I found this surprising as well. Didn't know "Love Colored Master Spark" went back that far. However, ZUN did mention SoEW in his comments on the theme.

Speaking of themes that took you back to the past, Reimu and Alice have both had PC-98 themes come into the Windows era. Marisa has the most: two. Her EX-theme in Great Fairy Wars originated from her EX-boss theme in Seihou.

I guess it's not really something that can translate perfectly into English. :L

四天王 (Shitennoh) translates as "four emperors", too. TVTropes has an entire page about this kind of grouping (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FourIsDeath).
Shitennoh is also the original naming for Golbez' four lords of the elements in FFIV. From Hyadain's fan masterpiece about them (http://youtu.be/C8vz186pjY0) other fans made a Touhou version with noone else than team-9 (http://youtu.be/DvO3l4zDOAw).

Somehow, it has escaped me that Gensokyou had their own official four emperors. Nice to know this.

Yuyuko freaks out if you get right next to her in her first non-spell. This is in Normal Mode and is not altered in any way. Kaguya does something similar in one of her non-spells, but I can't time it right to get a screenshot, sorry. (Possibly others do this, too? I've tested on a few other bosses and haven't found anything yet.) Amusingly, both of them are considered princesses, so it might have something to do with being improper and getting too close to them. Or they just don't like it.

If I'm not very late, Yoshika makes an anti shotgunning ring of bullets when you get too close to her during the first attack (the one where she summons 2 spirits at both sides, at least on normal)

Edit: also noticed that fairies on the eientei stage of PoFV also wear bunny ears. I remember reading somewhere here that IN's stage also had some of this :> Don't really remember if PoFV was mentioned, can't seem to find that post either OTL

A few Familiar using attacks are like this. Mainly Keine's (her nonspells) Though Wriggle has one I believe.
And the blue can hit you, move up a bit from the bottom and you'll see.
