Okay, trying this again *hopes that I didn't screw up like last time*

Ahem~
Nexon just released a new MMORPG, and it's pretty damn good. Great graphics, awesome attack moves, and it runs on Valve's source engine. (Used in Counter Strike, Team Fortress, etc.) I don't fully understand what this means, but I'm guessing that the engine allows the game to run more smoothly, physics are great, etc.

I notice that the graphics run pretty smooth on my computer (It's a laptop that isn't wholly designed for gaming, by the way.) and it's pretty stable and virtually free from bugs from this point.

It was just in Beta stage just a few weeks ago, and now it's been released here in North America. (In Korea, it's known as "Mabinogi Heroes")

It's pretty new, Nexon's still adding some stuff, so you can be excited about new features that they're going to release once they're ready.

Yes, the game has a plot, but don't expect too much, though. You pretty much fight...fight... and do stuff. There's a storyline to follow, but the game pretty much cuts to the chase and places the enemies in front of you.

I don't really play MMO's, but this one got me hooked. (It's pretty different from a traditional MMO, though) It also has preset settings for game controllers, and there's also a specific one for an XBOX 360 controller so you can just jump in and play.

- Complete quest which required me to beat the Gnoll Chieftain alone on Season of Macha
- Report to Kirstie
- "The program has encountered an unrecoverable error" right before getting anything
- Gets back on
- Didn't get any xp or gold for the sidequest
- Go speak to Kirstie again
- Kirstie starts giving another sideque- VINDICTUS LOADER HAS CRASHED, GAME SHUT DOWN

Very hesitant to try this after the tragedy that was DFO. Tell me, how goes the lag and experience gain?

I thought the game saved stuff as soon as you completed it?

The only time Vindictus crashed on me was when I ran it on a 1080p display, alt+tabbed, disconnected the display, (reverting to 1440x900 res) and switching back to vindcitus.

Lag is minimal even if you have a shitty 1.5 mbps connection. (Like me.)
Exp-wise, I'm not sure, since I don't play many MMO's, so I don't have much to compare it to. There's a few things that I don't like about this though, like armor being too heavy for your character, not having enough item item slots, requiring a certain level to use clothes. (Weapons and spells are understandable, but the rest doesn't make sense...)

That White Tyrant mission turns out to be much easier than I thought with 6 people in my party. Maybe that's because I play the healer and don't get hit often.

In the White Tyrant mission, since it's a Raid boss, you get 6 people in your party. I'm level 20.

So apparently Nexon KR and Europe also bans everything outside of their areas ? I thought the ban thing was only Nexon NA's BS.

I've been trying to connect to Vindictus over and over again and it always says "Authentication falied" or something like that. Nexon is probably forcing IP bans on Canadians, too. It's not Nexon NA, it's Nexon USA.
