NOTICE! This is a
Whitelisted server! That means you cannot join unless I've added you to our Whitelist. If you'd like to request access, simply PM me or Dr. Strafe (
remember to give us your Minecraft username!!). Note that this means you must be a member of MotK to join; if you've obviously only joined the forum to get access to the server, then I'll likely deny the request. This is due to griefing problems we've had with outsiders in the past. Sorry!
Current plugins in use:
Permissions: Controls access to other plugins.
LogBlock: Logs all changes to blocks and chests. Anti-griefing tool.
LWC (Lightweight Chest Protection): Allows you to lock your chests, furnaces, doors, etc to stop people from looting your stuff.
Essentials: Provides various utility commands to players and ops.
Multiverse: Allows us to have more than one map. Put in
/warp world2 to go to the world2 spawn.
WorldEdit: Allows ops to make large-scale edits to the map. Contact us if you'd like to make a request, but you'd better have a good reason!
WorldGuard: Provides various protections to players and the map if necessary. Currently not in use, except for Pumpkin Scuba, which prevents drowning damage if you're wearing a pumpkin helmet!
dynmap: Enables the Live Map linked above.
ServerEvents: Broadcasts fun messages when a player dies.
SheepFeed: Feed a sheep bread to regrow it's wool! It can only regrow natural colors.
NoOrbs: You don't drop experience orbs when you die, preventing the lag caused by it.
NoEnderman: Endermen do not pick up blocks. (This will be removed once Endermen are adjusted in 1.9.)
CustomCrafting: Enables some custom recipes. See
this post for details.
Some useful commands:
/list - see who's online!
/spawn - teleport back to spawn.
/warp world2 - go to world 2.
/sethome - sets your home warp point at your current position.
/home - teleports you back to your home warp point.
/cprivate - enter this and then click a chest (or other object you would like secured) to lock it, meaning only you can access it's contents.
Rules:
This is a friendly community!
- No killing other players.
- No breaking, altering, or otherwise messing with other players' stuff.
- No stealing from other players.
Suggestions:
- Be wary of Creepers around people's structures. If some damage occurs, please do your best to repair it.
- Put up signs! Name your buildings and let people know who made them. It's fun!
Alright folks, server's back up. I've upgraded to the latest versions of each plugin (except Permissions, because newer versions won't work) and completely cleared the old world data. If anything was corrupted it should be fixed now, and hopefully this will end our crashing problems.
Obviously, we are no longer using Phoenix Terrain Mod. You can now take it easy and build on some nice flat continents.
An important change is that we are now using CommandBook + MyHome + MyWarp instead of Essentials. This is due to a supposed incompatibility with WorldEdit. The only real change you'll likely notice is the syntax for /sethome, which is now /home set. Note: the command will tell you you can invite people to your home, because MyHome normally allows you to warp to other people's homes, but this function has been disabled.
You also have access to /warp but no warp points are created as of this post.
Strafe will be working on importing structures from the previous world you would like to have, or in fact any world before it. Simply scout a site for your structure and inform him that you've found a spot for it. Please be patient, as this means Strafe will be very very busy the next few days.
Hina willing, this will be the last time we have to create a new world. Once 1.8 hits, we will install the Multiverse mod and generate a different world with it while retaining this world as the main one.
