Canyon IS the full TM2
No it isn't, they'll be releasing the other envinronments later on, and when I was reading the forums someone mentioned having to buy each envinronment.
Not sure about that last bit though.

They'll be releasing Valley and <environment name here> later, for the same price, as well as ShootMania and QuestMania.

That is rather expensive for stuff, that could and should be considered DLC. Dammit, Ubisoft.

Could say the same for Modern Warfare series, Street fighter 4 and its expansions, etc.

Ubisoft has nothing to do with it. This is all NADEO's doing. It doesn't even use Ubi's bullshit DRM.

I'm not quite sure how this is going to work, as Nadeo hasn't really announced all that much, but from what I understand, they're doing this so they can basically make a game with as many environments as they want, higher detailed and with more overall content, releasing a new one around every 6 months or so and adding onto the older ones instead of releasing a totally new game every couple years.

This is not DLC. Any of the environments can be bought as standalone, i.e. you can buy Valley without having to own Canyon or any of the others they come up with. Also, if you're like me and bought Original, Sunrise and United, and they make 6 environments for this game, you'd be paying the exact same amount for quite a bit more content and be playing just as long. Not to mention the massive community behind this who makes maps like no tomorrow, and is still making custom content for a game that was originally released 7 years ago.

Okay, just got done with a 3-hour long session of the retail version. Holy cow, once you get the hang of drifting, this game is the business! Also, the video crash bug I've been having no longer seems to be a problem, though I did still crash when loading a track once.

A08 in solo mode is  :barf:

Look for Odda C. (oddboy) in game. I'll be playing around with the editor later. Maybe.

Okay, scratch what I said earlier; this game is still getting off on crashing on me and its not the video crashes from earlier, these are full blown straight up crashes. Sigh. :[

I will murder thin roads in their sleep. If they don't kill me first.

So far I absolutely hate the C tracks.

I tried Trackmania some time back, but I've always prefered LFS, personally.

The free servers on LFS got comical when they introduced a formula car alongside the beginners ones. Just sucks they took the turbo beginners car out in exchange, which was pretty fun to drive.

How exactly can you compare a full arcade game and a full simulation game? >>

I mean I like both, but that just seems kinda silly.

well, it doesn't mean you can't have a preference of one over the other. They're still both driving games, as well.

I admit the two are indeed different things really, but I'm just saying which I prefer. I love the mouse steering option for people without a wheel, as it allows a good ammount of precision once you tweak the settings enough.

Eh? personally I thought it works quite well if A) your mouse doesn't suck and B) you aren't using a touchpad (those suck) oh and C) set a custom view on LFS to display steering gauge, and to transparent the car from inside view showing the wheels. lets you know exactly whats going on visually, so its pretty easy like that.

Keyboard on LFS is bloody horrid lol
