Hmmm...How good is dragon rider. I thought he was cool when I first got him, but his ATK is surpassed by my red ogre.

His base evo is weak, but post-evolution he becomes much stronger.

Best used as a sub in a mono-light team, or in an Egyptian (Isis/Horus/etc) team.

Hmm...idk if I can manage mono-light. Is a mono-blue or blue-white team with Plesio and Idunn&Idunna possible option?

Not just possible, but preferred.  Mono-Blue is very good.  Mono-light is probably the hardest thing to do because light critters are a massive pain in the rear to level.

On top of that, your helper options are pretty great from the thread too.

We've got quite a few strong Blue Options, Pesco's siren, Zengar's I/I, Someone had Lakshimi, I have Hermes kicking around.

Blue strongk.

How do you guys run mono stuff, seems like I'll run 4 attributes and the screen will be covered by the one I don't have.

We're mostly talking about further down the line.  Don't worry about running a specific type of team until you have the monsters to support it.

I think Suikama had Isis too. Of course that's not Mono team, but god damnit 3x to everything.

I'm really liking my Harpie Demon. Only lvl 9 and she's almost the biggest hitter on my team.

Yeah, they're great early-game hitters.  Don't use too many, though - they're all attack and no hp or healing.

Really, they seem pretty good, at least compared to the knights and Ogres(best things I have access to outside of rare balls.)

I was looking at the database and for specials it has things like mins and maxes. Is it implying that it's possible to reduce the cooldown on those things?

Also, the more I play this, game, the more I wish it had trading and PvP.

Fuse a monster with the same skill as the base, and there's a chance the base's skill level will rise.  If that happens, the cooldown is reduced by 1, to a minimum that varies based on the skill.

So, if I wanted to do that, I could say, fuse the knights or carbuncles together, in hopes that they would boost that guys skill level?

For skill raising, it's very specific. The fuse material has to have the exact same skill name as the base monster. Anything else just feeds exp with no chance.

If I evolve it, does it keep the skill bonus?

The game tells you what the evolved mon's stats are. The only thing that gets kept is the +.

If the skill name does not change, any skillups it has received will remain.

Oddly, it won't have but a fraction of the monsters currently in-game.

On the other hand they're actually making a single player RPG out of it, supposedly.
