Not to mention that lots of rock types can learn ground type moves, or are part ground type themselves, which an electric type like Shinx will be weak to and almost ineffective against... I mean, if you're confident Floe is strong enough, then I think you should be fine going through the entire gym with just her, but if you aren't, then I recommend catching a grass, water, or fighting type, since rock types are weak to them, and you'll have something to switch to if Floe ends up being knocked out. If I recall correctly, you can catch a Machop, a common fighting type, in the small valley just north of Oreburgh, and if you're still near Jubilife, then there are some grass types on route 204, just north of the city."
