In one practice run of Lunatic UFO Stage 5, I:
-Aced the post-Nazrin spam fairies.
-Aced the second nonspell.

Both for the first time.

I don't care how much luck was involved, to be frank. :V

Time to disprove that, then.

Overwhelmed by bullets, your ability to -read- lowers drastically.
You end up flail-dodging via point-blank reading.
If you get ganged up by an unavoidable cluster of bullets (a wall), something that requires moving out of the way in advance, you lose.
You don't, which means you got lucky with how the random bullets had spawned.

Flail-dodging and not getting walled is strategic flailing. Flail-dodging and then getting walled is a silly mistake. Pretty much all the time, the different kinds of outcomes that can occur are things that you can take into consideration. Failure to do so is not bad luck but a silly mistake.

Of clipdeath after clipdeath and bullets spawning right on top of me and lasers spawning in front of me seemingly at random.

But I finally did it, I finally cleared 8-4!

You can't "avoid getting walled" AND dodge bullets in that kind of state.

I'm not sure if it's an improvement in my playstyle that caused me to score higher on a 3-player run of Highly Responsive to Prayers: Lunatic Hell than I did on a 5-player run, or if it's just that I've learned when I'm supposed to bomb...

Kanako thinks it's funny to take 3 lives on her easiest card, so I couldn't rest knowing I haven't got my 1cc. Now I can.

I'm pretty sure it punishes you for using extra lives by lowering your score. So starting with more lives makes the game harder.

Also, go Malkyrian! I agree with Zengeku; you've gotta upload these eventually.

Finally captured PSM in UFO hard....twice (I forgot to make a replay the first time :colonveeplusalpha: )

Now if only I could capture this during an actually survival run D:.

I checked his channel and he does have some of them up. He should do a compilation similar to those I've done with the Ultra patches. If he could find some touhou arranges then it would perfect.

Revisiting SA Lunatic practice modo, I improve my high scores by quite a bit.

I capture DBDB twice in three runs, while I have yet to capture it once before then.
I handle the opening assault of Stage 5 very, very well, getting out of some pretty bad situations.
I ace Orin's third nonspell and do very well on Ghost Wheels, not capturing because I went too far on one side, causing me to get hit by one of the wheel's edges. ;-;

The latter two both happened in a 'no bombs' practice run in which I did very well on the post-midOrin part.

Feels good.

I suck at doing those.

Right now I feel like I've uploaded all the really good stuff. I'll upload anything by request, though. (Assuming I've actually done it, obviously.)

So I managed to take 1 shot during Deep Fog Labyrinth - if I can do it once, I can clear the card.

It'll probably take me a while though, and I'm not even sure it'll be the first one done. We'll see.

Yey, GFW Extra Stage clear! Only wanted to kill some time before the last check-up of my work project which prevented me from playing in the past few days.

Anyway, the last Spellcard was a bit of a mystery to me and I didn't really feel like figuring out how to do it without pretty much melting, so I just took the beams to the face and tried to live through it. Do people even try to avoid the beams there? Seems really annoying to me, maybe even more than it's worth (minus score runs, I guess).

Captured Greatest Treasure for the first time.

Aced the spam fairies for the second time.

Didn't screw up on the very last part.

The death was to the fairies right after Nazrin (with the red-purple arrows).

Third UFO Hard 1cc. Ended the game with three lives left over and captured Devil's Recitation and Legendary Flying Saucer (sorry Hijiri, had to bomb the rest of your spells). A lot of derp deaths throughout the entire run, namely two at Ichirin for not paying proper attention and I kind of thought at the start of stage 5 that this is going to fail (four lives, I usually need more than that) but somehow I got through to Shou with only one death - at those ying yang Orbs, seriously. She had to pack a bit too as I bombed her second non-spell and the first and third spellcard but I captured the other two at least. :V

Not an accomplishment through the games, so don't know if this counts but..
Was assigned a speech to present in front of my class on whatever I wanted (Within appropriate terms, of course).
Did it on my favorite video game series, the Touhou Project.
Aced the speech, and no one gave me odd looks afterword for talking about an unknown game series from a far off country.
Heh heh. I'm so proud I didn't back away from doing my speech on Touhou

It feels good.

Anyway, in the actual games, I figured out how to go about some of Orins spells, like 'Cursed Sprite Zombie Fairy' and 'Rekindling of Dead Ashes'.
I still haven't beat her semi-properly, but maybe I'm getting somewhere :V

Everything apart from "Nikou Hijiri's Air Scroll" captured on Hard, including all of Byakuren's non-spells. Decided to put this here instead of the rage thread because a random practice attempt ended up being killer. Slowly the asskicker is becoming the asskickee, that is I'm starting to get really good at UFO. :3
