Looks like the server version updated to 1.0.1, to fix connecting issues. I just noticed that on the wiki. The client side, however, remains 1.0.0. Whoo weekly updates. Though I'm happy with this one anyway.

EDIT: Looks like Optifine has updated for 1.0.0, but only the classic version is available as of this post.

People, i need a quick help. My brother has this problem. He has an OS X mac. he said his minecraft was crashing an awful lot. I helped him reinstall it.He logged on onto his account, and it got stuck at "Done Loading". I have literally tried everything, i even tried to delete the java cache files!

Which version of OS X does he have, and what hardware model?

Click the Apple icon on the menu -> About this Mac, and then for hardware click More Info.
I'll probably only need the OS version (eg. 10.7.2) and hardware model number (eg. MacbookPro5,5).

So, here are the pictures of the nether you wanted Shady.

The start looked like this.

So then I dug down, and followed the bottom area. Nothing there either.

It was all created with TNT. As were some other gaps when I was roaming around before getting here.

This Nether has nothing in it, AT ALL! It's solid netherrack everywhere you go. I found the occasional mushroom, but that was pretty much the extent of it. No cave-like areas, just mushrooms in a spot that was like, 3 blocks wide, and netherrack. Most pointless Nether I've ever seen.

So uh, what's going on with the server? It's been down for a while, and I don't know if it's being upgraded yet. (though bukkit isn't ready yet)

I brought the server back up. I'm not sure how it got shut down.. Like I said, we'll inform everyone whenever we do the update... but that all hinges on Bukkit updating.

Recipe for fun:

Two snow blocks
One Jack o' Lantern
One Shovel
One Nether Fortress

1) Stack a snow block on top of another snow block.
2) Put the Jack o' Lantern on top.
3) Push your new friend into a hole where it can't move, jump in with it
4) Farm snowballs until shovel breaks
5) Go to Nether Fortress, hunt Blazes with your massive stock of rapid-fire snowballs

Alternative: Make a bunch of snow golems in a Nether Fortress

I did, however sporadically, until all the updates started coming out. Since they were so frequent, I just decided I'd wait until 1.0 to play again.

Lol zombie dungeon. Chests were pretty decent this time around: 3 string, 2 bread, 11 iron ingots, 1 bucket, 1 wheat, and 1 saddle in total. Not bad.
On 1.8.1 btw, using the seed posted earlier: 292202, just to see what 1.8.1 would generate compared to 1.0.0.

I've been watching very attentively their twitter status to see if they've released it. They're still in the process of fixing a never ending amount few bugs. Since one of their people's HDD death, their bug checker has been lost, so they're doing it all by scratch. Hopefully, they'll get it cleared up in the next few weeks. I don't see it coming out very quickly.

After that I started a new world which is my current, spawn is in a big-ass swamp, and south of it there's an amazing desert with villages and an area with big-ass vertical cliffs and rivers with dark areas full of mobs in broad daylight and stuff. I really like this world.

This sounds like my world that I started. What seed did you use? Also, do you have a very very big ocean to the north of your spawn point?

It's seed 116016203361412632. Also no. It does have some sea northwards, and then some forest area, but I didn't go north yet to take a look at that. To the east, however, is pura ocean as far as I can tell.

Oh, and this is assuming the sun still rising in the north, since I started this world on 1.8(I think), and after 1.9p4 they supposedly fixed that.
