Especially since it hits upon one of my biggest peeves in the universe. Bonus points if you can guess what it is. :3
If it is what I think it is, I don't know what it's called, but it is best shown in a certain, beautiful short story.
The Story with the HammerA man wants to put a picture on his wall. He got the nail, but not the hammer. His neighbour got one. So he decides to go over and borrow it. But then the doubt creeps in: What if the neighbour doesn't want to lend me his hammer? Just yesterday he greeted me so briskly. Maybe he was in a hurry. Maybe he pretended to be in a hurry because he has a grudge against me. But why? I've never done anything to him; he must be mistaken. If somebody asked me to lend them a hammer, I'd give it away in an instant. Why won't he? Why would one deny such a simple request to his fellow citizens? People like that make me sick. And then he thinks he is better than me, all because he has a hammer and I don't! Enough with that!
And so he rushes towards next door and rings the bell, the neighbour opens, but before he can say "Good morning", the man yells: "Just keep your damn hammer!"
