I've captured Murasa's Lunatic survival a couple of times before, but Aya's is just ridiculous ;~;

I think I've captured Peerless Wind God Lunatic exactly once, on a MarisaB glitchrun of all things. The gaps were oddly large though on that particular run, so I'm sure it was mostly luck.

I LNB'd PCB again, but with only 1BB this time! Last time I broke nearly every border for the screen clears.

I wanted to LNB without deliberately breaking borders but I didn't think it would happen so quickly.

Today taught me just how ridiculous the UFO system is. Game Over'd on Stage 6 Hard, continued, and proceeded to bomb the absolute shit out of Byakuren and beat the stage. Didn't realize the game gives you seven bombs in like two minutes.

Today, after practicing a bit for 4 days, I finally "beat" my first touhou ; PCB on normal with ReimuB ! Well, with 2 continues...
Wasn't planned first, it was just a warm up run before practicing Youmu's stage, but went very well finally ! It was the first time for me to play after the first Yuyuko's SC (but I saw some video) so Yuyuko fight was... "graze, *random moves which magically works* graze, bomb, bomb, die" *repeat*. Youmu's First SC tends to be really hard for me too...

But Practice Stages unlocked, so no more excuse to not get the 1cc ! (totally and no that hard doable I think)

Also, could someone help me with all those abreviations of "Run summary" ? Like "L9MNB1BB" ?

maybe missed a (sticky?) thread about that..

I only know a few, so I'm not sure how many other ones there are:

I'm guessing you probably saw LNB and LNMNB since those are the most common. These stand for "Lunatic, no bomb clear" and "Lunatic, no miss/no bomb clear"

you can tack on -NBB for Perfect Cherry Blossom meaning "no borders broken". Broken cherry borders are basically zero-damage bombs, so people like to restrict that too. 1BB would be 1 border broken. 9M would be nine misses I suppose. Presumably though 1BB would mean the person was gunning for a NBB game and got really close, while 9M is just a matter of fact summary of the run.

Thanks dude, wasn't that hard to find ! I figured that NB = No Bomb, same for BB, but couldn't find for the "L" (not that hard) and NM (I expected ND for No Death).

Personally I think "no miss" gets confusing for people unfamiliar with the term (I think I've seen a "no miss" run in some other game where it meant every shot hits something), though you do get used to it after seeing it for a while.

There isn't a sticky about this, but that seems like a good idea?

I personally tend to think that ND is a bit more specific than NM, as ND would imply that you didn't die. in EoSD for example when you still have a miss due to a deathbomb (lets just assume you had to deathbomb.) The resultscreen counts deathbombs as a miss after all. I think some other shmups do the same too, therefore I often have thought of NM as the "Don't get hit at all and don't die too" term and ND as the "No deaths" specific term.

I decided to try for a better BoSM lunatic no miss, to see what a run by someone who's actually played the heck out of the demo would look like.

I bombed only once before Shelia, and bombed 4 times to her.
A nigh-perfect run IMO - the only things that would be different was capturing Shelia's first spellcard, and arguably her last nonspell.
I finished with 6 lives and 6 bombs, with 2 bomb pieces.

I randomly captured Music Sign "Double Score" in stage practice, and captured a lot of spellcards for DDC lunatic in spell practice.
Also perfect stage 1/1 bomb stage 2 lunatic.

1CCed RMI hard.

Made a grave blunder on Kuroji and Saragimaru's collaborative nonspell, but finished Stage 5 with 4 bombs left. Didn't quite defeat Shion, though, but she's entirely optional anyway. Maybe I'll play again and manage to defeat her.

I had no time at all.

So yeah, after being close like 4 times, I finally managed to 1cc EoSD on Normal difficulty. It's my first 1cc and I'm super proud of it

I think I was failing because I didn't use bombs in time and lost too many lives because of that.

Whoa, you managed to do a 1cc after such a short playtime? I'm jealous, it took me at least three months to get my first 1cc (and I played A LOT in my spare time).
