Still going to be screwing up the recharges and stuff, but I'll definitely be thankful for the slowdown in death modes.

Scoring question, even if it won't really matter much due to probably messing up. In the original Deathsmiles, are you supposed to start not using power up mode as you select level 3 the fifth time or once you start the extra stage? I know that was one of the huge risk/reward things involving scoring, while you wanted to get powerups and the recharges on earlier stages. Not that I'll expect to hit the recharges outside of MBL 1.1 where it's a joke to get them.

The high scoring videos I've seen are either basically, with the last power-up being either on stage 5 or on stage 6, but given that you need lots of suicide bullets and to no-miss until the end of the game for that to be worth it (and the Canyon itself doesn't yield that many points), well... Recharging and mastering skull leeching and splitting are a lot more important I believe, but very few people have broken 300 million even on the Japanese leaderboards, so :ohdear:

Crimzon Clover's Diabolos is so fucking epic (partly thanks to the music). I have so much fun fighting this boss over and over. :V

On the blog entry (at least before the read more bit) it says:

Gave a shot at Crimzon Clover now with v1.01 released. God I'm rusty. Still got to Crimson Heart, but lost so many lives in a stupid fashion. But now with replay capabilities! Too bad the file sizes make them infeasible for attachments... And it seems actually recording these uses up noticeably more resources by itself, so yay for my runs being even less legit than they were before.

Nothing against the game of course, this is all problems on my end.

Hm, how can I rebind? I have a keyboard only you see. Only keys working are the directional keys. So, I cannot even enter the key-config.
