> Ask for information, especially who actually started it. For all we know Hatate is more loony than Aya.
>Momiji wriggles free of Aya's headlock and drops back to talk to you.
"Hatate knocked on Aya's door to challenge her to a danmaku duel because she was bored, and Aya agreed. She was fine then. I watches in case I had to intervene and after a while I saw Aya wanted a little more than to beat Hatate. I shouted to her that she waa overdoing in, and she just told me to shut up. That was when she snapped. The rest is... well, the rest is just the lead-up to how Hatate is now. I think she tried to escape, but Aya grabbed her, knocked her out and threw her off the mountain. Aya's been a little depressed lately... I don't know why. I think the reason she went beserk is because she just had an emotional overload..."
>Eirin coughs, "Reimu, Momiji, if you're squeamish I advise you leave the room."

>You aren't squeamish, and Momiji stays in the room. It seems you are both tolerant of gore.
>Maybe Eirin was just trying to be polite?

>Eirin takes Hatate carefully from Aya and lays her on the operating table, rushing to a cupboard to dig out necessary medical equipment.
"Udongein, could you... maybe give Aya the 'check-up' whilst I'm busy?" Eirin asks, putting in subtle air quotes.

>Whisper to Momijii, "Aya? Depressed? That's hard to imagine, but what do you think could have caused that?"
>Reisen just escorts Aya to two chairs in the corner.
>Momiji shrugs, "I was surprised, too! Honestly, I've never seen that girl as down as I did earlier today. Her eyes were bloodshot like she'd been crying for ages. I think she just over-reacted from Hatate breaking into her house and nearly destroying it. The damage isn't noticeable from the outside but, whew, you should take a look at the interior. Hatate destroyed absolutely everything!! Even Aya's furniture! Her typewriter, the pictures she got of a youkai kissing an immortal near the Human Village, all the newspapers she had to deliver, her list of contacts, her clothes, everything. Gone. I guess what really bothered her is what Hatate painted on the wall... 'Lord Tenma hates you forever'."

>Eirin begins digging out the debris from Hatate's skin, and Reisen is trying to keep Aya's attention. It's difficult, as Aya keeps trying to get up and push Reisen away.

>She really seems quite jumpy, and growing out of her giggly euphoria into a subtle maddened rage.
>You have several sealing talismen on hand.

>Possibly. Hatate is probably just a little hyper.

Aya's "breakdown", however, is something else completely.

>How many will it take to seal a tengu?
>You move. Aya doesn't seem to notice or really care, she's more interested in planning out how she's going to destroy Hatate's home.
>She seems to be getting a little too jittery and reckless...
>It would probably take just one or two. Strong as they are, tengu easily succumb to things like seals and/or magical impediments.

>Eirin finishes pulling debris out of Hatate's flesh, and just as she goes to fetch some more medical equipment, Hatate takes a deep gasp and comes to.
>Aya gets a little too excited. "Hatate Himekaidou!! You're awake, we~ll, good to see ya' all patched up! I brought ya' here, so it's only natural you wanna pay me back for savin' ya!! But first, you're gonna wanna fix my house and sit there and watch me destroy yours!!! Oh, yeah, it'll be great! We'll see who Lord Tenma hates now, you pigtailed little piece of crap!!!"
>Hatate whimpers, but her current state of fatigue is too great to allow her to move properly.

Oh yeah, its not Gensokyo or Reimu without overkill.
>Can we use any charms to make her fall asleep? If so, hit her with about two or three more than it would normally take to put out a Tengu, adding more for insurance. Then stick a couple of sealing charms on anyway.
>Otherwise, about six sealing charms to start. Add more if she shows any signs of moving.

>Otherwise, about six sealing charms to start. Add more if she shows any signs of moving.
>You don't have any charms for sleep, the closest thing you have is a charm for induced unconsciousness. Aya will thank you later.
>You pat on several of the charms on Aya's back, and she peacefully falls to the floor. Then, you add the sealing charms. Aya is completely still, save for calm, slow breathing.

>Hatate attempts to sit up, with help from Eirin, "Thanks... I wasn't thinking she'd flip out this bad, I swear!!"
>Momiji gives a weak smile, "Neither did anybody else, Hatate, don't worry!"
>Hatate tilts her head, wincing as her neck clicks, "Momiji, why are you being nice?"
Momiji shrugs, "Two reasons. One: you nearly died, and two: I've had to clean up the mess left after the pair of you leave whenever you fight, so if I'm nice maybe you can both call a truce and give me and yourselves a break!"

>Reisen nudges Aya's body, "Is she still alive?"

> Ask Hatate and Momiji: "So, whats the deal with Lord Tenma?"
> Have we ever even seen the head bird?
> Hatate gives an embarrassed smile, "Lord Tenma's taking a little off-time lately, going to travel around a bit and trust us tengu to keep in order. I guess all of the tengu have gone a little haywire since we don't have any authority figure to keep us in check. Hence the mass fighting going on. Lord Tenma isn't going to be the happiest when he returns, I'll bet.."
> Momiji nods, "What she said."
> You've never seen Lord Tenma yourself, despite having heard a lot from Aya.

> "Can't you focus on her eyes now? If we have to we'll hold them open for you."
>Reisen smiles, "No, no, don't worry. I'll see if I can do it."
>She kneels beside Aya, rolls the tengu's body onto her back and holds open the eyelids of both her eyes. Then, she begins what, at a glance, looks like a staring contest, but the intense determination on Reisen's face lets you know it's anything but that.

Heck, even Momiji has been enjoying the sparring and fighting~! Last I heard before Aya beat me to a pulp, Momiji was currently the only tengu so far undefeated between all of us."
Momiji blushes, "Hatate! Don't say such silly rumours. It's true I've been fighting, but I think I've lost once..."

>Momiji folds her arms, "I have had to intervene on several occasions, but unfortunately I couldn't do so in the fight between Hatate and Aya. I had just gotten back from sorting out a heated fight, and then all I could do was attempt to prise Aya off. Reimu, you should know yourself that Aya is persistent, even when insane."
>Hatate laughs, "Indeedy. Even about the most trivial of things."

>Reisen calls in a chirpy tone, "I'm finished! If Aya wakes up still as insane as she was before, then something else must be causing her to go constantly insane, like some kind of manipulation even I can't reverse. But, I think I did enough."
