I think it's more than fair to say the usefulness of the wordcount restriction was reduced in inverse proportion to the number of living players.  By D5 or D6 it probably should've been canned; I will consider doing this in future games with wordcounts.

I would be more inclined to support this view if I hadn't both watched and played in games with this exact restriction that hit winner-take-all LYLO where the restriction was never a problem, not even on that final day.

The post restriction became an issue because it was being applied to a player base that doesn't know how to be succinct. Pardon me for leaning this way, but I believe that's more on the player base than the nature of the restriction.

Don't be snide to the person you are tunneling on.  Even if you think they are 100% scum.  About the time you were all but laughing at Bob and literally ignoring all the blatantly scummy things Chaore was doing (or the lack of writing cases /care etc.) I stopped caring about your fate.

Would have saved words, too!

People should not be signing up for games if they don't have time.  With so many liabilities to town and such a dry D1/2, it was a painful game to play, to the point where I wanted to ragequit around D4/5 because everyone but rawr (and maybe Serela) was being lazy and no one seemed to be reading my posts except for BT (and even then he did not have the time for conversation).

I'm not sure why tarring and feathering is so disagreeable in that regard if people cannot keep up the required activity, regardless of work or school.  If death is an incentive for people to post (e.g Chaore), so let it be.  It would have been the same with the 24 hour prod-modkill system anyways.

On a better note, props to Shadoweh for the great flavour and all the boxes with Minoriko in them;  really enjoyed it.  Had fun with the post restrictions as well.

Helps get reads sometimes, and I hate backing down against really horrible arguments.  I *did* stop tunneling on Dormio and did a 180*.  But Seriously no-matter-what Shadoweh thinks LLD was a great lynch.  She had a outlier role, did nothing but tunnel townies with real crap cases, lurked etc.  I was very happy with that lynch.

I still have no freaking clue how votes got on me D1.   or why Serela and Affinity hated each other despite their role claims.  I am pissed that Shadoweh witheld info on whether I could evict.  >_<

I pretty much agree that since we failed to catch scum, LLD was pretty much the best D2 mislynch we could have ended up with.

This is in part because you and BT were doing nothing but tunneling her in return, though.

Well without a massclaim I wasn't gonna lynch Omba. I *did* offer to get Chaore.  And althought you and affinity were all like, 'yeah, we could lynch him' earlier, you guys wre cool with LLD lynch. (and you lost your town read on her eventually)

Eventually I got around to thinking Serela town after his ferocity in getting his reads lynched, but ah well.

Actually I would have thought that lynching Dormio was the better option D2, because in the end LLD's lynch did not do much in terms of info anyways.  Not that I pushed it at all, but yeah.

Like I said on IRC a few days ago, I don't have anything spectacular whipped up at present, but I do have a few odds-and-ends ideas for individual things and, as such, a few default setups I can pull out at the drop of a hat should I so desire to do so.

Not starting signups so close to the end of this game, though.

The part about her role would only be relevant if you had actually waited for her to roleclaim before lynching her. :V See the scum QT for if they thought she just 'did nothing but tunnel townies'. I was quite sad that she had IHNN under the ropes and let him go to tunnel on BT. And then promised the scumteam she wouldn't forget about him after Day 1. <.<

Ideally, at some point that allows me to start the game after next weekend, since I'm going to BAMCon on May 5th and a Celtics playoff game on either the 4th or the 6th, and I don't want this game running during those things.

If you start sign-ups now, you can start after those events regardless, rather than wait longer so people can sign up.

Hey, had to move grandmother and get car to mechanic around various other commitments this weekend.

But I guess I can at least open signups with some bare minimum info! It's not like you won't have time to pull out before the game starts if I add something in later.

The following can be taken as not-going-to-change:

- 13 players
- Anonymous game because why the fuck not! This means you SIGN UP IN PRIVATE. I will not list Chelsea characters because there's exactly 13 characters  to use, but you may request a specific character if you like as long as you can actually name the character (they do have names!) Note that Bunny and Chelsea are not playable.
- No hydras. Fuck off with this nonsense. If there are extenuatuing circumstances you either line up a replacement beforehand or don't play at all.
- There will be a non-trivial number of roles. The game on the whole will not be role madness/bastard mod, however. (Hi Bard you know you can actually trust me to keep my word on this <3)
- 48 hours for Day 1, 72 hours for Days >1. Nights max out at 24 hours.
- Town must lynch, scum must kill. No majority, no lynch.

Oh, yeah, I can see how that is confusing. "Town must lynch" in the sense that town gets nothing if it fails to hit a majority, not that town gets a plurality lynch (or a random lynch) if they don't reach a majority.

Also I see a pile of new PMs but I can't get to them for another 45 minutes. Sorry, folks.
