(Fun fact, the desire to feed is actually partially subconscious. Specifically, it's a subset of the survival instinct.)

[The act of eating itself is conscious, however. Koishi says she's not interested in eating. It can be interpreted as the action itself. Besides, Youkai don't need to eat in the RQ world, so Koishi wouldn't have a eating survival instinct.]
