>Flandre tries to kyuu one of the spiders, but turns it into a giant snake instead. "Stupid quantum geography..." she mutters to herself, then takes out Laevateinn and starts slashing spiders while Remilia spears them with Gungnir.
>Koakuma decides that her help is needed back with Patchouli urgently, and hurries out of the spiders' attacking range to consult the map pieces that Chiri gave to her.
>"All right, which door is closest to the place that Chiri is hiding in? It would make reconfiguring easier." Patchouli asks her familiar.
>"Well, from the look of things, I'm guessing she's hiding in the chamber of fire traps, judging by how many other traps we would have to pass through to reach the deactivation switch. The nearest door to that is the one at the end of this big ol' corridor of spiders."
>Sakuya appears next to them. "Chiri is getting better at making deathtraps," she observes. "These ones aren't as easily broken through."
>Meiling laughs. "You gotta tell me the full story when you have time, Sakuya. It sounds like quite the interesting tale. However, shouldn't we be helping the mistresses right now?"
>Patchouli looks through the doorway and sees that Remilia and Flandre are halfway through the corridor. "I'd say they're doing fine by themselves, but I guess help would always be welcomed."

>Mystia stares. "I can honestly say that I didn't expect that."
>"I'm sure none of us did," Wriggle agrees.
>Cirno is now free from the cage of swords, and decides to pull out her signature card.
>She announces it right next to Gilgamesh, who is stunned by the laser that shot through him moments earlier. "Freeze Sign 'Perfect Freeze'!"
>Daiyousei whistles. "She really did improve that card. Apparently, it works as a close-range attack now, too."
>Cirno stands victorious on top of a block of ice containing Gilgamesh. "I am the strongest!" she announces with finality.
>"Well, I have to admit that was an interesting battle," Reimu remarks from behind the audience, startling everyone. "Don't get too full of yourself, Cirno. Before Marisa interfered, that other person...thing...monster...whatever had the upper hand."
>Reimu pulls out a Yin Yang orb and speaks to it. "Yukari, I found the outsider. Now please gap ...it back to where it belongs before it breaks out of the ice and starts challenging someone more competent."
>"Wait!" Cirno interrupts. "I need to gloat about my success to him! I'm the strongest!"
>Reimu sighs, and sticks a sealing charm on Cirno's forehead to quiet the energetic ice fairy down. "Yes, yes. You're the strongest of the fairies. Good battle, and all that. Still, this weirdo has to go back to where it belongs."
>A gap opens up under the Gilgamesh ice cube, and it falls back into the Final Fantasy universe.

>Patchouli walks up to the door. "All right, everyone stand back. I'm going to get us to that irritating youkai now."
>She invokes a magic spell, and the door glows briefly.
>Patchouli turns to Remilia. "Care to do the honors?"
>Remilia smiles viciously. "Of course." She rips the doors off the hinges and Chiri turns around to the source of the noise.
>Upon seeing the vampires, Chiri gulps. "Say, how about I surrender and fix the castle completely, and you guys don't hurt me at all? That way, everyone is happy, right?"

>Meiling looks at Patchouli as if the answer was obvious. "You never know when someone would want to play a game of Mahjong! Granted, it isn't nearly as popular here as it was in China, but still!"
>Patchouli shakes her head. "Honestly, Meiling, sometimes your logic is impossible to figure out."

>Sakuya - "Snake Jerky.....Snake Jerky....Eeeeugh......."

>Meiling deflects any tiles that fly towards her, and Patchouli has put up a magic shield. "I am sure that this is not how you're supposed to play Mahjong!" Patchouli yells.
>"I got you with a bamboo tile!" Remilia cheers. "5 points!"

>Remilia turns to Koakuma. "Really? But this way's more fun!" She grabs another tile, and throws it at Koakuma, who is too startled to dodge.

>Meiling intervenes to bail Koakuma out. "But I'm holding the red dragon tile! I declare that all duel challenges are called off!"

Life in Gensokyo is just one giant game of Calvinball. Quantum geography just makes it worse.
In which all rules are simultaneously called off, reinstated, and broken. Not necessarily in that order.

>Patchouli scoots over to make room. "At the very least, they seem to be having fun."
>A tile bounces off the shield, and hits Koakuma on the back of her head.
>"Headshot!" Chiri calls out. "You two swap point totals!"
>Meiling catches the tile. "No, it was an east tile. House rules state that you have to spin around counterclockwise three times for calling an incorrect penalty!"
>While Meiling is distracted, Flandre lands a hit. "Season tile! All penalties are flipped!"
>"But it was the summer tile," Remilia interjects, "So it's gotta be flipped vertically!"

>Patchouli - "Well, at least they know how to provide a good show."
>Koa - "Bweeeh..."

>Chiri sighs, and starts attempting to spin counterclockwise and upside down.
>Patchouli shakes her head. "None of you actually know how to play Mahjong, do you?"
>"Hey!" Meiling shouts, "I know how to play! We just declared house rules."
>Koakuma frowns. "What are the house rules?"
>Flandre shrugs. "I dunno, but they're way more fun!"

>Chiri finally does the three counterclockwise spins successfully, and falls back down onto the ground.

>Patchouli shakes her head. "If you four would stop horsing around, I would like to remind you that our castle is now habitable. And it looks like Sakuya is recovering."
>Remilia and Flandre stop pelting Koakuma and Meiling stops mid-throw.
>Sakuya is standing up, and looking like she's almost back to normal.

>The end result is one dazed, but intact and uninjured Koakuma where the library was.

>Chiri shrugs. "Well, Flandre did ask. Just to clarify, we're all friends, right? None of you are going to cause major bodily harm?"

>Back in Castle Scarlet, Patchouli coughs at a bad time, interrupting the spell, which starts shooting pair after pair of footwear through the hole the flaming rainbow carved.
>Chiri feels like her luck is about to get worse. She takes this a a cue to hightail it to wherever Hina is.
>Come to think of it, she realizes, I don't even know where Hina would be. I'll have to upgrade my map dress some time soon to help with locations of people.
