>Are they in braziers? Wall sconces? Stands? Just floating in midair? Is the castle on fire?
>Regardless, examine the flames, and head further in if nothing odd starts happening. Keep an eye out for the Evil Lord.
>Mentally review the procedures for a german suplex.

>_
> try to acquire fire, as did Man acquired fire from Perseus.

> proceed on forwards, where there be fire, there must be something to deal with.

>Upon closer inspection the first flames you saw were in braziers, while the further you got down until the flames turned entirely blue, they started to be just floating there.
>The flames do seem magical, but then really it seems it's all coming from a specific point, so no being able to absorb this.
>As you continue onward, you make sure how to do a German Suplex.
>You try to acquire the flame but then the braziers are attached to the wall and the floating flames you can't touch directly, they just move out of the way.
>As you continue onward you see a rather nice carpet appear on the floor leading up to a throne, with a dark, cloaked figure sitting right on it. You can see tendrils seeping out from under the cloak, unable to define their forms.
>All you can see from the figure of darkness is a pair of glaring eyes, looking straight at you.

>You talk to the Evil Lord, you here a mild breathing coming from him.
>"Why, yes I am the Evil Lord of this castle, what brings you to here of all places?"
>You try to guess how strong this guy is but then you really don't have anything to go off of other than looks, and even with that you can't tell just how strong this guy is.

>"I'm curious, really. You call yourself an Evil Lord, and this makes me wonder why. I mean, most people don't think of themselves as evil. Even if they do things that are objectively wrong, they tend to feel they're justified about it rather than just outright calling themselves evil. They had no choice, the circumstances demanded, it, so on. So, what makes you different? Oh, I'm Hero by the way."

>The Evil Lord rises from his throne
>"Well, the whole "Evil Lord" name is more or less a title than an actual word that describes my intetions, I mean a few countries to the west there's that one Evil Lord who really is a rather nice guy, just that you don't want to take his girl friend otherwise he just goes insane."
>He then walks up to you, he still looks like a shadowy figured in a dark cloak, and he extends out his hand to greet you.
>"Nice to meet you Hero, my name is Ereraba, my hobbies include chess playing, and reading poetry."

>He gently grasps your hand, giving you a firm, but not too hard of a handshake.
>"Ah, well last time I remember hearing something about someone named Hero and that person siding with the Time Goddess he was just slaying Evil Lords who were siding with Noire, who last time I checked kinda got killed a few years ago. "I personally remained neutral since I wasn't one too focused on violence, I just sorta enjoyed the darker look of things inside one of these castles. Currently I haven't been doing anything, just handling the usual fees and such of owning a castle, which isn't too hard with the reserve of treasure I have along with my savings."

>"I have no clue really, I only started getting letters about, half a year after Noire bit the dust, I haven't really paid any attention to these guys, they actually seem rather self sufficient, at least it seems like it due to not seeing any large amount of supplies enter their base thingy towards the south."

>"So, South? Wouldn't be a problem if I went and suplexed them into submission, would it?"
>"Oh, also! You say you have a lot of money laying around? You should make it work for you, rather than just moldering in a vault. With a little help from me, you could have it generating income for you just by the fact it exists. Then you wouldn't even have to drain your savings to maintain this place, you could just let the interest take care of you and keep the principal intact. All it will cost you is your choice of a fixed starter fee, or a percentage of the interest, and that's it!"

> Wonder if he qualifies as an Evil Lord merely due to his appearance and castle.
>Check out the throne.

>You ponder the thought of that is he only an Evil Lord due to the castle and his looks.
>You then go over to search the throne, it has a nice dark green cushion as the seat, the arm rest and backing look like they're formed out of either silver or some sort of white gold. Overall it looks like a really damn nice place to sit, you even notice he has a side pocket on the throne for a remote, though the remote itself looks like it's currently missing.
