It was short, but I remember it well. I saw a blonde woman, I assume it was Yukari due to ribbons in her hair and the length of hair, reaching out towards me, looking desperate. I was hanging onto a cliffside for dear life. I reach out to take her hand... and I wake up. I still saw her face for a few seconds, shrinking away her desperate expression only worsening, as if I fell. :ohdear:

That was over a month ago, yet it's still clear to me. I don't really know what to make of it :ohdear:

I had a dream about a real-life danmaku battle between me and this guy. Every time I got hit, it really hurt, but then all the other bullets would clear away and another spell card would start. I eventually won by throwing rocks or something (since a hit still counted as a hit, no matter how weak it was), then he blew up and reappeared. I hugged him, and then we briefly talked about how fun it was.
Oh, there was also a magical cyborg as "player 2," but I don't remember any details there.

I had a dream where I was playing PCB Extra. No doubt my gaming side wanting to show itself. The only parts I remember were Wizard Fox Thoughts, Unilateral Contact, and Kokkuri-san's Contract.

All I quite remember from what I'll call an otherwise indescribable dream is that things were very dark, and the words "So nanoka~" wouldn't stop echoing around. And yet, I wasn't super scared like it was a nightmare, but I wasn't too happy either. It was strange.

I had lots of dreams where i was Kongara (from HRtP..)
I also dreamed with Nitori (i was looking for her clothes in my house, lol) and Kikuri, she was in my bedroom, but it wasn't my bedroom, it remembered a bit my uncle's house. She was sleeping and her face was really cute. :3

Another dream with Touhou in it. I remember I had to write my top 8 favorite Touhou characters on a chalkboard (others were in the room too). Utsuho was the obvious top spot, but the only other thing I remember was placing Kogasa at #8. Looking back, this is kind of surprising - she should have been higher.

I dreamed about going into PCB stage 6 Lunatic with 5 lives in stock and thinking "there's no way I'm not going to finally 1cc my first lunatic today"

Then I woke up and become kind of sad.

WE HAVE A PROPHET
Unfortunately, that's not the case, because just last night I had another TH13 dream.
Past dream, I saw a reddish Ex stage. Last night it was a dark blue phantasmagoria game. There's no way that's going to work :U

Ok so, in my dream, I was a bit younger, living in an orphanage...full of Touhou girls.

 8)

Dinner time was so wacky!

But anyway, my room was connected to Remilia's by a sliding door. But I'd only see her in the morning when she was brushing her teeth.

So one morning, she was out in the kitchen, getting some blood out of the refrigerator to drink.

I said something like "Wow, Remi actually came out of her room, hahaha." She gave me the most disgusted B( glare and went back to her room.

The person in charge of the orphanage, I don't know what you'd call them, but it was Byakuren, said "Remilia's been very depressed. She hasn't come out of her room in days because she feels awful about herself." And I felt like a diiiick.

So later on I went to her room and knocked on her door and apologized...

She opened the door a bit, and glared out at me. I told her again that I was sorry, and that it was ok if she hated me...

She said "I don't hate you...baka" and closed the door.

From then on, we'd talk to each other at night, and watch TV in the morning, and sometimes she'd get in bed with me, and I'd be happy to provide comfort for her... but I was nervous at first with her being a vampire and all.

And that was my dream.

Man, I really needed that Touhou dream. I really needed that story of growing closer to someone. I really needed to write it out. Ahhh, it feels great! I feel like I could write about this sort of thing again. It was able to unfold in my head without the constant perfectionist holdups, and it was able to touch my heart.

Saved from page two, I love this topic too much for it to be forgotten.

Sooo. I'm noticing a pattern with my dream recall. You know how you can imagine something, then make a story out of it or whatever? Then you can 'remember' it later, but you know it's just imagined so you pay it little mind.
Well I keep waking up, now thinking "Ah, no dreams. Just that stup- OMG yes!" It's the exact same thing! Remembering dreams is like remembering something you imagined out of nowhere. But I swear my mind's working against me.

