With that decided, the rest of the process runs rather smoothly. You are each given a small portion of Play-Duralim, about the same amount that was used to create the big metal cube now littering the middle of the floor. With that, you are escorted out of the R&D facility and back down to the Red-Clearance area, where you given paperwork to fill out for the experimental equipment. The forms are fairly straight-forward, stating that you take responsibility for the care and maintenance of the valuable equipment, as well as financial responsibility should something happen to them. Of course, when you are paid 1000 credits a month, and your living expenses as mandated by Friend Computer are 1000 credits a month, this can be troublesome, especially when these items are all valued over 1 million credits.
Oddly related to that, as you leave the R&D facility, you hear a tinny buzz, as the monitors along the wall suddenly light up with the words, "Congratulations!" as graphics of streamers and confetti fill the background. Then you hear a voice you know well, that of Friend Computer itself!
Congratulations, citizens! You are the 81st group to visit Research and Development K413! 10,000 credits are deposited into your accounts now. Please make use of them in fun, loyal, completely Kovar-free ways!
Thought of the Day: Treason grows from idleness."
Then everything falls quiet again, and save for the applause of the secretary, which quickly follows. Stepping outside, the group finds itself engulfed and quickly separated by a mob of citizens chattering excitedly about getting to a live recording of "Zap that Mutie!" However, everyone knows where to go, so it should be no difficulty to gather there.
But being alone and seperated, and having two hours until it is time to depart, it's also quite easy for individual troubleshooters to slip off and visit particular individuals should they feel the need. Or, perhaps, they could visit the Infrared Market and quietly spend those newly-acquired credits on something to help out with the upcoming mission. Or some brave souls could try to visit the supply depot as well, in hopes of requisitioning equipment without cost.
(OOC: PM me what you are doing, I will PM what you find/get. When you are ready to continue, post yourself at Hanger 4FH, then we can start this for reals. Of note, anyone who does not post arriving there will be considered to have dropped the RP. There's a whole lotta people who are present on the forums and posting elsewhere, but simply not posting here.)
