And two more things, for anyone who wants them.

Mostly self-explanatory. Caster spams danmaku in this pattern (going outward) while shotting lazors going clockwise. The tiny catch is that the especially big danmaku (pointed out and marked with *) explode into a bunch of little cascading danmaku when the lasers touch them and do not respawn. Another big catch that may be (I'm not sure, I've never seen it before) fun would be to remove the sound of the danmaku firing and only the BGM playing.

Caster is placed at top-middle, 40 shot-mounts randomly placed appear behind. The caster shoots out a ring of danmaku (swirling clockwise outward) and bigger danmaku out to the side, which then explode into cascading smaller ones. The 40 in the back then shoot out, 2 at a time every half-second, half-second beams of almost-tracking lasers for a grand total of 10 seconds. The shot-mounts then reset at random 3 seconds after the last has fired and begins once more.

Is what I see. Both phrases travel in opposite directions in a movement very similar to SA/UFO cutins.

but seriously, i plan on getting some portraits/sprites done this week(end), and this is what my cut-in portrait will look like.

i also just noticed how disproportionate those sleeves are.

Please do us scripters a favour, and give your portraits in photoshop format or save them as PNG. Why? Because transparant background being saved in Photoshop as png automatically makes it transparant for us scripters. That means we don't have to go edit the portraits =V

Cutin portraits never have opacity in the game.

If you mean you cannot see the boss during the cutin: They are supose to appear behind the enemy sprite but in front of the background. But this is a custom cutinscript I am using and it is still experimental. The danmakufu gurus would understand what I am talking about :V

But opacity like this is easy achieveable, it can be done scriptwise. No need for the artists to make their pictures transparant.

Edit:

I now understand your post =.= with the cutin script I am using, the portrait is appearing in front of the enemy. However, it is not blocking the player sprite. Neverless, eventually I will fix it proper so it appears behind the enemy.

Ya, I will have tweak around with different images ( got the photoshop file so tweaking is easy ) then the people can pick one or something and will be used as standard.

@ Slaves and any other portrait designer: The following dimensions for a portrait is best fitting imo: 
- width 256~384 & height 512
- Make sure the BG is transparant in photoshop or w/e editor you use.
- Png format saved ( automatically triggers transparancy in danmakufu because of the previous note )

(Actually anything above 448 doesn't fits on the screen anymore proper. Like example, Byakuren's portrait is 359x512 and she is spawned horizontal like in the movie I shown. But if you take the diagonal cutin, it would not fit proper)

yeah, i was going to do the transpearent BG until i realized that i didn't color in the sleeves so they'd be transpearent also.

also, i've noticed that the "spellcard attack!" thing when something uses a spellcard overlaps the cutin that comes in. is there a way to avoid that so it's more like the original?