So one of my two dreams last night(Darnit Touhou... I had to sacrifice remembering my Daniel X movie-dream to remember my Touhou one. =X) was about playing a Touhou game. During the dream, I swear, I thought I was playing some old game I never played IRL before. But after I woke up, I realized it wasn't like any I've ever heard of.
It was.. Definitely not older than PCB. The graphics were too new for anything before that. I must've been playing on Easy because there wasn't a lot of spam-danmaku, but I still kept dying a lot lol. It was somewhat dark, no music I can remember sadly(Though the lazers had sounds.), and I guess it was right before the 5th Stage Boss. Like Eirin that does Kaguya's "Come back after I get killed pretty angry and try to own you."
So the before-the-boss part, it was mostly fairies shooting some bullets at me, but mostly these extremely annoying red lazers. They'd make the noise and show the tiny line for a second, wherever you were when it started, then it'd shoot them and they'd stay there for about 5 seconds, trying to trap you to get hit by the normal danmaku. I kept running into them thinking they'd be gone before I got past them. >_< I actually was aware of myself losing lives, I went from 4 lives and 1 bomb to 1 life and 1 bomb. Then I got to the boss. :o
The boss was wearing a silver/white blue-tinted dress, and had straight silver hair as long as maybe Marisa's. (Just noticed how short/long everyone's hair is in Touhou, why are there no mediums. x_X) I remember I was actually playing as Marisa, but judging by her shot/s I probably wasn't at f.. oh yeah, I died. Well anyways. The boss came in, and I don't remember most of the dialogue, but Marisa was somewhat annoyed at the boss for completely getting rid of everyone's dreams. (Kirby in dream land comes to mind... But I haven't played that in 5 years.) She probably did some other things too, but that's all I can remember. The boss did the typical "Yeah, well, that sucks, I need things to stay like this for a while." So then the fight started, but this must be anti-spoiler for Touhou 13, because I don't remember there actually being a fight. (Sorry, no Danmaku pattern hints. :ohdear:)
After Marisa somehow pacifist-ly beat her lol, she did the blow-up-thing, but without the stars you see after beating the last boss of a level. I remember there were three options in the box, like IN's choice to fight Kaguya or Eirin. One said go home, one said.. Something involving the Shrine, and the last one said "Keep going". Obviously my subconscious isn't the best game-maker, that's not even worth choosing over. XD
So I guess I chose to go on ahead, and then the silver-haired-boss comes back all angry, saying something like "You ruined everything you jerk,"(Something meaning that, not in those words at all.) Followed by "You'll never dream again!" I got the feeling she meant she'd kill Marisa though, not that somewhat empty threat.
Then, gasp, there actually was danmaku. There were like 4 circles of light-blue bullets that looked like Reisen's, one around her, the other about two inches spread out from that, another that I was in, and then one around almost the whole screen. They did something like spin around and mix the bullets between the circles, so you had to get through small openings, but I don't remember anything after that. =| (Gee, I hope I won with my 1 life left.)

For some reason the boss reminds me of Satori, but she doesn't act like her at all. Weird.

So yep that's it. Touhou 13's Stage 5 Boss and 'disaster'!
Spoiler:
...Not....
...Wow, what's the word they use? Not disaster, tragedy, catastrophe... Ugh. Should've slept more.

If only I was an artist and I remembered that character's name, she'd be my new favorite... Somewhat plain silver/blue dress, long straight silver hair... Oh god why does she resemble Reisen so much.(Though her hair was a little shorter than Reisen's.) I want to say her power was something psychological-related, which is probably why she reminds me of Satori. Maybe the fact nobody had any dreams was a side effect of whatever she was using her powers to do.

Wow, just wow...

I had a dream not about Touhou, but about THIS FORUM.

I dreamed that a new True or False Game had been started up (and not in Rumia' Party Games; can't remember where though), but it was mostly paragraphs of theories to agree or disagree with, and there were more than one per post. I can't remember any of them, but one was about "Kanako's mushrooms" (a concept that of course made perfect sense in the dream). I wanted to post "Next poster thinks this game will get removed," but I had no idea about the last poster's theories, so I couldn't agree or disagree with them. Lastly, the only thing I remember about any of the posters is that one of them had a ridiculously long signature with banner ads for all of the Harry Potter movies.

I had a dream where I was walking around Pacific Mall (An Asian shopping centre in Canada) and I found a store that was selling a Chen cosplay costume. I was humming Chen's theme when I walked inside. I was planning to buy the costume but an adult man already got to it before me. I asked him if he was buying it for his daughter or something but he told me he was buying it for HIMSELF. And it kinda creeped me out 'cause the costume was size extra small and the man was like around his late 40s.

Darn 'school, never the time to post things when I actually remember them. (And, judging by how huge my previous posts apparently were, may not be a bad thing.)

