...I actually find him to be pretty fun, but I can't get to him with any more than Cyan Power because the stage is a broken piece of shit. I'm really tempted just to make a savestate at Sigma.

Yet another MS Lunatic failure... Stage 5 is so frustrating. The only really difficult parts in the whole stage are pretty much Yumeko's streaming arrows/lasers, but those by themselves usually take two lives at least. Same thing for Shinki's cheeto lasers and Devil's Recitation.

This. Youmu's first and final cards have 0% capture rates for me on Normal and above... Repository of Hirokawa is the only PCB card I've never captured on Easy as well...

I repeat: I don't see how cheeto lasers are such a run breaker. They USED to give me as much trouble as anyone else, but during my original lunatic grind (which oh wow now that I think about it was 11 months ago where has the time gone) I took a failed run and just spent some time timing it out and have had little trouble with them ever since. It's all a matter of misdirecting them. Devil's Recitation is more tense than anything, but remember that the purple bullets Shinki fires are kind of like prototypical bubble bullets in that they have a smaller hitbox than they appear to have.

Youmu is up there with Orin at hardest 5th stage boss...

I can't capture any of their cards, but AT LEAST Orin only requires one bomb per card, where Youmu sometimes takes two and even three bombs to clear some cards...

Hit by a slow bullet! Random bomb on an easily avoidable attack! Moved into a bullet during "BoWaP" due to miscalculation!

Definitely worse than MS Stage 4, which looks ok. If you have trouble seeing the bullets, something is clearly wrong with your eyes, because I can see them perfectly fine.

Also, I have reached Suika on IaMP hard (Yukari's 6b breaks the AI's charging pattern

) with only one death on Yuyuko's BS second spell card. Posting this prematurely because I KNOW I'm going to lose it all on either Supermassive Conflageration or Pandemonium.

First off, tHRtP is one of the worst games in the universe. It really is. I don't care. It is, in fact, that bad.

Second: MS Lunatic REALLY needs to let me bomb before we can get anywhere. Also, WOW. Even with bombing, I probably wouldn't have made it to Yumeko, though it was a cruddy run. That said, lost my last continue on OHGODTHEREARETHREEOFTHEM cheeto lasers...those are going to take some learnin'.

I have a new challenge for myself! Beat UFO extra with all shot types! I've beaten it with Reimu A, Marisa A, and Sanae B before, and I've tried with Sanae A. Is it just me, or does Sanae's hitbox...gravitate towards bullets? Also no amount of hard data will convince me her focus speed is the same as Reimu's, it simply feels faster. The farthest I can with reach with sucky Sanae A (seriously you guys thought this was the shot type to use in the demo WTF) is Rainbow UFOs.

Pfft, get used to it. For starters, Sanae's hitbox is positioned slightly differently in regards to the actual character sprite. The specifics of that I'm not going to get to. The second thing you need to remember is that Reimu has a smaller hitbox. All this "bullet gravitation towards the bullets" nonsense is either stemming from you suffering from "Reimu Hax" Syndrome or just the awkward positioning of the hitbox as I've said in the first point.

There's a reason why I always use the character with the smallest hitbox.

Another shot type would have to REALLY have something good to offer to convince me to take the larger hitbox.
