MS Hard.  Everything is going great until I somehow clip one of Alice's LOLEASY phases.  4 bombs gone.

Horrible clipdeath on Stage 4, get to Yuki and Mai 3/2.

DESPITE SHOTGUNNING YUKI, I SOMEHOW END UP KILLING MAI FIRST.

Clipdeaths all over the place.  I didn't even get through Yuki.

The activation frame is like 1/10 of a second, so you don't even hear the hit sound and it already turns into a deathbomb.
Means that I've wasted 3 bombs like 5 times.

And freaking Reisen. She's super easy, but for some unknown reason I clip her final, losing 2 bombs, then deathbombing 2 times on stage 6.

I probably shouldn't expect a 1cc when I enter stage 5 with 1 life. Keine and Marisa....I can't capture anything.

Are you playing on lunatic? if so, that's a good enough reason to fail reisen, if not...just blame it all on your eyes getting tricked.

I have no problems with her(lost 1 life total), I've just somehow lost my focus and went straight into a bullet.

Alice and Meiling are MUCH easier than Nitori...

Nitori has one hard card (midboss card) in a game where you have practically infinite bombs.

Alice has a mid-boss non-card that's stupidly hard and bulletfest spellcards in a game where bombs are the most precious thing after lives.

Well, card capturing wise, MoF is harder than both EoSD and PCB. At least on Hard.
MoF was still the first Hard game i cleared though, and I can't get to stage 6 neither on PCB or EoSD. I just think they're easier because I can capture nearly all cards.
I also have played MoF Hard well over 300 400 times before finishing it, so maybe it was just because i tried so hard that I did it first.

Nitori mid-boss card is not her worst.. I have about 12/80 on it.
It's first boss card is one of the hardest imo.. my record is around 2/80.. where her second and third cards have around 20/80 capture rate

Agreed, I can deal with her midboss card and Kappa's Flash Flood no problem (100% capture rate on the former), but I always bomb/die to Extending Arm, and her first card is hit-or-miss.

Speaking of MoF Hard rage, Autumn Sky and a Maiden's Heart has been the source of many ragequits.

It's the reason I only reach stage 2, 1 on every 20 attempts =P

Stage 5 entered with 1 life.
If I can beat Tewi, I can clear stage 5 with 1 life lost.

You are exactly like me; when I first started playing, Wriggle and Mystia were easy; Then Keine raped me. Once I got past her, Marisa wasn't so bad, but Tewi and Reisen.......dear god, I hate those bunny-bitches.

BOMB IT! There's absolutely no reason not to reach stage 3 almost every single time. If you fail it's because you fucked up (clipdeath etc). As long as you don't die before stage 4, it's very easy to reach 150 million points before stage 6.

All that capturing Autumn Sky can ever do is give you points, and allow you to reach stage 2 with 5.00 instead of 3.xx power, and you get a big point item before midboss Hina and another after her, so it's completely pointless.

Find the spellcards you have trouble with, and bomb them. You should know which ones to try capturing in the first three stages. Personnally, I often bombed Autumn Sky, everything Hina has except Lady Ohgane Fire (I capture non-spells though), everything Nitori has except her first boss spellcard (again capturing her non-spells), and that was enough to reach Stage 4 at 1.00 power most of the time, no deaths.

Seriously it's the last 3 stages you need to be good at for a 1cc, not the first 3, so give yourself a fair margin of error to at least reach them with a decent enough amount of lives.

Why is it that I always die twice on alice's second phase at the VERY beginning of it then perfect it after those two deaths? It's fairly obvious that I know how to do it but... >_>

Well, there goes my LLS Extra 1LC.

1 bomb for score, another on Mugetu's 2nd phase because it threw a nice wall at the start.

Also, video lag while recording, which I believe is stemming from a higher resolution.

So today I try a 1cc of UFO Normal.  It failed.  I went into Stage 4 with something like 5 or 6 lives.  I didn't even get past Murmasa's 2nd nonspell.  What a failure I am

So in an EoSD run today, I attempted graze-whoring Sakuya's midboss nonspell, but ended up dying twice because I suck.  Despite those deaths however, when I got to Sakuya (not but 30 seconds later), the rank was maxed.  Really.  Like, the nonspells were moving at maxrank speeds and Killing Doll reached down to the bottom of the screen and everything.  The fact that the rank went up so fast seems kind of strange.  It kind of makes me wonder if there are things other than dying/gaining lives that can affect rank, like maybe graze-count or capturing spellcards for instance.

Edit:  Oh, and I also got about a millimeter of life away from my second Meister capture (in stage practice).  I sort of want to get it again, if only so I don't feel bad about that underwhelming first time...

My PoFV woes continue: just blew 5 lives against Shikieiki twice in a row with Reimu.

Also, it wasn't until today that I realized you can bomb instantly at the expense of all your current gauge. *headdesk*, ⑨, watch more replays, etc.

I agree about Normal mode, but the majority of Easy mode is pretty trivial IMO... Or maybe that's just once you've been trying to do Normal for a while >.< Byakuren is tougher than the entire rest of the game on Easy actually I'd say. That's right, even Shou wasn't a problem... Then again, that might have been because I've been doing tougher versions of all the stage 1-5 spells, so the easy version is pathetic when using the same strategy XD ...Kogasa's final spell is one of the toughest in the game on Easy mode though <.<;

UFO's just odd. I really didn't expect as many issues as I have with stage 3. When I got to it, though, it was like I realized just how little space I had to move.

That and huge giant fists are freaking huge geez. '__' Makes me wonder if ZUN had IN in mind when he made UFO.

EoSD was my first Hard 1cc.....which girl are you using? Some cards might be harder than others, especially on Patchouli.

But yeah, stage 4 is the hardest one IMO.

I've been trying UFO normal this entire day (didn't quit just kept continueing and left my laptop on). And I am just so freaking stuck on Byakuren. I just can't do it, either my stage goes perfect and I die to something I shouldn't. Or some other crap happens like being hit by one of those pink balls with their hitboxes the size of elephants.
You just simply can't do anything wrong, not a single thing. you have to get max lives and bombs and use them all or you won't make it.

Best try was about 6 seconds left till she dies, I feel like quitting like a big loser

Hint hint, Marisa A kills bosses even faster even if you don't hit nearly as often (and chews through them if you manage to stay in place). Stages become a bit trickier but since most of the hard parts are hard due to either nerve-wracking streaming or things you can't shoot away anyway, I find Marisa A to be very superior. Just watch out against Patchy as some of her cards tend to push Marisa away from under her. Sakuya on the other hand gives you a lot of time between attacks for you to absolutely DESTROY her pitiful lifebars.
