Dammit dammit dammit why am I dying to Kagome, Kagome and Starbow Break?! ;_; It's bad enough that only one in ten/twenty runs end up with enough points (or not being dead) by Flandre, without the addition of silly deaths in the easy spots like those. At this rate I'm not even going to finish any runs at all, let alone hit 400m.

You must be having a bad day if you're dying to stuff that I can consistently capture when I've never completed any Extra besides PoFV, or any Hard modes besides LLS :V (Kagome-Kagome that is. I safespot Starbow Break <.< >.> )

I finally reach flandre's last non-card with 2 lives 3 bombs (plenty to clear the stage!) then I die during a regular avoidance move for god knows what reason, then proceed to die twice to the edge of those blue rotating things on counter clock right when they end >.<

Possessed by Phoenix now holds my personal record for most attempts at capturing without a single capture. I can get past the second phase about 2% of the time. Also, I keep clipping on Flaw of Forgiving Shrine, one of the easiest Extra cards ever.

As someone who's died to Ultimate Buddhist, Seven Stones and Seven Trees, Danmaku Paranoia, and Mysterious Snake Show, I feel your pain.

I've been wondering for a while why ZUN puts in these cards, and I think I've finally arrived at an answer: depression. They're easier than some Stage 1 cards, so, if you happen to screw up in the midst of the excitement, you'll be so depressed, you'll game over in your mind.

I clip Seven Stones ALL THE TIME. Snake Show on the other hand, I think I'm like 42/43 or so across all shot types. The one failed attempt was when the game bugged out and thought I was holding left the whole time. Actually I may have even captured it then, making my failed attempt something more like:

"Hey let's look at the history for this card"
"What the fuck why am I 9/10"
"Oh it's because I'm currently on the tent...SHIT"

When I'm playing Koishi, it's not like I'm fighting Koishi, it's more like I'm fighting MYSELF.
Played Extra just for the kick. Sanae was fine, death at the fast bullets, then everything captured all the way to Youkai Polygraph, death at Rorschach, stupid death at pre-Genetics, was SO close to capturing this card for the first time, death at Philosophy.
Two lives left when reaching Subterranean Rose. I was so excited, that I almost didn't control myself anymore. KOISHI'S CONTROLLING ME! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Lost both lifes at the third phase.
Beautiful. (sarcasm)

So close to doing a perfect clear of LLS Easy as Marisa A... Screwed up against the enemies right before the bullet circles from nowhere on stage 5... I EVEN DID THE FREAKING REIMU BATTLE PERFECTLY!!! GAAAH!!! Well, let's see if I can salvage this into a one death, one bomb run... Since I accidentally revival bombed when I died...

EDIT: Yes... Managed to get the one death, one bomb clear. I was so close to perfect...

After repeatedly failing to not mess up scoring in EoSD, I got bored, so.

My EoSD Extra Likelyhood Chart

Chances of not messing up the first set of fairies: 20%.
Chances of not messing up the next three sets of fairies: 80%.
Chances of not messing up Silent Selene: 50%.
Chances of not messing up the other two cards: 70%.
Chances of not messing up somewhere in the rest of the pre-Flan spam: 40%.
Chances of not messing up Flandre: 20% (being generous).

Trying an unfocused timeout of 1.5x speed Fujiyama Volcano. Three times I got it to less than ten seconds, one of these attempts ending by hitting the very last bullet I'd have to actually dodge, with less than two seconds to go.

EoSD Extra makes me so mad. Not because it's really that hard... but because I just like to screw up really badly at some point and fail. The only place I haven't screwed up at is Laevatain, but that's because it's ridiculously easy. Most of my screwing up is at the spam fairies, where I somehow don't dodge bullets that should pass right by me. The 2nd death fairy... It's just sad how much I screw up on it. I should probably bomb it seeing as how if I want to score, I need to bomb it anyway :X

Then in comes Patchy! Silent Selene has finally become trivial for me... But Royal Flare has suddenly not become kind of easy? I now collide randomly with danmaku for whatever reason. Philosopher's Stone is usually autobomb, but if I die on Royal Flare I can clear it

The rest of the stage is normally perfect now. The spam books get me sometimes though.

Flandre is like a giant mess of screw ups. I haven't screwed up on her noncards yet, but I haven't captured Cranberry Trap even though it's the exact same pattern every single time, and I know how to do it. At least everything else is easy... Until Maze of Love. I just realized that I have to unfocus to catch up with the holes

. Now if only I can GET TO THE CARD AGAIN!!!

I just did a score run in IN (note: new to this game^^) and well I went to Marisa without dying and then I die right multiple times during the rest of the game landing with last life when I clear.

So on my first try today, I game overed SA before reaching Satori
On my second try, I reached Satori with 7 lives, beat her with only 1 life left.
On my third, fourth and fifth tries I always perfect Satori or lose 0/1 life, die on stage 5, reach Orin with about 5 lives and never beat her....

Orin is the hardest boss in the game by a fair bit, not counting Koishi. As always, I'd prescribe some stage practice. :V I would also prescribe bombing Orin's midboss card every time you see it, because that is some pretty evil BS.

And, on a more rage-ish note, I just did what appeared to be a really good run of EoSD Extra that I thought would finally get me over 400m. Q.E.D finished, and my base score looked good, and then for some reason I get some utterly pathetic bonus that didn't even bring my close to my previous score, let alone 400m. Man, I really need to learn how to do that ridiculous Laevateinn grazing...

There really isn't much to say, except to know exactly which attacks you are going to bomb on and when. IMO, if you can defeat Marisa, it is entirely possible to beat Mima, because I've done it even after Marisa took away every last one of my resources.

The attacks I bomb on that I can think of off the top of my head would be the spinning stars that come at you at insane speeds and anything involving her orbs coming out really far away from her, since I almost invarably get smacked when they do >.< I have a feeling I' forgetting something though... Still, her fight just seems to last way too long considering that she has utterly insane attacks that she keeps using over and over again...

And even with her brokenness, I've had a couple runs where I could easily have 1cc'd if the game hadn't cheated >.<
