Well, gapping him and us inside the border isn't exactly the best idea, though, even if it were to be inaccessible for everyone else. I'm not sure what would happen if we went inside there again.

_______

Making threats with Rinnosuke, after how well it went down last time, may not be the best idea... though I can see what you're doing on that part, since we have something to go against him this time. He caught sight of the mini gap, so he may be prepared for whatever we pull on him.

However, we didn't see Marisa leave; so it's probably a safe bet that she's with Alice... And I have a sneak feeling why that is.

Also, whilst it's all well and good doing this to make sure we can catch Rinnosuke off guard, there was no point in waiting around FOR A WHOLE HOUR for this. I mean, an hour. Really? We could have easily done something during this time (sneak a peek at the SDM or something) and come back within that time. An hour wasted on spying on Kourindou, whilst good against Kourin, isn't doing the world a favor; let alone being Yukari-like.

Still, we can work with this~ <3

Err... actually, if we want to free Alice, we have to make threats against him, anyway. I had planned to either have him lead us to Alice and then point our gun at the back of his head once we get there. Or if he refuses, remind him we can just gap him high into the air or inside a fire.

I guess just waiting for an hour wasn't the best solution. But then how far could we have walked in half an hour, without exerting ourselves too much?

You know, you're making him a lot more evil than he probably is. I doubt he has a reason to harm Alice seeing as he has full control over her. Do we really need to be this... threatening?

You mean except for the part where he has this doll he's using to torture Alice into submitting to him? That sounds pretty evil right there.
Chances are "busy" means either "too hurt to speak" or "dead"; I'm currently guessing (and hoping) it's the former instead of the latter.
If I'm right about that, that also means he's lying to us and fucking with us, which in itself is reason to show him his place.
Also, notice how he doesn't even name a price? Means he doesn't actually want us to pay it.
Furthermore, what would you do instead? Just leave him be? That would be the alternative. I don't think Yukari would just take it, especially not from a mere human.

> Speak in an amused tone.
> "I think you're underestimating the value of things I have in my possession, shopkeeper."

Well, negotiation time is pretty much over. Unless someone objects, next would be pulling out that revolver and going "your life should be worth more than enough, right?" and accusing him of lying to us; also, mentioning that we know about that doll and what it does. Instead of pulling the revolver out now, we could also offer him a trip to blazing hell or something similar. Not sure which one would be better; since he's not showing any signs of feeling threatened, it's possible he has something up his sleeve against attacks of ours that he expects (i.e. gaps). Luring him out of the shop might be a good idea, though that would mean other people could see us threatening him, which would be bad.

?: It's also possible he just has a deal with the shrine maiden and is going to threaten us with getting beat up by her.

Once we know that, I'd say we squeeze any other information we might need out of him now, before having him lead us to Alice.
That way, we won't have to do that once we free Alice (meaning she won't have to listen to his voice and she'll be free to beat him to a pulp right away if she can and wants to; which means we won't have to stop or otherwise annoy her).

?: We'll also want to get our hands on that doll.

Well, seems Alice took on that debt because of Reimu. Though Yukari doesn't know that yet.
If Marisa doesn't know what Rinnosuke did to Alice, I think we could let her in on this, i.e. just gap Rinnosuke and us to Marisa once he told us everything we want to know and we have the doll.
If Marisa already knows about it... well, ugh. I hope she doesn't.

Okay, I've watched long enough. We are not going to outright tell Rinnosuke we're going to kill him if he doesn't do what we tell him. It's not Yukari-like at all, and I certainly advise against it. I can roll, some what, with what you've done so far; but I can at least try to get some form of character-ness back, if possible.

In other words...

>instead of the above...

>"Out of the loop? Maybe. After all, I'm sure we've had our own incidents during this time."

>"I do you a favour, like something you need or wanted from somewhere outside of your reach or area, and I take Alice away with me at its conclusion. Surely that's acceptable enough for you; if anything, it beats having to use this thing."

Is this better for you all? I don't want to have to use that thing; and to be fair, I don't think Yukari would like to either. I'm trying to avoid going on the 'Hatate Special with added DEATH' route, simply because enough people have died. Whether Kourin is doing something bad or not, we can avoid killing people; much less demanding he do stuff over said gun.

>"I do you a favour, like something you need or wanted from somewhere outside of your reach or area, and I take Alice away with me at its conclusion. Surely that's acceptable enough for you; if anything, it beats having to use this thing."
>You decide that threatening Rinnosuke isn't getting you anywhere, and try a different approach.
>"I'm still rather curious on what your story is. You are a rather fascinating person, after all."
>"Indeed."
>You relax slightly.
>"It is not my fault if she failed to realize the implications of her agreement."
>"You're the only one here causing unnecessary violence."
>"What brings about this change of heart?"

>"Why I'm charmed. I'm not as fascinating as you make me out to be, however."

>"It's not a case of things being 'violent' until it truly gets out of hand. Surely you know I've annoyed Reimu and co in such a way before; well, minus the gun waving. But you catch my drift, no~ <3"

>"Informing you of my story would certainly grant your attention. However, I would like to know more about the 'implications of her agreement' first. Information for information; that's just as good as anything, no?"

>Wink.

>"And no catching me out by providing the bare minimals, mister. I want to know how she got into this, along with what was agreed and what has happened since. My story would be fine in return."

>"Indeed, you are one that gets what they want."
>"It's better than giving information for nothing in return."
>"A few weeks ago, Alice asked for my assistance in collecting enough funds to make a proper donation to Reimu. She agreed to work for me, and to give me a strand of her hair. I took the necessary precautions to make sure that Alice would keep her end of the deal, and she has been here ever since."

>Frown a little.

>"My, my. Was it really necessary to restrict her so much? Keeping her here 24/7 would drive anyone mad. The child does have a house of her own; one that I'm pretty sure she would like to return to after work."

>"I must admit, it's certainly an efficient way of making sure she works. Though surely you can release that hold on her. The thing is causing a great deal of pain for her."

>"To make the point a little more clearer, how better do you think one would work? In pain? In despair? Perhaps knowing that they still have a place they can go to to rest properly, ready for another day of work in a manner that doesn't resolve being chained to something? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure after what that girl has gone through so far, being allowed out properly without being harmed in such a manner would warrant a work state better then what I saw when I came here before."
