>"And you're fast."

> "True."

>Also, make Nue go back to her usual form. Seeing her as a man is just weird.

> "Heh, my normal form?" Nue says, waggling finger at you. "Don't want to, don't need to. But maybe you'd prefer this? Zoroark, mimic and use double team!"

> Zoroark drops it's double team to copy Nue's own version of the attack, as the two fill the room with purple cobras.

> The gigantic snakes (standing over 12 feet tall they could easily swallow you whole) start filling the passage in front of and behind you, surrounding you in all directions. Copies of the monster appear and disappear, slowly edging and circling their way towards you, as hissing and giggles fills the chamber.

>LETS GET A MOVE ON SHALL WE?

>RECRUIT MARISA AND NUE AS PARTY MEMBERS

> "I was really going more for the slavery deal, but that could work too!" Kogasa says. You make a mental note to place explosive charms on the zipper of your bag, and wonder if even that is enough to keep Marisa from dipping her hand in there.

> "Slavery isn't really my thing," Marisa says, "But you can go ahead and take Nue."

> "Right, if Mokou wins, we get Nue."

> "Heck, even if Mokou loses, how about you keep Nue. Sounds good?"

> Nue's voice interrupts the witch, "You are banned from deciding the winnings. Anyway, Zori, time to move!"

> Dozens of snakes are pouncing towards you.

>It doesn't matter which one's real if we BURN ALL OF THEM.

>BURN! BURN! BURN BURN BURN!

>MOKOU used ERUPTION!

> You go the burn everything route, throwing flames at every single snake you can see before even one can reach you. Cloaking yourself in fire, the ground glows beneath your feet.

>Just be sure not to burn Kogasa. Can't go hurting our allies.

> About halfway through you pyrotechnics you take note not to burn Kogasa, although both she and Marisa are way ahead of you. You see Marisa's flown a good distance away, while Kogasa is huddled behind a nearby rock.

>Also have Haunter do something.  He needs the EXP.

> You command your haunter to do something.

> "Busy not burning boss!" Myon says, ducking beneath the flames. You realize that you don't necessarily have to ignite things to hurt them, the heat does that for you. This could be a problem for Myon.

> Well, you suppose not dying is a great way to earn EXP. It's always worked for you. Well, except he's already dead, isn't he.

>Can he learn Fire Punch?

> Well... huh. You don't know. You ask him.

> "Maybe. Haven't tried. Later, alright?" Myon huffs, taking cover about 100 feet away from you.

>Can he learn a move that makes him intangible or immune to fire? I'm thinking like the voltorb-kingler combo earlier.

> "I could possess you. You seem to handle heat well," Myon says.

> You are not thrilled with that option.

>If we see Nue having a (not so obvious) opening,

>FUJIYAMA VOLCANO! In a punch.

> The illusioary snakes are on full retreat both behind and in front of you, cascadingly disappearing as you figure Nue must be dropping the act. Although halfway through fleeing, two of the snakes in front of you turn around, and one grows those weird six wings. The winged one launches itself off the normal one, arching through the air and hurtling itself towards you.

> You could fujiyama volcano punch it, but the problem with exploding punches is that they tend to blow your hand off.

> You decide meh, it's worth losing an arm for the sake of awesome.

>Alternatively, just punch her with a fiery version of Master Spark. Because it's a giant beam of fire and will piss Marisa off, win/win.

> FIRE COLORED MASTER SPARK!

> Wait. Fire doesn't some in laser form. You realize physics ruins everything though, so you'll just have to MAKE laser fire.

>She's a youkai she'll live.
>But yeah, just use enough fire to hurt a bit instead of kill. We must have had times when we just wanted to inflict pain without horrible death.

> You decide to go for the blow own knuckes off route. That's a pretty happy medium between death and pain.

>We want to avoid that trident though. What about something like cloaking ourself in fire for a thorns-type defense, and dodging parrying or grabbing the trident?

> You are already cloaked in fire, although fire isn't really a physical defense in the same sense as thorns. Which is why you're really surprised by this latest advance. Course, you find it difficult to avoid something you can't see, as you can't quite tell which part of the hurtling snake is the trident.

> Eh, just blast the whole thing back. As the snake digs it's fangs into you, you punch the snake with a blow that blasts your fingers off.

> ...And find that the only thing you hit was Nue's trident, hurling it back at the normal snake. The normal snake then takes Kogasa's form to catch it.

> "That is some nasty recoil." Nue whistles, glancing at your arm, as she disguises the trident as Kogasa's umbrella.

> "Um, Nue," Kogasa says, "My umbrella's a darker purple than that."

> "Oh, right," Nue says, adjusting her disguise. "Hey Kogasa, you know how to get through that heat shield?"

> "Not a clue."

> "Pity."

> Finding Kogasa's conversation with herself slightly disorienting you glance around, noting there's no more snakes left. A quick look around also reveals that Nue's Zoroark has disappeared.

