>Kasen does not stop her chanting or her jogging in place, but she does incline her head a little. The slim woman looks toward you curiously.

> "VIVIT and I need to leave to take care of the main obstacle to our going home. If you can hold tight here for a little longer, some other friends will be here later to pick you up. A red-haired woman and a blonde woman."

>Kasen does not cease her chanting, but she returns her head to its previous inclination.

>Ruukoto nods.  Then she says something in the native language. The doctors look between each other, then the bulky one asks a question. Ruukoto gives an answer which causes the three to look between themselves, before the slim one goes to the cabinet, opens it, and removes a large clear bottle made of a material other than glass. She places on the table near Ruukoto, who walks over to it and takes it. Removing the top, she takes her seized weapon in hand, pulls out a squarish part on the front, then dumps the liquor down the front of the weapon, then some inside where the square part was attached. With this done, she drops the weapon the floor and repeats the process with the other one. After that, she reaches into an apron pocket and produces two small L-shaped metallic things that resemble the weapons in general design, and douses them in the liquid as well, before dropped the two parts she removed into the bottle.
>"Okay, that's dealt with," says Ruukoto. "If anyone tries to use those, they'll probably catch on fire or blow up."

>"Okay," says Ruukoto.

>You floar back over to the chair, but the translator back on, and remove yourself from your bucket. Frankly, you'd rather wade waist deep into an oni midden than leave the bucket, the feeling it just gut-wrenching. You settle back into the seat, feeling perfectly miserable for it. It takes some effort not to stare at the bucket forlornly.

>"Do you really think you're going to get away with any of this?" the tall woman says, oblivious to a look being shot at her by the bulky woman.

>The tall woman doesn't seem to have anything to say to that. She frowns and raises and eyebrow, more in disbelief than curiosity you think.

> "Even assuming you weren't just waiting until later to do that, you've kept her sedated from the time she arrived until just a few minutes ago because you assumed she'd go crazy and hurt herself or others when she woke up. This despite studying her and concluding she's intelligent. That doesn't seem very respectful of her as a person to me."

>"We're not exactly equipped to restrain hostile aliens, you know," says the tall woman, crossing her arms. "And given the circumstances in which she came to us, we didn't exactly have a lot of choice in regards to our safety."
