Due to some people's comments that Keine is easy, tried stage 3 again. Perfect stage portion (midboss not included because First Pyramid can go die) with one death overall. Not as bad as I remembered it, but still worse than 4B and 5. >_>

Decided to practice General Headquarters Crisis afterwards with Alice Solo, even with lolmemorization it still took me 52 tries. I think practice makes me worse, because it only took ~15 the first time with border team. >_>

Border team is prolly easier though, I was practicing the stage 3 cards last night and I captured general HQ in the bottom corner using just the Ran lock  and it only took me about 10-12 tries to get the path right. Alice is probably much more difficult from a capturing perspective because its a forward shot only meaning you have the stay in the cluster**** of bullets in the middle of the screen.

Yeah, definitely switching to ReimuA though, hard as heck to get any damage on Sakuya in any of her cards it feels like.

You need to pick one of the sides and stream there. You'll time it out if you stick to the center.

On the subject of restarts: according to UFO stats I have ~1000 attempts overall. ~800 at SA. EoSD doesn't show but I'm assuming ~600.

I remember i had some problems with running vsync with EoSD too. Don't you forget to rename the original exe file to 東方紅魔郷.exe ?

All you ever wanted was someone's attention in a good manner, after all everyone else calls you gross and I remarked your hakutaku form as "cool" when I first saw you. I cried for five minutes because you were so strong. My patience was so worn from trying to figure out First Pyramid that by the time I skipped to Ephermerality 137 my patience had worn to about as small as Suika can get. And then I cried.

Oh wait. Am I counting only my crying break, Keine? NONE of your students have cracked under pressure. And you're more cruel to me than to any of your other students. I suck up to you all the time, and I meant every word I said. You're beautiful. I compliment you. You beat me on the head harder than even Cirno, or Star Sapphire.

I cried for 45 minutes while playing, trying to figure something out.

See what you do, Keine? See what you do to my sanity? Murasa is less of a pain in the ass than you, even on fucking Lunatic, because at least her attacks are FUN and NOT STATIC and NOT ANNOYING (For the most part).

I'd sooner become a Luna Shooter by playing fucking UFO than IN because at least Keine wasn't brought back.

To you guys who think I'm just whining for no reason, I have tried to practice. I have put in all of the patience I could put into practicing the mountain in the field of difficulty. I spent a literal 40 minutes just hammering away at First Pyramid. Yeah, I can capture it. OUT OF DUMB LUCK. If I can't use a route that allows me to capture it five times in a row, what I deem "consistent", then I don't know it.

Point of the matter is, I tried. Don't think I'm just being lazy like the other times (Whining because Comet on Earth is one thing, but this is 4 captures out of 30 tries).

On a lighter note, I noticed that Google Translate turns the kanji for EoSD into Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, which I thought was a neat little tidbit.

To everyone who's having trouble with First Pyramid: do you destroy one of the familiars right when the card starts? I started doing that after watching one of Kefit's videos, and it does seem to make the card noticeably easier.

Doesn't look too bad (though the layout of the English records sure does). Granted, mine's not particularly pretty because I mainly practiced for the 1CC, so I simulated real situations pretty often, which involved planned Bombs. Still, at least I've got big numbers, too.

10 more of those hours and you might approach decency. Though, those 10 hours shouldn't be spent on static attacks. Only by playing against hard patterns you'll be able to grow stronger, so maybe IN isn't the game you should be playing right now. What you need is difficult patterns and IN doesn't have many of those. Go play UFO and SA Lunatic. Or DoDonPachi and Ketsui.

I need you to go look up some replays. http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=20389: This is a 3 miss clear of Lunatic. It shows the fruit of plentiful training of IN survival which is what you are dealing with right now. You don't have to look at mine, you can also look at others and learn from them. I get the feeling that you are ramming your head against a wall. Literally perhabs even. Instead you must try and look at what you are doing wrong by comparing your replays to those of others.

In response to all the outcry about Keine recently, I decided to no-focus capture First Pyramid Lunatic for kicks.  As mentioned earlier, it's certainly easier to get rid of one of the familiars immediately for lower density.  (Youtube) No-Focus First Pyramid Lunatic

Meanwhile, in rage-worthy news, I aced SA Normal Stage 1 scoring with 1694 graze not using bombs.  Then I hit the FIRST BULLET of stage 2 not paying attention.  UGH.

Her first card is piss easy but it's not very fun so pretty much a waste of space.

Sinkable Vortex likes walling me. And when it doesn't, it kills me a second or so before I capture it.

The third card is easy IN THEORY but the bullet streams are fucking unreadable because they become one big blob due to the bullets being ANIMATED.

My record for both cards at the moment is 0/25 or so.

I don't even want to talk about her finale, although at least that one I managed to capture.

Well, the boss in question can throw unfairness at you for the third wave, for example if she puts a bullet in the path that you need to dodge through. I wouldn't quite say that it's impossible to dodge when this is the case but I will say that she's quite an ass when she does it.

First Pyramid is indeed memo, and IMO it's not that hard even if you leave that first familiar alone. Sure it may take practice to learn (do any of them not? :V), but the end result (i.e. never dying on that attack again) is the real allure of doing that in the first place.

The first two should not be killing you. All three are static compared to Murasa, but only the third is hard enough where no one will blame you for dying there.

On Lunatic you can do the "four corners" strategy, luring Murasa to each of the corners like this. Yet another attack that actually becomes easier on higher difficulties. :V

The four corners strategy actually worked for me on lower difficulties iirc. I'm not fast enough to do it on Lunatic.

The first nonspell has you focused on leftovers from the old wave and fast drops from the new wave at the same time. I'm not very consistent at this. By the way, it is essentially 'not' static because of this, since the leftovers are dependent on Murasa's old position. They can potentially screw you over placement-wise.

The second nonspell I find easier than the first but, like I said, it kills me unexpectedly once in a while.
