Nonetheless, we can make some generalizations. Almost all Touhou music is in a minor key; most of the sections in a major one are ambiguously major (that being said, the line between the two are not always clear-cut). In fact, the commonly used chords seem to be i, III, IV, V, VI, and VII. And I think you know about the ZUNpets.

Lily White does too. Other than that, some characters (Sakuya, Murasa) have spellcards where they teleport.

Kids love Touhou.

Is that your daughter, Tengukami?

Well, if we are to compare popularity, then Touhou isn't as popular over most of commercial stuffs(well, that's the point of them, right?), be it cult classics like Doraemon, Astro Boy, Cowboy Bebob(perhaps), Dragon Ball, One Piece and even recent ones.
However, in my opinion, rather than popularity, it's better for a franchise to have a "healthy" fanbase. Not to say that we don't have our share of "creeps" and "parasites", but the crazy people are crazy in a good way.

My cousin, actually, and yes, I am a monster. In my defense this was before I knew how to fix aspect ratio in Nvidia settings.

Also, I believe there's a PC-98 boss who does the teleport thing that Murasa does; maybe even a couple of them.

The golden twin bosses or boss in LLS and MS teleports around.

In the fighting games, Koishi has the move Conditioned Teleport, but it doesn't look like she's actually teleporting.

Mugetsu does. In addition, Gengetsu kind of distorts as she moves about but since she's still visible during the whole thing I wouldn't call that teleporting.

A question, not centered exactly on Touhou, but on japanese people:

When people name their attacks (Calling Your Attacks as seen on TVTropes, which i won't to link here) in english rendered in katakana, how are japanese expected to react to it? For an example for english speakers ,"hydrokinesis" may sound cool, but it is greek for "water movement/movement of water", but as greek isn't a widely spoken language, it sounds exotic. English is a bit more widely known in Japan than greek is in North America/Australia/The UK.
