Yeah, so as I mentioned earlier, I decided to make a version 2 pillow, hopefully using the experience gained from the last pillow to streamline and improve the workflow from the first pillow.

This time, the pattern is one sheet. Decided this time I was gonna spend much more time aligning the pattern. Figured I'll draw the seam allowance on later. (In hindsight, this was a bad idea. Wasted much more time measuring the stupid 1/2 inch border, and then drawing that in.
Girls are now cutting....

Girls are now taping....

Using a ruler this time to make sure I tape it right.

Marking where to cut and sew on the fabric...

Actually remembered to flip over the pattern when tracing to make sure I don't have markings on the "good" side...

Girls are now cutting...

Hmm... hands are starting to get infected by the marker virus :V

White pattern time ^_^

Trying a new technique where I pre-sew before I sew :smokedcheese:

It wasn't very effective...

State of my hands now :V

Hum, these lack of properly measured seamallowances are distorting the final result X_X

Decided to deal with it and keep going and see.

GET IN MAH BELLY!
Hummm, first 3 corners look acceptable...

4th corner (upper right) isn't lined up right, the sewing machine must have kept on pushing a bit of extra fabric all the way around... I should have made alignment marks on the seamallowances since the lack of corners is really making it hard to tell where one part begins and ends.

Yay, one side done!
RANDOM SIDETRACK: Decided to take some scrap red fabric and stuff it in the prop camera lens area that I'm planning to use with my Aya Shameimaru cosplay. (the camera is nonfuctional)

Now for the other side... ~1.5 weeks later (stupid job eating up all my free time). Now I have alignments marks

Dohhhhhh... FAIL.

I could flip it over. But it appears on this non-pilling fabric that one side is fluffier/smoother then the other side T.T
Decided to try and sew from the middle part this time instead from inside-out. Taking my sew-before-you-sew technique to the next level! Handsewing like a bawse!

Oh hey, this technique makes some pretty good corners! 2 more corners to go before I see if they all line up.
