Ha ha. How old is the image?
at the bottom says 2003, but my signature behind marks 2002, so yeah.
probably a bit before I dropped drawing in total and went gangsta.
On the note of topic however, many DevArt and others says that tracing is bad and you should feel bad.
I quote BULLSHIT on that. Everything I can draw and do so good today (though nowhere near industrial level good) is all thanks to tracing, years of tracing will guide your hands to follow those exact formulaic lines and forms for the best bishoujo art.
As opposed to the hard lines exhibited by the male torso, which is relatively easy to draw (hence why I chose Marvel comic style) because I never traced those, yet surprisingly good at it. (it was probably because I sketched my father's torso at age 13 or so, he has a six pack, and still does although less defined) The male torso is made of hard chiseled lines, muscle blocks give stature and texture as well as shadowing made easy, compared with the smooth bishoujo style, which employs smoothness and shadows that seem to be NOT there. (like how you don't see shadows on the surface of a mirror)
