>Maybe we could just ask Yuyuko if she can seperate herself from the tree to accompany us and rejoin it later. She doesn't have to know that we wouldn't let her go back to it.
>Based on our previous relationship with Yuyuko, do we think we could tell such a lie in a way so that Yuyuko would believe it? Or do we think she'd see through it no matter how we told it?

>Well, the dagger didn't help in that department... understandably. Angering it may be dangerous for Youmu...
>"I assume you didn't discuss this with Yuyuko before she was joined with the tree?"
>You wonder why the knife causes the tree to react in that way. Regardless, you worry about what might happen to Youmu if the tree were to release another wave like the one before.
>"Well... I tried..."
>"She would be spending most of her time with the tree, and something about her seemed strange... I couldn't really approach her..."

>Maybe we could just ask Yuyuko if she can seperate herself from the tree to accompany us and rejoin it later. She doesn't have to know that we wouldn't let her go back to it.

>Could you?
>Can you tell such a lie? The two of you have known each other for a rather long time, you would have to put on a very convincing act.

Ok, so are we going back to the tree for a chat?

Leaving this open for discussion, of course.

Damnit I left this hanging too long.

>You nod to Youmu. "Okay... I'll wait here then..."
>You head off towards the Saigyou Ayakashi once more, taking another look at the tree as you get closer.
>It looks like most other cherry trees, except far larger in scale. It also currently has a rather large hole in its trunk, from which several vines connected to Yuyuko are coming out.
>Yuyuko gives you a puzzled look as you return.
>"Oh? I thought you said that you'd be bringing Youmu."

I'm fairly certain it's not the weapon that bugged the tree, but rather the specific dagger that had been used to seal it.
I very much doubt this is going to end well. W/e, do what you think is going to work.

Yukari is known for not telling the truth all the time.
Plus, we've left this alone long enough. If we don't do something, we'll probably continue going back and forth. And I, for one, would like to move on with this.

It may end badly... But we aren't going to find out by just sitting here and thinking about it.

If all else fails, we probably have a gap ready to retrieve weapons if need be; I do think of these things, you know. ^^
No, we don't. We don't! That's, like, the main reason we're doing this first.

?: Don't remove things I quote. :V
Seriously, I don't think leaving the weapons behind will help us. If anything, it's going to hurt us. Unless you think Youmu might turn against us.

>Let her walk forward first, before quickly picking up her Roukan blade; just the one sword.

[More to your taste, Omba? This way, we have at least one sword we can hand to Youmu. And yes, I did think that too.]
