So I'm told that Athena can do Trifruits. Seems fair enough, but I'm also told that I'm supposed to stall for skills on the Tamadra. How do I do that? Once he hits me once aren't I basically trapped there forever? Or at least, for an arbitrarily large amount of time until he gets the 20% chance normal attack a shitload of times in a row.  As far as I know I'm not supposed to bring any special de-bind stuff. Is there something I'm missing?

You don't need special de-bind stuff. What you *want* is fast light orb changers. If you have a skillmax Valk and Verche you should-- should!-- be fine.

My problem was that I never did, so I died a lot. But it is doable.

Here's the strategy I used:
Athena/Verche/Apollo/Izanagi/Odin/Athena

Floor 1: A single light TPA will take out the seeds but leave the fruit alive. Based on the skill boosts you have, you may want to stall killing the fruit (it's always on a 3 turn counter). If you don't have any light or dark (which happened to me SO MANY TIMES), you are fucked. Valk would solve this problem and you could safely just do two TPA from the get-go to wipe them all out.

Floor 2: A single TPA should wreck them all.

Floor 3: Two TPAs should be enough, but I always went all-out. Unload as much light as possible to kill the flower and the fruit WITHOUT KILLING THE TAMA. I did this once. Bad time. The flower and fruit always have a 3cd timer, so you DO have the option of stalling a turn if you're psyched out by the -1 second from the fruit, but don't do that, because the Tama could bind one of the Athenas and you WILL take a million+ damage to the face. Once they're dead, slowly set up your board. ***If you need to, you can move one orb without matching and the bind timers will go down! Kill the tama when you either are bind-free or are at 1 turn left!*** What I did was try to get dark, light, and hearts (with none of the same touching) arranged something like this:

where 'x' can be anything BUT hearts, light, or dark. Do this one orb movement at a time if you want. Just do your best to not hurt the tama until you have that arrangement. Then take the baby down to the point where one more hit will kill it. Try to leave some hearts/light/dark at the top for changing.

Then for Trifruits, convert your hearts and dark to light. I do this all in one swoop with Apollo. Do this:

for four TPA hits. Enhance the orbs with Athena and boost with Izanagi. That SHOULD be enough to wipe them all out.


A safer strategy though would also be (and better if you don't have Izanagi):

Set your board up like this:

This way you have easier matching at the top.  Make sure you have extra light or heart or dark at the top when you kill the Tama.

That way, when you fight trifruits, you can do something like this:

Enhance with Athena (and Izanagi if you have him). This should also reliably take everything out, maybe with a little left, especially the green fruit. Don't worry, you always have two turns. Use Valk or Verche afterward if you have them available and TPA down the rest. Make sure to use your second Athena enhance here.

It's hard and not always reliable, but it does work. I spent all of last Thursday working this strategy out.


BUT!

Now that I have Hanzo maxed and Ronia online, I have made for myself a foolproof Trifruit killer team:

Pandora/Skillmax Hanzo/Skillmax Vamp/Ronia/DMeta/Hypermax Pandora Friend

Floor 1: 16x from Vamp or Hanzo clears it all.
Floor 2: 9x or 16x from Vamp or Hanzo is fine.
Floor 3: Pandora wipes the flower and fruit out. Stall until Ronia is up.
Floor 4: Ronia+Hanzo+DMeta = fully enhanced dark board. It's an OHKO on all fruits.

So now I can farm Trifruits reliably (and will be able to moreso if I can hopefully skillmax my Pandora with Badpy in upcoming weeks).

Tried dragon fruits twice, once with Big Dog and once with Chirei's Athena. Died both times in precisely the same place and way. Basically two turns if burst on the fruits left the yellow one at a tiny sliver both times. I attribute this to Valkyrie not being mega evolved and me being bad at two-prongs and seven-stars still. Not a problem, I can definitely do it in the future. Was educational.

That is exactly what my goal is. Unfortunately my foolproof method is not flawless because of my own dumb mistakes. Sigh.

Only fruit I got so far today is green. Trifruit can get fucked for how much stamina it costs for a stupid-ass 1/3 chance.

I kinda just do this but then again I don't athena so I guess I would get maybe 20% more damage from having another Purin's row

also that red trifruit skilled up my Ronia by a level so thanks commandercool for getting me to run this

I kind of like the idea of working Strawberry Dragon in there too, mostly for the skillboosts.

For the first setup, I think I'd rather put a huge statstick with dark than Lilith tbh.
Your main damage output after you use SQ and valk would be light TPAs anyways, and the dark sub will still get the 25x from LKali normally.
So it seems too much of a trade-off to keep the team 100% healers when Lilith has such poor stats and situational active.
DIzanami will get skillups from Dark Don Dragon soon and has huge hp which is what the team lacks, sounds like a good fit imo. (and she's non-REM! her descended maaay be a bit tough though.)

For the second setup, I'm not sure about Durga. An enhance seems necessary without Fuma, but your damage won't be spectacular without Athena, I'd really want to fit Athena in somehow but I'm not sure what to take out.

Why not Durga over Lilith? Everyone on the "healer" team is a God type as well so they all benefit from Durga's boost as well even if she misses out on a tiny bit of healer boost.

Yomi would also be good because time up galore or chibi luci rofl

Three LKalis already give you an extra of 1.5s though.
The thing with Durga is since you have SQ, you're more likely not to use her as the final kill so the 1hp thing might actually hurt...? I also doubt you need another enhance for most stuff, I mean Kirin teams can do without enhances as a 25x team, and LKali is a 25x team with double TPA on like half the team (effectively over 50x)
but yea, just keep in mind that izanami is always an option if you notice that a -35% would help you survive a big hit from something which would trivialize it.

Effectively 27151 HP and  3511+1000 autoheal recovery (higher against dark enemies) with x25/x50+/x100+ attack before +eggs or any ultimate evolutions (not one ultimate on the whole team) is pretty badass. Throw in significant status resistance and it's lookin' sharp.

It's not out even in JP yet but yamamoto said somewhere the Dark Don Dragon boss itself (Don dragons are the biweekly dragon series after insects) will be skillups for DIza.
So it shouldn't be too hard. If you can do myth then it's 50/stam per dragon and no need to evolve.
The dungeon itself is surprisingly annoying though, despite it being tricolour, as the high def high damage shrimps from takaoka makes an appearance, which can screw you over if you're unlucky.

Badass. After getting a truckload of skillups on my Cleopatra while working on Sun Quan, I know how easily 50 stamina for one evolved boss skillups go. This is totally doable. Assuming I can handle the dungeon consistently, but I'll work something out. I'll have plenty of time.

Also, fair warning: Don't put dinner in the oven, buy an alt dungeon, then forget about it and eat and then remember you bought it right before it expires. :wat: Or forget about your dinner I guess. DON'T MIX ALT DUNGEONS AND DINNER IT'S BAD.

Fucking christ, I just died in exactly the same place and way on dragon fruits again. Yellow fruit, alive at less than 5% HP. It was again mostly my fault, since I forgot to activate GZL on my first turn when I did my biggest burst. That's frustrating. GZL's giant head makes it hard to see if his active has been used or not. Oh well.

It's not even Echidna anymore, it's the original Bikkuriman character Head Rococo. The uvo Echidna Rococo has a better LS though.
