I'm probably not going to enter this, not because I can't add my pretty effects (I'd just do it with bullets instead anyway, since they're already add-blended), but just because it's too loose. The one contest I entered was just because I got a good idea for it that I wouldn't have been able to use for my main project, which isn't the case here. I look forward to everyone's entries, though.

I was going to make sprites for the contest, but the garbage bullet sheet took me long enough so I decided to just rip some. I'll think ahead more next contest (if we ever do something like this again), so we won't have to use them, hopefully.

You mean the 2 second nonspell that doesn't really do anything? Why would you want to do that? (And why did ZUN include that anyway?)

Also, I believe I have an idea for my script (beyond what I mentioned on IRC), but lol hueg filesizes. I hope no one minds.

It's supposed to be a fake out nonspell, basically Alice saying "okay another nonsp- SPELLCARD TIME"

Anyways since I don't think it's to anyone's advantage for everyone to end up doing the same boss, I'm probably doing Shizuha and Aki as a dual boss. Hopefully not too many people will do the same thing :V

Of course. What you do with the graphics is entirely up to you. Heck, I'm kinda expecting people to use select portions of some graphics for sparkly effects or something...

It's considered bad taste to force micrododging of closely grouped additive blend bullets. Making them blend to create walls or other forms of macrodanmaku is fine though. If you offer an opportunity to dodge while the bullets are more easily readable, that can also work (cluster of add bullets, seemingly impossible to dodge until half of them suddenly go back towards the boss for example).

Dialogue will not be judged in any way (on my part anyway). Please do not write a novel.

This is primarily so that Stuffman doesn't gain a gross advantage.

Viola!!! (This actually took me kinda long to make >_>)

Probably not yet my final release for the contest, but this is it so far... Might as well post it already since I may not work on it until near the end of the contest... and if anyone wants to give pre-due date feedback so I can improve it before the contest ends :derp:

Koishi got to you and has sent you to your conscience. Here, she is trying to make you feel sorry for those stage 1 enemies that are always so weak (danmaku-wise). You have to bring down the 5 people she's materialized one by one before being able to get out of your conscience.

1 nonspell that's split into 5 parts (how it's split depends on how you play the script, please don't disqualify me for trying this out)
3 spell cards

Some parts of the script may not be balanced (either too easy or too hard). Try finishing the script before rage-quitting on the first nonspell :V

Also, can anyone tell me if the background goes crazy or turn black when spell cards are casted? Cause it does here (but I know my graphics card's crap), and I can't find a single reason for it to do that.

Hope I didn't forget anything...

EDIT: I knew I forgot something...
The spell cards lag quite a bit (I get around 30-40fps), which is weird cause they worked at 60fps on single play... oh well... Let's just say the bullets are slowed down a bit :derp: (DON'T TAKE IT AGAINST ME >.< THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I MADE SOMETHING THAT LAGS LIKE THAT!!!)

EDIT again:
Just a little something... You have to play the script AT THE LEAST 5 times in order to see everything that's coded in there :V (kill them in different orders)

You get -5 points by default if you fill the screen with white or something equally annoying.

And curvy lasers count as annoying I guess...
But it is unbalanced entry, you're right
and it's a bit....strange....and Minoriko's card looked pretty familiar...Benevolent French Fries ?

Good job on the non-spells, it was a good idea to split them like this.

Aw well. Gonna put in something else for the BGM 'cause I don't want to release the shit music I almost ended up composing for Minoriko.

EDIT: Have a half-assed script for MInoriko. Didn't put much effort into this one as you can see.

Bullet 57 is not what it is supposed to be. Instead, it's graphic rect is a duplicate of that of bullet 54, only with one of the edges cropped by one pixel, which means borked.
Its graphic rect is: (191, 33, 223, 64)
It should be: (191, 66, 223, 97)

Hey Naut,
Those things are 32 pixels in height, right? So shouldn't the rect be (191, 66, 223, 98)?
Same thing for bullets 56 and 58.

Compare original rect on the left side, fixed rect on the right side. :X

and, will I get disqualified if I don't upload the c6 folder myself but using relative directories and require the downloader to just put the c6 folder inside themselves? Can you just count this as a way to prove I haven't tempered with the images? because I feel quite uneasy uploading ZUN graphics. :x I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.
