So much for my dreams of a Lunatic 1cc, huh? I guess playing TD hurts my UFO skills a wee bit. That and playing other games that aren't Touhou. Still haven't cleared Futari no continues...

Man, Aya is doing her best to be a dick to me. Playing against her with ReimuA really gives her an opportunity to be mean with her first card. That came completely unexpected since that attack is completely trivial to me normally. Then goes her second spell that I didn't manage to get one capture of over the course of 4 runs. I mean, wtf? I haven't played Touhou for a long while which might have something to do with it but I did play for around 20-30 minutes yesterday and I was better then.

Oh and I somehow managed to fuck up all four times at Terukuni. Something that I never fuck up at. It must be the foreign shot type curse. (Even if there is no reason why ReimuA would handicap me. Let's just say its a curse and it doesn't need to make sense.)

Oh and ReimuA is not powerful enough to make my stage strategy work as effectively.

Try Reimu C. She's not too powerful but she deals near-constant damage due to high spread. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have 1cc'd Mountain of Faith on Normal. I don't like Reimu B because the stages are the parts of the game that tend to be more pains in the ass than the bosses in MoF, obviously excluding Extra and Stage 6 from this rule.

Miko's normal spells, in (subjective) order of difficulty:
5th (hate me if you want to)
2nd (shiny.)
4th (run in circles)
1st (bullets fade before they become a serious threat-and they're slow)
7th (this is down here because of the transition phase-it's really easy to NDNB due to trancing the transition)
3rd (HOW is this easy??)
6th (Like the first, but with lasers restricting movement and the bullets. Don't. Go. Away.

Oh her 3rd card, the first two waves are easy to dodge. 6 arrows is also ok to dodge. If you make the card last until they are fireing 7, it gets tricky, because you have to squeeze between the arrows, or move very far away. 8 arrows per segement probobly means you're going for a Timeout [Which I've suceeded in on spell practise. You squeeze between the arrows]

That said, I'm actually pretty good at sqeezeing between Arrow danmaku. It's how I handle Futo's 2nd and 3rd nonspells, I find them so much easier when I can stay focus, instead of going focus-> unfocus.

I normally use ReimuB actually. The only shot type that can kill things reliably fast. Besides, on Lunatic the bosses are certainly the hardest part of the game.

Agreed-I worked out stage paths for ReimuB after testing with ReimuA (who I got my first hard 1cc with) and 1cced it with ReimuB. Later went and cleared with ReimuA though just because I got better at the bosses.

I think the fairy they're talking about is randomized. The IN one is always the same though.

But neither of them deserve the title of "Death Fairy" as far as I'm concerned. The real Death Fairy is the one that tries to fly into you on midboss Nue.

Well it happened to me few times. It's not really hard to prevent when I remember that it exists. Also takes two lives when it hits you, which is fun on the last wave after you dodged all the bullets.

Ah that Midboss Nue. For a while there, i thought you were talking about TD Extra. Heh. Yeah, nothing threatening about that stage.

Oh and now that I'm here. Bloody hell, Byakuren is being mean to me. Why can I not capture Superhuman any longer? Man, that sucks. I can accept things like LFO and Great Recitation because they are some hardass bitches but Superhuman? That just boils down to flying straight into slow bullets.

The bright side of it is that I'm seeing improved capture rates of Good Omen and her 2nd non-spell. I don't know how much practice is gonna be needed before I can call myself any kind of competent at LFO though. And for Great Recitation. I'd wish I could stop making stupid as fuck mistakes. Everytime I die, its something that could easily have been avoided but I just somehow fail to do most of the time.

Three deaths on Byakuren were on her second non, Milky Way and Superhuman. Last two deaths shouldn't've happened. Purple Mist was particularly shitty too and I still managed a cap, must've got overconfident. Fucks sake.

Apparantly I need to start playing at 90fps. Then maybe someday I can rage about perfecting all of SA except for Yuugi's first spell.
