Tried to do it ARF's way a couple times, got a little frustrated with Kagerou's movements. This is a safer, but less scoring strategy that I had tried before watching. Could be better.

Some improvements in the strategy, figured I'd be sneaky and wait for someone to beat my first submission, but I better post it now before I forget about it.

For other people wanting to catch up: using the fabric with the lantern as sub makes for some pretty easy (read: not luck reliant) 9.7 million scores, as the deathbomb windows allows you to always safely double hide through 3 cycles of the blue stuff.

Think I'll stop beating myself over EoSD Lunatic and just wrap it up with an Extra run. More likely to improve this, if I submit anything else.

Perfected Flandre on a relearn-the-spells run where I'd died several times in the stage portion. I tried several more runs and didn't come close to perfecting Flandre again (or even clearing with 0-1 deaths), so I guess I'll post this.

...no time for me to learn/relearn a difficulty at this point though. I'm too used to Easy.

It does get rather annoying how, like in MoF, an accidental death ruins your score (well on Easy/Normal/Extra at least).

Alright, here's a bunch of last-minute (well, last-hour) entries from me:

Subterranean Scoring - Normal
SomeGuy712x - 575,687,240 - C - ReimuA - 0.000% - Replay

The first death I had in stage 4 was unintentional, and I would've restarted due to that if I wasn't already annoyed from numerous other restarts due to stupid mistakes I kept making in the first three stages. But, I decided to keep going, and ended up with a perhaps halfway-decent score, maybe.
---
Survival - Normal
SomeGuy712x - 131,995,100 - C - 2 - 5 - MarisaA - 0.344% - Replay - Screenshot

Deaths were to Patchy and Sakuya. I'm really annoyed by that Patchy death, since the I thought the bullet that hit me was gonna miss me, and I had five bombs in stock at the time, so I would've bombed if I was expecting to be hit.
---
Survival - Hard
SomeGuy712x - 164,739,520 - C - 5 - 15 - MarisaA - 0.327% - Replay - Screenshot

I had some lucky dodges against Meiling and Patchy, but stage 5 was kind of "ugh". However, I had a better-than-expected Remilia battle.
---
Survival - Extra
SomeGuy712x - 239,264,100 - C - 0 - 3 - MarisaA - 0.100% - Replay - Screenshot

Holy crackers! I'd given Extra a lot of attempts over the past few weeks, and on this run, I had pretty much all the luck, making it all the way to Flandre's final spell without dying or bombing! Now, I could've tried to capture it for a true perfect game, but I've only rarely captured it in the past, and I was super nervous since that was the first time I'd ever gotten to that point without dying, so I spent my 3 bombs there to help me ensure that I'd get the no-death victory at least!
---
Quick Challenge
SomeGuy712x - 9,732,200 - Nimble Fabric/Ghastly Lantern - 0.0% - Replay

I couldn't get the Fabric/Mallet combo to work for me without always dying to either bad luck or mispositioning myself, so I'm settling for this.

New challenges are up, with a few quirks this month! A hidden challenge is active: a x2 modifier is up for grabs if you complete the challenge! The modifier is added after the difficulty modifier is added. The challenge will only be revealed at the end of the month if someone completes it. More than one person can complete this month's challenge. The following challenges are eligible:
Survival Challenge

Thanks for the participation last week and here's to another successful week!

If you notice any mistakes in my formatting or anything, always be sure to point it out. I'm half with it!

EDIT: SomeGuy712x, you're eligible for both badges. Which would you like?

Whoa, I wasn't expecting to shoot out into first place like that! Umm... I wonder if that's accurate, actually... Shimatoma, can you maybe show everyone's previous point totals, and what everyone's final rankings in the previous round's challenges were?

Edit: Oh, wait. The rankings are shown in the Touhou Tournament Archive thread within High Score Entry. Still, how did I end up with 50 points?

Another edit: Okay, looking at the rankings for both months, I only participated in the Quick Challenge for month 1, placing 4th out of 7, which is worth 8 points, right? Then for month 2, first my points are cut in half down to 4, and then I think I gained 4 from Scoring Normal, 18 from the Quick Challenge, 1 from Survival Easy, 4 from Survival Normal, 3 from Survival Hard, and 12 from Survival Extra.

So, 4+4+18+1+4+3+12=46, which is what I think I should have. Did you forget to halve my 8 points before adding in the 42 I gained from month 2?

Anyway, I think I'll take the Survivalist Badge, since I'm most happy with my no-death Extra run there.

I'll check it. I am feeling quite out of it so, would probably be best.

Got 45 this time around. 39 from this month and 6 from last month. Maybe I should work on putting everything into a spreadsheet so I don't accidentally add extra numbers in. w

@Shimatora:
"6 from last month"? But the Quick Challenge was worth 2x everybody below me (including myself), and there were three people below me, and if I include myself, that's 4 people, and 4x2=8. Also, don't forget to cut my first month's points in half before adding my second month's points. (Yeah, making a spreadsheet to keep all the numbers organized would be a good idea.)

Anyway, I just made an edit to my previous post that you might not've seen, where I calculate that I should have 46 points right now, and assuming I'm still in first place, I'll take the Survivalist Badge, since I'm most happy with my no-death Extra run there.

Huh, I thought I did that. Let me just recalculate it all.

EDIT: Okay I recognised my mistake. I did x3 for the quick challenge points first month. Oops!
Double EDIT: Going to do that spreadsheet. Might take a little bit as I work things out but should be done by the end of the month.
