Ah, just 1-deathed stage 4. The death was to Terrifying Hypnotism of course. Not sure if I can capture that in an actual run, or if I can go into stage 4 at full power for that matter (I'm thinking no). I guess I'll go get my ass kicked by Orin now. :ohdear:

Just ried 90 fps fore the first time. Was epic fun. also 1cc'd IN normal on my first shot using 90 fps. Not exactly the prettiest run through it but I'll take it for a 90 1cc. (also came close to capping Kaguya's 3rd extra spell at 90 but got killed a 00 seconds left....)

Also, my history is something like 0/4, when 3 of those were in 1cc attempts, one of which cleared, and the other bombed the opening wave a dodged the rest...

Anyway, MoF hard 1cc, with ReimuC. It's a terrible terrible run, with 0 deathbombs, until I got my act together on VoWG and deathbombed 3 times out of 5 bombs. What.

Always had trouble with that spellcard as well (even with the normal and hard version). Then I did a no focus timeout of SFN: gawd I used to have trouble with this card? So if you want to train it you could do the same.
So slow, so much space to move in ... no ninja bullets (the mere memory ... it's all right, they are not here, none, no bullets, no ninjas, not here, not here, not here, ...). Thinking about it, did Seppo Hovi complete his no focus timeout with Youmu? Haven't been keeping up.

I've been lazy... strangely enough this always happens when I try to do something in EoSD - I seem to sense a pattern (out of 8 lunatic 1cc attempts five failed at Scarlet Gensokyo + the general 'quality' of EoSD = ouch, motivation where hast thou gone?). *sigh*

No, I have not. I've got up to three seconds of the card left for about a dozen of times now.

But I don't really have time to practice the card anymore. I run trough it two-three times a day nowdays, not really pushing towards the achievement. I quess Underscore will get it before me, he's about 1300 attempts behind me and has got to the three-second mark of DOOM (And butterflies. Don't forget the butterflies.) way more often than I have.

Have an image from my school's computer's score.dat. It's not comparable to the amount of tries I have at my home computer, but it's quite comedic anyway.

While I have no idea how fast the other people around cleared lunatic modes, it took almost one and half years from me to do it with my first Lunatic 1CC. So, yeah, I don't think there are many people better than you, at least not if you keep getting better and better this fast.

It took me a long while before I claimed my first Lunatic clear too. However, I don't think that has anything to do with skill but rather how much time it took for you to accumulate the skill. Keep in mind that there are various factors that can influence this. Being skilled is more the kind of results you can produce, how high a score you can collect, the insanity of the accomplishments you can pull off etc.

EDIT: A few more Fairy Wars runs today and another Gold Medal has been claimed. Sprinkle Piece I think its name is. The 2nd card Star uses. I still haven't managed her first. Its some sort of split attention thing that I'm usually pretty bad at. Though its not as bad as Doom's 2nd phase so I'm pretty close to Gold'ing it.

Also, a fun fact. I've 1cc'd Fairy Wars 75 times. Wtf?

My first lunatic 1cc was Imperishable Night and took me about 5 months from when I started.
5 months later and I'm still missing 4 of them (not counting PC-98)
Of course, the first 2 months were spent almost exclusively in IN spell practice because I got a score.dat with most of the stuff unlocked already-after 1ccing easy mode with max lives in ~5 tries.

On the subject of easy mode, a friend of mine who's started about when I did but doesn't play seriously has finally notched the achievement of a 1cc-IN on easy, Ghost Team, max lives. Ended with a bomb, 3 or 4 lives going into Kaguya (when an earlier run had 8 lives and failed to Rainbow Danmaku)

While we're on this subject... Took me 6 months for my first Lunatic 1cc in SA. About 5 months after (aka now) I'd done all of them, including PC-98. So yeah, 4 months seems like it's pretty fast. :derp:

As for an actual accomplishment, I perfected SA stage 2 at 90fps, and also no-deathed stage 3. I think I can see this 1cc happening, as long as I don't screw up during the run. Orin's still a nightmare, but Okuu is surprisingly possible. I've actually captured Hell's Tokamak and Sub Sun in practice mode.

Still on subject. My first shot at lunatic anything was IN. All I care was I beat it (given it wasn't 1cc but still). Marisa eats the majority of my lives so this may stop my from the 1cc but oh well.

IN side note: Just capped Fire Bird Pheonix and Xu Fu's DImension at 120 fps.

My first bombfest MoF Lunatic happened 4 months in, after that I get one Windows game every month, with UFO, the last, being 6.5 months after MoF (the gap felt like an eternity though, I always thought two years must have lasted since then !)
... And apparently I didn't play anything for one whole year after that (except for a few hours of GFW when it came out) :V

Took me three days or so to clear EoSD normal (as in, using all continues), a week to 1cc it, a month to clear my first extra, five months to clear my first hard, seven months to clear my first lunatic (though it was on max lives), and eleven months to clear my first lunatic on default lives.

IN lunatic-I cleared it without any strategies from other people.
Same for Mountain of Faith (notable in 1 part of Stage 2 and the beginning of Stage 3-I've never seen anyone stream those parts vertically)
and PCB.
and EoSD.
and PoFV.
In general I like coming up with my own strategies, but I know when that's never going to work and ask for help in that case.

While doing a random phantasm run, I somehow managed to clear the part with a bunch of fairies spamming a few blue larger bullets and a ton of smaller yellow bullets everywhere part while completely unfocused. It's likely not that big of a deal, but it did look pretty impressive.

It's probably not as weird as you think; I just don't post all my captures of the cards x3. I've unlocked all of them except Yukari's, Remilia's, Marisa's and Alice's. The only one I haven't captured out of those is Total Purification.

But I came here to say that I unlocked and captured Saigyouji Flawless Nirvana. Fun card.

I'm very worried about getting Marisa's unlocked, considering how long it's taken me to 1cc Hard on other games in the past. And with Reimu Solo, one of the weakest shot types. Remilia's will probably come next since I have more Last Spells to capture now I've played through Lunatic.

yeah, going through Lunatic does help the amount of last spells available a LOT (even mor helpful if 1cc because opf all of kaguya's spells.)

Decided to give Route A1 a break for now to experience something different so I went into A2 territory. A route that doesn't seem to have as many awesome cards for me to play with. Prism Flash, seriously? ZUN expect you to no-ice this? Right now, I can't see any way that would possible without luck though maybe you could do it with better skills than mine, idk. I won't attempt it seriously unless someone can demonstrate it. Which I doubt will happen.

Diamond Ring seems to involve some walls that based on RNG can screw you over really badly. Or at least that's what happened to me. The third one, Blue Deflection, involves purple fireballs and blue bullets. I think this one can be handled through some epic Cave-style misdirection so I'll try for that. Sapphire's midboss card seems like her traditional QED-esque non-spells with aimed lasers. Got pretty close to golding it but failed. As for the boss of Stage 3... Can't say I'm a fan. They've got this Meteor attack thing that looks like I just need to be lucky that they don't shove something into me while trying to head around them. Ice Dissolver. Seems okay but has raped me pretty hard so far. But then I saw this Formless God video on Lunatic where he Golded it and I figured that I can do that too. Orion Belt. Fuck that noise.

So this route doesn't have as many awesome cards as Route A1 but Sapphire's take on Three Fairies is fucking amazing. I'm gonna head over there and play it again right now!

EDIT: Got Ice Dissolver. Not that hard once I approached it right.