I want to give him a command to use his initiative and proactively do things without waiting for us to order it, but I don't know if we trust him to not attack us/Kogasa. Clever wording may help a little.
I also wonder if maybe that Kogasa is the fox, and the real Kogasa is somewhere else.

A really paranoid person might wonder if that Kogasa is Haunter ...

I want to give him a command to use his initiative and proactively do things without waiting for us to order it, but I don't know if we trust him to not attack us/Kogasa. Clever wording may help a little.

> "Sure can do boss," Myon says, waving his hands and swirling his eyes.

> "No you don't," Nue says, charging. She swings her umbrella around like a sword, madly attacking Myon as fast as she can. Myon is knocked aside during her rage, but as Nue goes for a second strike Myon snaps his fingers and points at Kogasa. "Mokou, hit her NOW."

> "Wait, what?" Kogasa says as Nue charges at her instead. Kogasa leaps back, barely parrying Nue's advances with her own umbrella while in full retreat. "Hey, wait, stop! Nue, your confused!"

> "How dare you say that about my mother!" Nue responds.

> "YOU'RE A JEEEERRRKKK" Kogasa wails at Myon.

> Myon just laughs, "I'm a ghost. It's what I do."

I also wonder if maybe that Kogasa is the fox, and the real Kogasa is somewhere else.

> "HELP!" Kogasa begs, running towards you. You think she's crying.

A really paranoid person might wonder if that Kogasa is Haunter ...

> Unfortunately your haunter is accounted for, but you would give him a lot of credit if he thought of that.

> "Zori, lend a hand! Use night slash!" Nue commands.

> Weird, you still don't see Zoroark anywhere. If it's not Kogasa, you wonder if it's even in the chamber.

> You happen to like this strategy. Probably the easiest way to handle the situation.

>Apply fire to Nue
>Save Kogasa

>We're shipping MoKogasa OTP

>Yeah, no burning Kogasa.

> But, admittedly, setting Kogasa on fire may hurt your relationship with her. You decide against lighting party members on fire.

>Dodge Kogasa. Hit Nue.

If this Kogasa is the real one, we can apologize later.

> You dodge out of Kogasa's way, and she makes no effort to attack you. Then, when the doppelganger reaches point blank range, you apply a liberal amount of fire to Nue's general direction, igniting the walls of the cave a brilliant orange.

> Direct hit.

> "What are you doing!" Nue screams, leaping back while attempting to pat out the fires engulfing her. "Stop attacking me and use night slash!"

> You feel the ground under you give way as something behind your reaches around and slices your neck. Buckling, you spare a glance behind you, catching a glimpse of that fox thing diving headfirst into the earth.

> Well. You found the zoroark.

>"Ow."

> You attempt to speak, but it comes out as a gurgle.

>Burn it before it can get fully into the ground.

> You decide to incinerate it for that move. It yelps as you scorch its legs, before disappearing underground.

>Make a note to find out how it does that later. Would be very useful for assassinating Kaguya.

> You realize you've got to try that move on Kaguya. You'll need to figure out how it does it later.

> There are two ways a slit throat can get to you. The first, usually faster way is lack of bloodflow to the brain. The second is drowning in your own blood as it flows into your lungs. Since you're both feeling lightheaded and finding it impossible to breath, you press your hand on your neck and begin cauterizing the wound, at least until your regeneration finishes up.

>Burn the ground itself for insurance. Hell, melt it and float.

> Floating is a go, and burning is fine, but sadly, you are not Utsuho, so your flames are not enough to melt the ground. Either way, next time that Zoroark tries to kill you it'll be getting a face full of pain.

>actually, get Haunter to possess that Zoruark. Can't leave him just floating around.

> You attempt to give your Haunter a command, but find yourself just hacking up blood. So gesture towards the ground instead.

> "I'll figure something out," Haunter says, chasing the Zoroark through the hole.

> "You... aren't Zori, are you," Nue says, holding her head while she points her umbrella at you. You see that she's managed to put herself out, although you can't tell that she's been damaged at all. Although you suppose that's more because she's a shapeshifter than because she's undamaged.

> "AND I'M NOT MOKOU!" Kogasa wails.

> "Oh. Sorry! You should probably go find Marisa or something, it's pretty dangerous here for you."

> Kogasa is more than happy to comply, as she makes to flee the battle.

> "Anyway, right. Nice move, but we're going to have to crush you for it," Nue says, changing form into some kind of strange stone golem.

> You notice that Nue makes her trident... umbrella... whatever, invisible again right after finishing the transformation.

>Physics can go die in a ditch, fire a massive concentrated stream of fire at her. That's probably close enough.

> Screw physics. You'll make a fire laser if it kills you. You spread your wings, using them to stabilize a horizontal vortex of flames that fills the cave. It may not be a laser, but it's definitely a column of death and it forces Nue to retreat.

> "Zori, crush her, NOW!" Nue commands as she's about to be overtaken. You hear an ear-splitting snap from above; glancing up, you see huge cracks have appeared in the ceiling of the cave, originating from a point halfway between you and Nue.
