I made up this character a while ago. Now that I found this thread i thought it would be a good idea to just post it.
Name: Namari F. Faia (Namari means something along the lines of leading or guiding and "F. Faia" is nothing more than a transcript of fen-fire)
They just combined their names to take on this one.
Title: Straying twin lights
Species: Grudge Spirit / Evil Spirit
Two spirits each possessed an object similar to each other but were too weak on their own to accomplish anything greater. Because of similar motives they joined to form a stable body that they now inhabit together. Depending on what they're up to one of the two "takes control" while the other one goes sort of passive.
Occupation: Leading People astray to enjoy their suffering (She sustains herself from that. Kinda like Kogasa does with surprising people)
Ability: Taking away peoples sense of direction, some sort of control over fire (has to do with the lantern) and the ability to collect souls and manipulate these.
When they spot a proper victim they start by stealing its directional sense and watching from afar how it gets lost more and more, not even knowing about it.
When their victim realises it lost its way they come out, pretending to know about the area and offering help to get to where the person wants while actually doing the opposite until they are satisfied from the fear and negative feelings, either just leaving the victim on its own or taking its soul. Fen especially likes to tell made up scary stories about the area while doing this.
She does not need to that too often since she can survive for a rather long time without "food" but depending on her mood she just does it for fun or out of boredom.
She could also technically just pop up out of nowhere and attack her victim with either fire or her collected souls, instilling a form of terror and fear. But while that is a quicker process it is not as efficient for her.
You could say, that she is somewhat sadistic.
Age: Their combined person started existing not too long ago. Each on their own they roamed Gensokyo for a while after they died and could not move on because of lingering grudges.
Appearance:

Depending on which personality takes control one of the two lanterns is put onto the pole:
-Namari (the eastern, Japanese spirit) possessed a Japanese style lantern before they met and is active if it is bound to the rod. She is the one that can create actual fire and control it.
- Fen (the western, european spirit) took over a british, Victorian style lantern she found at the Sanzu River. She collects souls of unfortunate victims with whom they went as far as to murder it and can order them around.
You can easily identify which one is active by the lantern but also the colour of their eyes inverts when they switch.
Personality: Both were murder victims and did not take that lightly since they were rather young and had their whole lives still ahead of them. This caused each of them to become bound to the realm of the living, unable to pass on.
Because of this they are both rather malicious but I guess that also comes with their occupation. As long as she is sated you can somewhat safely approach her.
She is not actually evil or senselessly violent but merely acts the way she has to sustain her existence. They both know that they are bound because of their lingering attachments but don't blame other people for it since they don't exactly know what it is that is preventing them from moving on.
Namari is more direct and straightforward in how she does things. She is also very honest and straightforward with words.
Fen is somewhat laid back and enjoys watching their victim after they are done with it. She'd rather avoid direct combat and is generally more reasonable than Namari.
While Namari can act rather rashly when it comes to the question of leaving the victim lost or consuming it Fen is more calm and collected and holds her back to keep a low profile. This does not mean that she is less dangerous when they are on the hunt or threatened. In the end they both agree with each other most of the time and make the most out of their specialties to accomplish their goals.
Location: Wandering. But most of the time she is in the vicinity of the entrance to the underground.
She absolutely does not like the Bamboo Forest since she thinks it is a cheap way of doing what she does and it hurts her pride as a professional.
Relationships:
- Rumia: They sometimes meet each other while wandering around and chat.
- Parsee: She likes goes underground to meet up with her and talk about life and stuff and how everybody is just a jerk.
- Tewi: Thinks what she does is cheap. Namari also laid a small fire at the edges of the Forest once.
- your run-of-the-mill human should avoid her since they are potential victims. If you are obviously stronger than her she will leave you in peace.