And lately, my dreams seem to be coming in pairs. I'm pretty sure it's that "Dream Cycle" thing, how you dream so-many times a night, and every certain amount of time your dream changes/start a new one.
The second, given it was so completely weird and I only remember 80% of it, I won't post. The first that I remember, though, was yet again a 100% Touhou dream. Y'know, playing the game and all without the rest of the universe existing.
This time, like the others, when I first woke up, gave me the idea I was "simply imagining it" and that it wasn't actually a dream. But it was. >_< Seemed, again, like an old game I haven't really heard much about or played before. The setup was more like EoSD in that the side scoring/whatever area was plain, with maybe a red outline. It seemed to have two screens like a DS, but that might also just have been the scene scrolling up and then back down. (Seriously, everything but the screen(s) was black. There wasn't actually a console..) Now, as for danmaku, I don't remember much. Mostly I remember someone similar to, or actually, Yuugi, being behind me/on the bottom of the screen and shooting two lazers that cut across the screen leaving only a small gap when they came together. (Like Rumia in EoSD or, I think, Tewi in STB. Or whatever game she did that in.) There were a few other bullets, but once again I must've been playing on Easy. ::)
So after once again beating the (Actually, might've been the mid-boss.), the screen either scrolled up or switched to a second screen and showed something/one coming down/closer to me. Don't remember this far too well, but I don't think it was really a girl. More like a monster-type thing. No dialogue sadly. All I remember was it was suddenly very hard. (No danmaku, no dialogue... I blame school.)

So. That's pretty weird considering Yuugi is one of my most under-appreciated characters. The character I actually was may have been the last Boss of my previous dream or Reisen, since that's who I tend to get in Touhou-dreams, but I really didn't see.
Spoiler:
I have no idea how I turn such little info into such giant posts, sorry. >_<

I dreamt I was in Barnes and Noble and they had English versions of the Touhou Books (Bohemian archive, etc). I was overjoyed until I realised that I was dreaming. Then I was sad, but at least I had Grimoire of Marisa vol. 2 in my hands for a short while. Front cover was really cool too: Marisa sitting on a Crescent Moon, looking pensive.

First Touhou dream in a long time. I was practicing UFO Stage 1, only not. While I did hear "At the End of Spring" clearly enough, the background was more dark red (like stage 5), the enemies took way too long to kill, and bullets stayed on the screen after they spawned. Needless to say I died a lot. :derp:

Obviously I need to play more, my anxiety is starting to seep into my unconscious.

Let's see, I had this dream on the 7th...

I dreamed that I was Madotsuki, and I was in this room that was in a world that I swear to God this is the third time I've visited it already (the first time it was in a car crash dream, the second one was when a hamburger was trying to make a move on me).  I was allied with Mima, Konngara, Orin, Kaguya, Mew, and Mewtwo to defeat Ex-Rumia.  We were going to go to this preschool with three floors, and we were going to be on the third floor for some reason...I think it was for an information mission.  I forgot where we had to be, though, so I got left behind by accident.  I went to the preschool anyway, but when I got there this girl warned me that while dreams lurked there, so did nightmares.  I think it was either Yukari or Gengetsu, but I think I saw a gap and the room I was in had purple walls so I'm going to guess Yukari.  Anyway, the first and second floors didn't work, so I went to the third floor.  This little girl ran by, and it was actually Chen, or Chen's granddaughter or something.  Yukari and Ran were working at a pharmeucy or something.  I think it was a time line.  The two Chens took a nap on a balcony outside, and I sat down inside and took the peace as an opportunity to call Kaguya.  She said she'd come get me and to wait for her.

All of the sudden, I was outside the building, but I was still on the phone with Kaguya.  Suwako and Rumia were there, and Rumia started to change to Ex-Rumia so Suwako panicked.  Kaguya told me to RUN, so I did that.  I ran all the way back to the room and hid under the bed covers.  Since I had no other options, I read Hansel and Gretel (although since this is my dream, it distorted the title into "The Gretel").  When I realized how similiar Gretel's situation was to mine, that we were both alone and scared, I started to cry and lifted the covers, only to come face to face with Ex-Rumia.  She tried to kill me or eat me or something, but then Konngara came and beat Ex-Rumia off me.  Then Orin and Mima came and defeated Ex-Rumia using evil spirits.  Then, Yukari gapped everyone and then we were inside this really pretty place that reminded me of the inside of Okuu's cape.  Marisa, Byakuren, and Reimu were there, and I can't remember anything after that.

