Also, bots take forever to level. In my 4month play time, I've leveled exactly one bot to 10, and that was Crimrose, which I made a Seraph. Lily Rain is sitting at lvl 8, (24,000 fuuu), 2nd Crimrose at lvl 9, and I haven't bothered leveling any others past 8, as I'm focusing on them. Isn't it enough that those removers cost thousands of UC each?

Mass quest mode + exp tickets

You'll reach level 10 much quicker than in Union Wars.

3* CS is pretty foolproof and it is likely to be a clear even with random pubs, but haku can be shorter if there's lots of professionals.

I know, I've been doing that, but Berz and friends get really, really boring after a while. Also, you don't need to be pro for haku, just not super derpy. I thought CS took the longest out of the 4, because of how large the areas are and the long cutscenes.

I'm thinking of giving this game a spin after reading up this topic straight down. Is this game still alive and kicking, more or less? Not quite certain on what type I'd start out with, either.

Pick Crimrose as your starter no matter what, she has 2-slot unlocked parts and comes with a garapon weapon that's currently unavailable elsewhere.

Also, boost run isn't that bad

except when I can't find any cover to hide behind and refill boost.

The game is rather visibly dying unfortunately. Really, I can't recommend this game to anyone at this point without feeling guilty about it -in fact, at this point I have to recommend against it. Just a few months ago, I never thought I'd be saying this. I think this sums up the current state of CB nicely.

I honestly don't understand why people need RT to enjoy this game. I only use UC bots (except for Misty) and I still love this game. Sure, I face a lot of overpowered RT bots like EVE, but I just deal with it. I'm just here to have fun, not become some super-awesome player like you guys.

But change Misty to Thoarla Nimbus, only potentially RT bot I've got.
I'm more of a Quests kinda guy anyhow, I only do the PvP if i need quick cash/exp.

Finally got a working build for Elisalotte involving a fully tuned sword, >38 str, and high-tier boost run speed (though only during aura; that shouldn't be running out anyway, right?). I was worried she'd be useless forever for me. :3c

Now to wait for the buff that (I desperately hope) she's getting this maintenance.

The new gara hurts my head. The chances for getting gold is just weird, there are some people who waste $100 before they can get 1 gold while others constatly get gold. xzpwnz says that it has a higher chance of gold than Sugoi but most people say it's actually worse. I know random is random, but random still has consistensy. For example, if I flip a coin 100 times the results might not be exactly 50/50 but it should be pretty close to that. With the Royal gara it seems like the chance of gold varies between players instead of just being luck. Maybe I'm thinking about this too much.

Also, is this good enough for a WLK Nicole? Oh yea, I finally got my first Handy Bazooka after failing to get so many from the lotto cubes.

Really, I find that hard to believe. Sure the numbers have been staying near 300/50/50, but the amount of available rooms has decreased dramatically, I can barely hop rooms because often both(maybe 3) of the rooms have at least 80 till they start again.

You honestly don't, you just need to tune a little and you can do well. The thing is, almost nobody tunes their bots(I don't blame them, tuning is annoying as hell), so just tuning WLK/FLY and weapon speed can make you go far.

Still, I'm not going to lie. It's way more frustrating dealing with AG and Alpha Raiders than other bots. AG's not as bad, though I wish her stun rate was lower. Also, dual Vipers/bucklers are ugly. I hate Alpha Raiders because the moment I'm shot by one, half my health is gone by time I can move again.

The moment I see any of those two, I gtfo, no matter what bot I have. Course, most of the time they see me first...

I thought Quests give more UC/exp than matches do. If they didn't, almost no one would do them.

Considerably more exp, yes. UC is lower most of the time, unless you're really pro at 3* frac/haku/CS.

Well, that's the case with Arcantus, I wouldn't call the boss runs to be "mindless".

Arena is pretty "mindless" these days, especially with hurr durr bots like Aquila Girl and Vanguard Fencer.

Oh btw Rukoto, after you sign up don't forget to go to this page to get a free robot. I would recommend Maril March Trill. She can be one of the best arts once you get used to her weapon which has great homing. She's also one of the 2 robots available there that you can only get with Rt, the other one is Mecha Jetter Gold but he is easily outclassed by Seraph.

I agree with Skye here, MMT is a pretty solid bot.
Sadly, the one you can get has no slots, so you can't really tune her without using different ones.
If you have the cash, I highly suggest getting a Payload Rifle, or a Scouter Rifle.
MMT does surprisingly well with Rifle-type weapons. She starts with a Musket, and that weird Right Arm that shoots...soundwaves? Looks more like lightning.
Also, she's a rhythm-based sorta bot, you gotta know the timing and rhythm for using the subweapon.

But once you can get it down, it's like Skye said, one of the best arts.
She's just a tad on the slow side in terms of flight. and she's not particularly durable, but some cost up carts might cut the mustard if you're intent on using her stock parts.

If you want to go SERIOUS BUSINESS with your Maril, all her parts will need to be removed anyways, so the lack of slots won't matter. And it's better off to focus on WLK with her so the lack of FLY will not matter either. Build Arm AM, Misside BS, Ace Braver LG, Hound LG, Thoarla LG, give her Ballistic Launcher/Box Missile/Blast Bazooka/Bazooka/Handy Bazooka/Buckler and tune her for TEC/WLK and you are ready to kick bubblegum and chew ass.

As a new player, he probably won't have access to things like Ballistic Launcher, Handy Bazooka, and Buckler right away and Thoarla LG and Blast Bazooka are Rt. Though you can still use the other things he mentioned in the meantime.

And like reVeleske said, remember to tune up her WLK. A lot of mistakes that people do with tuning their arts is that they focus on maximizing TEC first to do as much damage as possible but it's pretty pointless if you can't stay alive once someone gets near you. The majority of art robots have terrible mobility and most of the time have the largest hitboxes, fortunately Maril has great mobility for an art bot, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need more. reVeleske uses a Destructor with Grandum BS which is more commonly known as Fatart. It's seen as a free kill to most player due to being freaking huge and slow as balls but reV can still end up in the top 10 without dying because he tuned him to have more than 20 fly.

That's the funny part, every dick, john and harry thinks I'm a free frag and nosedive at me every opportunity they get, even when I'm peppering them with Blast Bazooka shots or kiting them through the entire team's firepower, they don't give a damn how much damage I'm wrecking on them because their minds are simply made up about being able to kill me with ease, and they will just keep shooting and body-slamming towards me until they die. Some semi-smart ones start to run when they hit red HP but it's too late for them by then.

At the same time, it's fucking annoying really, they do end up lowering my HP a bit (though with Stun Regain + Beam Guard + Blast Guard + 20 TGH, not as much as they'd like) and I don't always get the kill. The lower my HP is, the more retards I see body-slamming at me. LOW HP FATART! MUST BE FREE FRAG! I really much rather be left unharassed thank you very much. :V

Went and got MMT, there are still like 2k keys for her at Game Ogre :V; thanks for the heads up regardless. I should also get into a guild because doing Arcantus solo is really really hard for me (trying to get through the second area with a Lv2 Crimrose, Lv2 Jaguar Arm and Lv2Lazflamme). Don't think I got any of those equips you mentioned, nor do I have the materials to tune-up yet (aside from doing that tutorial tune-up). But yeah, thanks for all the tips.

Your life will become much easier if you just use 3 Airs. They don't have to deal with most of the obstacles ARTs and LNDs do. That's why everyone opens Bastagant with a an air, and two other bots depending on what they feel like doing. I would rather do Arcantus with Lvl 1 Beezles than a Mighty Byne, tbqh.
