Sorry, that's a typo, I meant to say less than 6 hours. There's no way I could do it that early. I was still practicing stage 4 or 5 at that playtime. But I guess it's still kinda good, right?

Also, I think I could have done it a bit earlier, but I managed to beat everything (except Sakuya's Marionette and Remilia's Scarlet Netherworld and Red Magic) without bombing in practice, so I thought I don't have to use them (and failed horribly).

This is a big accomplishment since I now know my first LNB wasn't a fluke.

So the new year has started very well for me

I managed to 1cc Normal with the remaining characters, too.

Done 20 minutes after midnight. I felt terrible while doing this run. I was shaking and I struggled to concentrate, so I had to take a rest before facing Remilia (it didn't help much, though).

I am not used to Reimu's slow speed and low damage and I had little to no practice on Patchouli's spells (same goes for the Reimu B run), so I was surprised that it went so well. I am a bit upset that I didn't reach 80M points, though.

I felt like this was a horrible run (considering I practiced this character the most), but at least I finished it

Now, I'd like to ask - what should I try to do next? 1cc Hard or finish the extra stage?

Also, I'd like to wish you all a happy new year and I hope you achieve all your goals. This is probably the last time I'm posting here for a long time - winter holiday is about to end, so I will have no time again.

Oh, thanks for telling me, I totally forgot you can change your number of lives. I guess it wouldn't make much of a difference though, I still had some lives left at the end (but I did it again with the default setting, just to make sure

If you can 1cc with default lives, then extra stages are probably the next logical. After clearing a couple of those, moving on to hard mode is common. Most people do it in this order, I think.

I just did a 1cc MS on Normal.

I still cannot perfectly deal with those Cheetos lasers but I did manage my bombs just for this one so it's okay. And then I had to improvize because I never went past those before.

I've been thinking about switching to Hard now. First levels of Normal really aren't a problem anymore (I think I had 5 Lives/5 Bombs at Stage 4 Boss or something).
Or try to do some Extra, I have no idea.

A bit messy (Border Break & Bomb abuse..), but still, the point was to 1CC the game, and that's done !

If I have enough time, I'll do a video with comments on my run, but basically : Border Break abuse (Border && (Many Bullets || Hard SC) = Break), if no Border available, Bomb, else, die stupidly (some deaths are really stupid...)
But still happy with it !

I also finally managed a 1cc with ReimuA

Score 361m, which is a huge improvement over my first (ReimuB) 1cc. Even so, I messed up some of the scoring on Stage 2 and after that I was playing a bit half-heartedly. I guess that's actually a good mood, as it helped me not get frustrated when the silly mistakes started happening

Highlights include:
* Died to Aya's final after defeating her.
* First capture of Sanae's "Preparation".
* Stupid death to Sanae's final, running into the back end of one wave while trying to position myself for the next.
* Pre-emptively bombed Miracle of Otensui, but it wasn't enough to finish the spellcard, so I tried to play it properly and died. Hung about in the middle to weaken the spell so that my second bomb would definitely finish it -- and then died again

leaving me on my last life.
* Managed to waste four bombs on Mountain of Faith by hitting the bomb key just after pulling off an impossible dodge. This left me bombless for the last thirty seconds of the fight.
* ...and I still won

I somehow captured utsuho's first spellcard at a history of 1/67 with reimuA when I was trying to unlock stage 6 for practice mode.
I kept pushing my luck and doing it over and over again without bombing and I got it after some tries with the continues

I wouldn't test my luck again though :V

For the first time in the four or five years I've been playing Touhou, I finally captured the big fairy at the end of PCB stage 4 on Lunatic! :]

Been playing a ton of PCB actually and have captured a bunch of cards I've never been able to get down. I don't think I'll ever capture Yuyuko's midspell with the teal knives, but I'm okay with it.

Grats - it's easily the hardest one out of her lot. I personally think the fight actually gets easier as it goes.

Probably, but the one with the 10 spinning suns still gets me alot too on hard.
But this was kind of my plan to level up from normal mode, start right off the bat with SA on hard.

I know it works since I could do IN effortlessly on hard both routes after awhile.

Spell Practice is fun.

Anyway in RSS I got a bunch of captures in spell-practice, including:

Solar Butterfly in two tries
Shangri-La Genesis
Queen of Kidou, Shining like the Sun

But most importantly...
After 131 attempts, I captured Memory "The Dream the Stars Saw"!
Took more attempts than all of Momohime's other spellcards combined :V
Really happy with that though. Queen of Kidou isn't that bad when you understand how the birds coming from the edges of the screen are actually aimed (aimed where you are when the fire noise happens).

EDIT:
Second RSS lunatic 1cc, this time with MarisaB - done on a whim to unlock the Marisa Kodama spell on lunatic for spell-practice, it's the only one I hadn't captured on spell-practice at the time.
All spells captured in RSS lunatic without Hypers, mostly in spell practice.

Recently played SA with Marisa/Alice and man I love this shot type, with it I reached half way Orin. But I still feel she's impossible for me...

Marisa/Alice is by far the shot type I've made my best run with... Had 5 lives when entering stage 4 lost one life with Satori. Then, lost a life with Cat's walk... Then Orin rekt me...

LoLK Extra 4 Miss No Bomb!
Two miss on the second last stage chapter, one to the 6th non-spell, and one to the final spellcard.
This could have been a full spellcard run but I died to the final spell. A 2 miss Hecatia is pretty good for my first no bomb run.

I also got my first DDC Extra No Bomb clear with ReimuB today. There were a bunch of lucky dodges in this run.

And with these two done the only windows game left that I'm interested in to no bomb extra is PCB.

WNSP lunatic 1cc, 2 lives and 1 bomb left. (3/6 and 2/3 respectively)

I had only one death until Minayu, bombed her first non as usual, got really unlucky twice on her first spell (death, then bomb), got unlucky on her next nonspell and had to bomb right at the end, captured Ground Stained Russet Brown, got unlucky and had to bomb at her third nonspell, died once and clipped with full bombs on her next spell, then spent one bomb at her last spell.

It's good overall, but I know I can do much better. It's frustrating.
Still, I'm happy with it. I remember the last time I played this game and could barely reach stage 3 on hard.

Decided to give this one more try and then...

MoF Normal NMNB!

I'm surprised this happened considering this is the first run I've done since I got that Normal 1MNB back in November.
So many lucky dodges in this run. Completely forgot how to cap Kanako's penultimate spell but I somehow managed.

And with this I've NMNB'd normal in EoSD, MoF, and TD. Next up is UFO whenever I have time.