Last night I had a dream last night that I killed these two people and drowned the girl because she had a water fetish or something, and then Parsee battled Kikuri.  I can't remember if I was Parsee or not, or if Parsee was just the player character, but Kikuri used Recollection "Trauma in the Glimmering Depths" and it was really easy to dodge, just like it is in real life.  After that, I read a list that Shikieiki had of people who had to be arrested or something.  Kikuri was going to be arrested, and so was Konngara because she was the Reimu of Fire or something and it was really weird.  It was mostly PC98 characters and people who lived underground that were to be arrested.

Another touhou dream! Wee~ I don't remember what exactly happened in the first part, but eventually I defeated Remilia on Lunatic and I was like "holy crap woop first lunatic 1cc ever", then I realized that I don't remember anything about what went on during the patchy fight and figured "eh, this is probably a dream" (oh and I was still dreaming at that point BTW, so I dunno how I managed to come to that conclusion while not waking up). I then went on to somehow be looking at an extra stage from a fangame I saw yesterday evening on youtube, and decided to make one myself. I made two non-spell patterns and two spell card patterns before I woke up.

I am still amazed by the number of dreams people having with actually Touhou content in them. Makes me still wonder what exactly triggers it. Most likely it seems that more adult people tend to have less these type of dreams. (What I can conclude from my own childhood and current dreams).

How much of this posted in this thread would be actually a true dream, rather than making it up. Makes me wonder as well.

Tends to be whatever you think about/do a lot. If you play touhou or obsess about touhou a lot, you're more likely to have dreams about it. I remember when I was at the peak of my DotA addiction and I'd have dreams about playing the actual game.  :ohdear:

That is the actual mind boggling thing. I held a small experiment with myself for two weeks last year. I was curious why so many people were having touhou-dreams and thus came up with the following experiment. Each night, before going to bed I would listen to touhou music and browse touhou pictures/videos. Guess what, 0 dreams containing Touhou. Even repeating the same cycle day after day, it didn't spawn one single dream.

I remember when I was at the peak of my DotA addiction and I'd have dreams about playing the actual game.  :ohdear:
This seems to somehow influence more on dreams. I had in the times when I played Lineage / D2 similar dreams. But then that is also extremely odd.

I'll strengthen your experiences with my own. I listen to Touhou music for hours every single day (my music player's full of it. Yes, the original scores), often while visualising danmaku patterns along with them, and I haven't had a Touhou dream in a long, long time.

Strange stuff, them dreams.

Oh I did had a few touhou dreams (think 6). But they appeared months after my experiment. And they are not frequent but extremely rare. Best one to note was dreaming both Samuel L Jackson and Yukari being in my dream. That was also the first one.

I still suspect it is the age that does it. Younger people tend to get more fantasy dreams than older ones.

The whateverpartofyourbrainthatcontrols dream recall is like a muscle, it gets stronger the more you use it and vice versa. If you've gone say 10 years longer without ever working on it, you're likely to remember less dreams. You can still 'train' it again, it's just harder the longer you ignore it. I've done so since maybe my last or second to last post, gotta work on it again too. I miss my Touhou dreams, even the blurry and/or disturbing ones.

Remember you dream several times every night, assuming you get enough sleep. But, your brain usually erases/forgets them within a minute of you waking up or so. If you actually want to remember them try googling 'dream recall'.
I want to post another story but I don't have any left.. =X *Goes to sleep 2 hours early*

Actually, I can remember 80% of my dreams I am having. Even up till this day. That isn't the problem.

And those so called theories of "the more you use, the more you get used to" I also tried. Does not work. Lucid dreaming is extremely rare and difficult.

Wait, training yourself to lucid dream or training dream recall? Completely different things... There is nothing you can "Use more&Get used to" to have lucid dreams but LDs themselves. There are plenty of other methods though, they just require a little more effort than dream recall does. Things like setting a habit of checking something during the day to do it during a dream.. Not really going to happen for me. The best results are from getting something to wake you up in the middle of the night. Gotta fall asleep with certain parts of your brain still active or something. I'm no Wikipedia, google it again.. Lol.

Also, don't forget how lucky you are to remember "80%" of your dreams. Some people actively try and get... <5%.
