Gee, it's even the same in Immaterial and Missing Power. Not like ZUN specifically said it was an arrangement or something....?
Suika and Yuugi are two of the four Oni Devas. At first I thought 'Deva' was an alternate or misspelling of 'Diva', since they're basically famous oni ladies of high esteem.I just discovered that 'Deva' is actually the Sanskrit word for 'deity' from Buddhism.Suika and Yuugi are Oni Goddesses.
I just noticed that Marisa's theme in Imperishable Night is the same as in Story of Eastern Wonderland.
I'd like to point out that "deva" used in this case is just a title of their superiority, and they aren't literal devas. The word used is 四天王, which can refer to the actual four devas in Buddhism, but in other cases such as this one it's basically just the top four people. For an analogy, the Elite Four in the Pok?mon games is referred to by the same kanji (四天王) in Japanese, because they're basically the top four Trainers. I guess it's not really something that can translate perfectly into English. :L
*scribbles notes* Yuugi and Suika are members of the Elite Four, got it!
~TruncatedYuyuko freaks out if you get right next to her in her first non-spell. This is in Normal Mode and is not altered in any way. Kaguya does something similar in one of her non-spells, but I can't time it right to get a screenshot, sorry. (Possibly others do this, too? I've tested on a few other bosses and haven't found anything yet.) Amusingly, both of them are considered princesses, so it might have something to do with being improper and getting too close to them. Or they just don't like it. ~
Now imagine if TD had such an attack... Uh-oh.
EX-Keine's first spell does the same thing too. As for the blue amulets, I thought it's because their hitboxes are below where the player's hitbox is at the maximum bottom of the screen.
EX-Keine's final card is slightly different depending on whether you focus or unfocus it.And the Blue Amulets in Xu Fu's Dimension don't have hitboxes
Just about every Touhou character has some kind of hair accessory.
