Game overed on Yuka's final phase.  11 deaths, 28 bombs.  The three lost bombs?  One to Marisa...two to Yuka's first phase.

Trying to beat my own UFO Extra highscore with ReimuA(263m)
I can beat the stage without red UFOs just fine, but I just CAN'T beat my own score, even though I haven't used any blue ones on that one.....

It was the red and blue one that killed me - twice - because I used my first bomb on each life for the first two parts of the phase.  I can do a lot of Stage 6 Yuka (perfect Galaxy in a Pot-esque phase, which is super-easy, and Double Spark, which is not), but not her first and not at ALL her last.

2-4 bombs is enough for the First Phase. Really, I used 2 with Marisa for most of my 1cc's (yes, I have several oddly enough) and 3 with Reimu.
SA S5 Lunatic, 1DNB. I really, really hate the Post-Mid-Boss crap.

I would pay money to see a video of her final attack beaten on lunatic without bombing or dying. The fact that PC-98 emulators have save states makes this realistic. Maybe I'll try it when I'm not too lazy to actually get there~

Does not compute. If Anex86 had savestates I'd have already made myself rudimentary stage practice savestates.

In T98-Next, you know how you hit F12-F10 in order to go into fullscreen?

Well, do F11-F# to save a state to whichever number. Then use F12-F# to load it.

I've never actually used it since it feels like cheating, which would make me go emo-cutter. TASing in Stage Practice with it seems non-evil enough though, so I should do that. I dunno if Anex has save states.

Also, there is a Save tab in the main window. You can use that to save/load the 8 spots as well.

Now I feel incredibly happy that I did something significant that few others else seem to have done~ Never that I'd accomplish that.

Not wanting to replay the whole game just for one shot at an attack that learning how to dodge may improve your performance significantly (YUKA'S FIRST PHAAAAAASE. THREE BOMBS TO KILL WITH REIMU AAAAAAAAAA) is cheating? IMO it's not cheating unless you savestate scum to 1cc the game.

Uh, I've already found out that the Yellow Rings of Death is pseudo-static. I've also calculated all the openings for it, months ago.

Still, it'll make all accomplishments from now on seem like they were cheated for. Hence! My PoDD Lunatic 1cc (if it ever comes) will be in video format.

If you take the standard format of Extra, then no. Because Extra goes from start to finish. However...

Funny you should mention those.  They just killed me three times.  I just lost SEVEN GODDAMN BOMBS on those.

I'm bombspamming the hell out of that phase, screw it.  But I'm not cheating!

I'm not saying that I did. It was a hypothetical situation. :x I can usually clear that phase with about 2 bombs, it's not that bad, just awkward.

However, THE ICE MIRROR PHASE OF BULLSHIT is another story. Oh and the unpredictable purple lasers.

Going for a no deaths.
Died on her FIRST NONCARD. Cool. Let's continue. Bombed Blue UFO 2 times. I swear, this is the hardest UFO card she has.
Bubble death. Got walled.
Rainbow UFO captured.
Had to bomb Grudge Bow second phase because it was too dense.
And then died without bombs just as she died.

If I wouldn't clip the nonspells and Blue UFO was a bit nicer, I would pull it off easily....but no, Blue UFO has to be bullshit all the time.

Gah. Extra midboss Sanae turns into an absolute rape machine when you try to beat her no focus, especially Miracle Fruit. Then again... so does Koishi. I failed Danmaku Paranoia for the first time ever today. :V

EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that the most difficult cards in the stage will be Release of the Id and Superego. Damned random gaps and strange hitboxes... argh.

No matter what I do, I can never capture Possessed by Phoenix. Even using the circle strategy, the second phase almost always kills me. Also, I hate Phoenix's Tail. It hurts my eyes.

I was SO CLOSE to that clear. No deaths on the stage... one very stupid death to Danmaku Paranoia (first time I've ever been killed by the purple bullets). Two deaths to Release of the Id... thankfully Superego went down with only a single bomb. Capped Youkai Polygraph, died while TRYING TO BOMB on Rorschach (I swear it's not registering a bomb input if I hold down + left/right + shoot and then press bomb...). I then capped Embers of Love and managed a one-bomb timeout of Genetics (it moves a lot more slowly than I remember...). I then clear the first two phases of Philosophy without a problem, only to die stupidly due to panicking on the last phase. Finally, I got murdered by the second phase of Subterranean Rose... that just flew at me way too fast for me to make accurate unfocused movements.

Oh well, I guess. My no focus clear can't be too far off, at any rate...

Ehh... it's a good idea and it'd make things easier. Thing is, though, the point of no focus is to make things harder. Timing it out would just feel like a bit of a cop-out - it's supposed to be an impressive and difficult run so I don't want to be cutting corners like that.

Gah. I was sick of failing against Possessed by Phoenix so I tried PCB Phantasm. I was doing better than I had ever done in Phantasm before until I got to Boundary of Humans and Youkai, where I did horrible and died. Why do I suck at survival cards?

Game over at Yuka's final LOLWALLS. If I could stop bombing Kurumi twice, dying with bombs in stock to Marisa regularly and always entering stage 6 at 0/2 it would be wonderful.

Also, dying with one bomb in stock by ramming a stray bullet during stage 4 while trying to catch a bomb drop I noticed too late, which I had pretty much zero chance of catching with Reimu's speed from my position anyway =  :V



THIS IS UNPRECEDENT SERIOUS EDIT:

PoDD lunatic, story mode. Playing as Reimu.

Got past stage 7 for the fist time.
No lives left because Mima is a bitch, twice as much when you meet her in stage 7. Three lives lost there.

Beat Chiyuri first try despite her opening a can of whoopass on me during the final seconds, bringing me from full health to almost dead without a chance to react.

Got Yumemi down to half a heart.
