Yes, according to the rules.
Normal 1CCs : PCB, IN, PoFV, MoF, UFO, TD, DDC, HSiFS, WBaWC.
Extra Clears: IN, MoF, HSiFS, WBaWC.

Yes, you can use A2 and B bullets. You can do WHATEVER you want to a bullet, as long as it's within 1 frame of the bullet being spawned.

If you *don't* use delay lasers when they are necessary, you will receive point deductions.

According to the rule that forbbid using bullets spawning bullets due to the use of Obj_MoveGetX/Y, can we use CreateShotOA1 and CreateShotOB1 since it's a way to break this rule?

No. It was said that any way around the rules is breaking the rules as well, even if it isn't a direct violation.

As a general note, it should ALWAYS be obvious whether or not something can hit the player.

As long as they don't mimic any of the forbidden functions. (You can't have hitbox-less bullet made so you can make the real one a different angle. Than that, mimicking ObjMove_SetAngle(); )

I personally do not think that familiars are a problem as long as the familiars look like and behave as familiars, and the bullets spawned follow the general guidelines. However, the other judges need to weigh in on this.

If it doesn't have a hitbox, you can do what you want to the it. Famliars like the one's in IN when focused, or the one's in Ran/Yukari's 2nd spell, or the one's in Chen's midboss patterns in PCB stage 2 are all fine.

The only things I say are, make sure they obviously do not have a hitbox and do not do something like artificially giving the familiar a hitbox.

Since they shoot bullets they obligatory have the bullet hitbox but familars themselves are guaranteed 100% hitbox-free.

As a reminder, it is against standard guidelines to update your entry after the submission date and before the judging period has concluded. As such, the sign-in sheet will likely be locked to prevent edits once the deadline has passed, and judges will be downloading the versions on the sheet at the time of submission.

Well, I wanted to enter for old time's sake because the premise looked simple enough for getting back in DMF, but I procrastinated for too long and now I gotta disappear for two weeks. Oh well. :V

First Impressions Stream will be held on July 5, 2016 at 3PM EST

All entries will be done in Alphabetical Order. DNHLP videos will be recorded directly from this stream - if you want a Let's Play video of your script, please PM me in advance - my policy is blind runs only. Really bad runs and really bad scripts don't make it to Youtube. If you want a DNHArt video, please PM me stating so - I want to know these things in advance for preparation purposes.

As usual, the versions of the entries I stream will be the versions I judge. However, I will not be judging from the first impressions or third party videos unless it is impossible for me to run your script (e.g. your script runs at 15 FPS).

As a reminder, scripts that crash on startup will automatically get a 0 from me (other judges may think otherwise, but chances are your script will be disqualified if it crashes on startup). Additionally, blatant violation of the rules will result in disqualification. Minor infractions will be handled by the judges.

And as usual, best practices for your script include:

-Using .ogg files for music (do not use 50MB .wav files for bgm and do not use 15 minute super extended tracks - use proper looping please). For information on exporting to .ogg using Audacity, please refer to Using Danmakufu's Sound Functions

-Test on someone else's computer BEFORE the submission date. Rename the folder your script comes in from Bulletforge/wherever you host the script and make sure the pathing is correct (See Helepolis's Understanding Paths and Directories tutorial if you are unfamiliar).

-Some of the judges enjoy browsing your code and assets. Problems such as duplicated assets (which increase the size of the download), missing player scripts (do NOT tell us to download some player from somewhere - include it within your script and use #Player to require it), and hard-to-find/confusing executables (i.e. we can't figure out which script you want us to judge - ex: you have three plural files and we can't tell which one is the entry to be judged) will most likely result in penalties.

-Provide a README or somewhere in the entry specify your name. I swear that for the LOCAA 7 contest, three of the downloads were simply titled 'LOCAA7' and nowhere in #Text, #Title, or a README was the name of the scripter stated. Please don't be that person.

Anyways, just make sure that you're ready to submit by the deadline and, most importantly, have fun!

It's certainly a bit late to ask, but can we do hitbox-less familar (with a pattern which doesn't respect the bullet rule) that spawn famliar with hitbox which respect with the rule and spawn bullets?

I don't think so. Because you're mimicking a forbidden function.

The way you phrase it, you're trying to change the spot of a familiar by making it hitboxless and then applying a hitbox again?

I think more about a hitboxless familar that spaws smaller killable familars which can shoot. Or things like that. I'm not trying to make familar that loses it hitbox when it move. If I do this, I only use hitboxless familar.

I feel like I'm misunderstanding something. You say you want to spawn a familiar that doesn't have a hitbox, then you want the familiar to spawn familiars that have hitboxes and shoot bullets?

If that's correct then no, you can't do that.

The word "familiar" is misleading. Anything that has a hitbox is a bullet, except the boss (or bosses). That's the main thing you have to keep in mind.

You can't spawn bullets on another bullet so you can't spawn bullets on a familiar.
If a familiar doesn't have a hitbox then it's
not a bullet. In this case, you can do whatever you want with it.

Please put this player into your core player folder(not the one in PSEiki) if it is not there.
