Have Ferra take a shot at making some items to sell, like trick handcuffs
Send Glenda out to go busking
Have Apophis personally over the building of the farm
Give Alouette a free day
Have Helepolis give a seminar on pressure points. If that don't make the succubi happy, I dunno what will.

We might want to have Sakaki also preside over that farm building, unless I'm stupid and she's a part of it by default.

You're not stupid, but she is required to build things.  As is Ferra.  However that's an innate quality that doesn't require special action.

So Ferra would be too busy building that farm to make some shit? That frees up an action.

Quick reference for myself on suggested actions

* Naming: Dora Ruby the Explorer
- (Ferra/Sakaki/)Apophis -> Farmbuildage
- Ruby -> Find some shit, forests probably a good target
- Bartender/Waitress -> Cocktail Party
- Glenda -> Troubadourin' it up
- Helecopter -> Pressure point class
- Merchant -> Buy wood
- Cassia -> Go over finance records
- Bodyguard -> Self-defense lessons

We'd need to drop one, possibly more if someone comes up with a great idea. Glenda, Helecopter and the Bodyguard look the most expendable.

Let's have Cassie attend the cocktail party in particular. More work won't do much to decrease that stress.

Also, is Mai included in on the 7 actions?

I checked, and the Special Actions have a "limit one action per devil/magician" disclaimer, so I think you were right earlier when I asked.

EDIT: Also Cassia is Restless rather than stressed. I think she just needs something to do. Unless I missed her Stressed status update, in which case nix her action action instead and simply make sure she attends that party. :V

Well, I think I'd recommend nixing Helecopter's class in that case, since it wouldn't help the devils deal with anything that can't be solved with a cocktail party. The self-defense class might be helpful in dealing with RNG incidents, given we've had a couple that were us getting attacked.

Thoughts from anyone else?

- Bartender/Waitress -> Cocktail Party
- Helepolis -> Pressure point class

I'd say that these are good ideas because Ruby might be able to randomly find some other things while looking for a forest and we need wood badly, so the Merchant is an obviously important choice as well.
Going over the records will probably give Cassia something to do so that works and the Cocktail party is a nice way to relieve stress while helping Waitress overcome her restlessness.
As for Helepolis and Bodyguard, we might be able to merge the two lessons into one because pressure points could be used to take down an intruder as well as any moves Bodyguard knows.

In theory, the classes can be combined. In reality...we must consider who we are dealing with. Chances are they aren't going to focus on both aspects.

There's only so much you can learn in a week of study.  These devils are low end power wise, and ranged combat is still their (and Makai's) prefered style.  They'll need to master physical combat 101 before they'll be pulling off any pressure point attacks.

Also Bodyguard's not really a close combat specialist either.  She can still teach the other devils how to take a fall or escape to range of course.

Hereby suggesting we drop Helecopter's class and go with the seven other Special Actions detailed above.

What can we do as Yuki aside from naming a devil? Anything?

Pretty much.  You're a magician with a mastery of fire magic and transmutation.  Your specialty is in attack spells and nuanced alterations of materials.  You're slightly weaker then say... Marisa in terms of power and skill, but you heal faster.

As a magician you have a vague idea about how most things work, but you personally haven't done most menial jobs, so the succubi beat you in their specialty fields.

Week 5 Results

Market Phase

Merchant: "I'm so sorry!"
Merchant got the wood at a discount, but she was robbed.  In the end it came out the same.
Lost $125, gained 5 wood.

Building Phase

Ferra - "Sure you don't want a bigger house?  Or did my soundproofing work better then I thought?"

Farm:

Farmhand1Income +15, +5 to all other income sources.

Farmhand - "If I had a name I could start keeping animals as well.  The Makai varients are a little too strong for me right now."

Research Phase

You finish altering the planar portal spell.  For 10 gems you can build a portal to anywhere in Makai.  For 15 you can build a portal to anywhere!  Though you probably shouldn't do that second one too often.  Shinki likes having a semi closed realm.

Research for Patchouli - 65
Learned Planar Portal.  Costs 10/15 gems and 50/100 mana.  Creates a permanent password protected two way portal.

Yuki: "Who made it so that magical artifacts have to run on precious stones?  Seriously..."

Quote from: Fluff
Yuki glanced at the devil in the circle then frowned.  "Why do you have a whip?"

The nameless devil shrugged.  "It's generally useful."

Yuki considered the matter for a moment.  "I thought you'd want something like a sword.  After all exploration's mostly about hacking your way through the people who set up shop in the ruins right?"

The nameless devil shook her head.  "Oh no.  In the outside world it's about careful supply preperations and avoiding natural hazards.  But I can do both styles."

