(Well, looks like we're going for distraction idea # 4, then.)
>"Well... long ago, when that lazy shrine maiden still had purple hair, and in a whole different Gensokyo with people who i bet you've never seen or heard of... Two interlopers busted into the dream world. They were the shrine maiden, and her partner in crime, the black-white magician. Except back then, she wore purple. Odd, because i've heard that those 2 were originally enemies. Being the guardian of the Dream Gate and all, i couldn't just let them by. So we fought. This was before the spellcard rules came into effect, so i could have been badly hurt. As it is, though, i'd just gone through a torture session with my boss, so i was weakened. Reimu beat the tar out of me, along with Marisa. Then, they headed into the gate to my boss's place. They also woke her up. She was not happy. Having just got out of bed and all, she wasn't at full power, or she could have turned them into grease stains on her walls. Instead, they gave her a pretty solid thrashing... TWICE. Not cool. On the way out though, something happened, and they ran into these two demons in another Dreamworld. Their names were Mugetsu and Gengetsu. Gengetsu seems half insane. She got them kicked off the moon because of her abilities to destroy things, and then create them anew in however it suits her. Bottom line is, they were sort of an unexpected fight, and the hardest one the shrine maiden had faced during that incident. And yeah, THEY'RE coming to Gensokyo."
>During this, try and pickpocket Aya's camera.
[It would be outside Aya's character to not want to follow up on a scoop! Mentioning a story is going to get her interested.]
> You hear Aya furiously jotting in her notebook, and use the chance to try and get her camera as she does so.
> However, Aya's keen eyes note your movement, and, in a flash, a gale-wind blows around Aya as she does a pirrouette and jumps a few feet back. Aya is now holding a maple-leaf like fan in one hand.
> "Or maybe the attempted theft of my camera can take the front page?" she says. "Crows have good eyesight, and I wasn't kidding when I said I'm the fastest in Gensokyo. Even if I didn't notice you moving, I'd notice the camera shifting and react before you could move it a centimeter."
> Aya folds her arms. "Let's put it this way, they say that the half-ghost can cover 200 Yojana in the time it takes for her to slash once, and I've seen it with my own eyes. To do that in the time of a slash would mean she would reach speeds like this..."
> Aya claps her fan and notebook together.
> "Seventy times faster than that sound took to reach your ears. Put simply, my top speed is more than seventy times faster than sound moves. I could drop you dead before you even heard me step off the ground I'm on now if I wanted to."
> The crow smiles sweetly. "So let's not try to steal from someone who is myriads times faster than you can even comprehend."
[In theory, Aya is potentially one of the scariest characters there are. Especially since Force is linked to Velocity, so even if her actual strength isn't much, if she's moving at Byond Hypersonic speeds it
doesn't matter. Makes you wonder if Youmu's swords are special or if it's the speed Youmu moves that makes the things she cannot cut so few.]
