Ask to see the scroll. It can't hurt, at least.

> Rinnosuke opens the scroll. It has some weird markings on it, you can't make any sense of it.

> "At 3 am?"

> "Well, I'm half youkai. I can't go in the village in broad daylight, because a lot of humans are scared of me, just for being half-youkai."

Sympathize with him. We can't go into the village either. And it's too bad too, there's such tasty food there...  :3

>"Hey, you run a shop, right? What kind of tips and tricks have you figured out with running them?"

> You don't know who the fire girl is, but apparently the Princess is called Kaguya, and is the one who fixed Kogasa. According to Rumia.

> "I don't really sell much. When your main visitor to the store is Marisa Kirisame, that says it all, really." Rinnosuke says.

> Wait, she's a were-something? Shouldn't the villagers hate her too?

> "Keine can control history. She can erase any event that would reveal that nature, although she may not do this, I don't know if she's just careful. Even then, she was born fully human, and, for the most part, still is. She dosen't change in personality when she transforms, and leaves the village for the period where she is. The humans respect her for her work, and, put simply, she's too valuable to them to lose. If the human village lost Keine, it wouldn't last long before some fairy prank burnt it down."

> "Let's hope this dosen't turn into so evil mind control viva lamprey thing that causes Reimu to come by and beat you up!" Daiyousei happily announces. The fairy is the smartest fairy, but sometimes her imagination gets ahead of her. Like all fairies.

Since Rinno's heading to the village to see Keine about that scroll, maybe we can go with him to find cookbooks.
Keine = Teacher = Books = Cookbooks = Better Food = Better Business

I know, I know, youkai aren't allowed, but if we're a member of his party, and we stick with him, it might just work out.

Just saying it's about 3:20 am and shops would be closed.

I am thinking the trick, as well, is advertising. And getting a toehold in some populated locations.

>"So, the lamprey's great, isn't it?"

> "Yummy!" says Daiyousei. Rinnosuke nods.

>Wait! What if you let someone sell your wares in the village for you?

> "I'm not sure who would. Reimu's too lazy and has her other duties anyway. Marisa would just take anything I give her to sell... or any money, and Sakuya, on the rare occasion she shows up, is far too busy." Rinnosuke says. "It's not like any Youkai would be able to do it. Unless they were powerful enough that Keine wouldn't be able to stop them... but that would probobly just cause Reimu to kick them out because of all the humans running to her shrine scared."

>Do we know anyone else that we could count on?
>Ponder how close we could get the cart to human town before Keine would definitely flip out at us.
>When do we prefer to sleep?

> Rumia and Wriggle. You'd add Cirno and Kogasa to this list, but the former is... well... Cirno, and the latter is more likly to go off surpriseing people.

> You know she's not at the town on the night of the full moon. Unfortunetly, humans sleep at this time.

> Meiling has mentioned a library within the Scarlet Devil Mansion a few times, but while Meiling would happily let at least Rumia in after the Tome incident, Sakuya does not.

> In general, Youkai do not sleep. There are exceptions, such as those linked with the seasons, like Letty Whiterock, or lazy youkai like Yukari, but as a Night Sparrow, you generally only sleep when you're exhausted.

> Wriggle also says Yuka Kanzami sleeps sometimes, but as a flower youkai, this is probobly due to her strong links with nature.

I have the plan. Let's bring the cart to the edge of human town around sunrise, and let the delicious smells of cooking breakfast lure out the hootmans. I call this the "Not touching you, can't get mad!" plan, since we wouldn't be in town, and people would be coming to us.

> It would take you about five minuites to make the trip, but you'd have to do multiple taking parts of your stand. You presume it would take an hour, includeing assembly, making it 4:20am.

>Do we even have enough lamprey to serve? How much do we have?

> None. You have nowhere to store it. The human village is about 7 minuites flight from Misty Lake.