Yuki shrugged and started the spell as normal.  As reality warped she proclaimed, "Your name is Ruby!"

Ruby smiles brightly.  "Great!  I'm ready for anything!"

"Good then you can find a us a forest."

Ruby nodded and grabbed a flamboyant hat.  "Right, then I'm off."

The devil suddenly kissed Yuki on the lips then ran for the door.  "For luck!"

Yuki blinked for a few moments then swore.  "Damn!  I shouldn't have left my guard down."
Spells:
You name Ruby.  As a named devil her level is automatically increased by one.  For naming a devil, Morale and Max Morale have increased by 5.
Ruby needs 100 XP to reach level 2.

Ruby     Explorer   1   Fights Nazis.  Saves the World.

Ruby:  "Artifacts, lost civilizations and distant lands.  I can handle them all."

Special Actions
1: Have Merchant acquire goods.

See above

2: Get a massage

Helepolis: "You should take a break more often Miss Yuki."

Removed 10 stress

3: Send Ruby Exploring

Ruby: "The Forest of Woe!  Gotta be some good loot here."

Critical Success!  Ruby found location: Forest of Woe!
Ruby found $70.  Ruby found 5 gems!
Ruby gained 110 xp!  Level UP!

Sakaki: "Well we have a forest, there's just no way to get the wood here in a reasonable amount of time.  I mean, we can't just teleport back and forth with logs, right?"
Mai: "..."

4: Cocktail Party

Waitress: "Your drink Ms Yuki."

The party cost $10.  Morale increased by 1.  Stress reduced by 1.

5: Have Cassia hit the books again.

Cassia: "Miss Yuki!  Upon review I've discovered we can increase our return on investment 200% if you and Mai make out right here."
Yuki: "Waitress!  Cassia's done for the night."
Cassia: "No, really!  I can prove it with graphs!"

Cassia wasn't able to find any way of getting more cash, but she did enjoy her work.

6: Have Glenda tour

Glenda: "I think I know just the group...."

Glenda earned another $50.

7: Have Bodyguard give self defense classes.

Bodyguard: "You and Miss Mai have to attend as well Miss Yuki!  Mixed melee combat's coming back into style in Gensoukyo!"
Yuki: "Wait what!?"

You gained a few bruises and a cut, but the devils know how to take a hit better at least.  Yuki and Mai and the devil are more likely to resist serious wounds.

Quote from: Fluff
There was a knock at the study door.  Yuki looked up as Alouette entered.

"My Lady, we have a petitioner."

Yuki sighed.  "Door to door salesman?  Does it look edible?"

Alouette shook her head.  "Adventurer my Lady.  He claims we are part of the 128 stars of destiny and that we should join his army."  The maid frowned.  "He also is rummaging through the supplies."

Yuki buried her face in her hands.  "Very well.  See about keeping him occupied.  I'll go get Mai to drive him out.

Alouette shook her head.  "That won't be necessary.  We'll show him the door ourselves."

Yuki raised an eyebrow.  "I want to see that."

She followed her maid to the guest room where the adventurer (a man in rather weak looking armor) was sitting with Elle and Ruby hanging off each arm.  Yuki was annoyed more then normal at this.

The man turned and started to speak when Alouette whistled.  Immediately Ruby and Elle pointed at the adventurers face and shot him in the head with danmaku.

Yuki looked at the fallen form.  "Well that was easy.  Don't forget to toss him outside.  We don't want him reviving in the basement if he really is a chosen hero.

"Unlikely, but whatever you say Lady Yuki," Ruby said as she dragged the bleeding form out the door.

Events:
A wandering hero attempted to pressgang you.  The devils wiped them with danmaku before you even needed to bother.  Morale rose by 4.  You gained 6 notoriety.

Butler is restless.
From this weeks work you gained 3 stress

(Note: Apophis did supervise farm construction, however there was no chance of mechanical gain from the action so it was not counted as an official action.)

Because, let's face, the devils would find the two peopel at once thing hot.

Also: Advocating we name the merchant. She's gonna be a busy little bee.

There's no amount of derp available for that mistake.

Spoiler:
She doesn't get split form until level 12.

Name the merchant Drew and send her out on a quest to purchase as much derp as necessary to make up for that mistake.

No particular objections to naming the Merchant, as she's higher priority than everyone else still left unnamed (though I had considered the Farmgirl). Natural curiosity as to the origin of the Hibachi name. Throwing out Drew as an obligatory alternate option. Won't be too upset if Hibachi wins out, just giving options.

Ruby just found us a forest, so we can put off looking for more sources of wood for a little bit. Maybe have her look for a source of books next?
