>Shift aside from the attack, and keep our distance. Let's get a gauge of her speed and followthrough.
>If she threatens too close, use our trident to redirect her sword aside

>You move away from the swing. It's a fairly fast swing, but she doesn't control the follow through perfectly. She does use the opportunity to try to close the distance, before you drive her back with a well-placed jab.

Not that I expect this will be over so quickly, but I do want to talk to Tenshi before they depart.

>"She's just going to keep backing up," says Tenshi. "You gotta do something about that."

>You decide to stop being nice.
>You wait for her to slash at you again, and move your trident to intercept. It hits with a meaty wooden thwack, and immediately try to wrench it downward. It works well, though she manages to catch what you are doing and resist enough to avoid being forced onto her knees and keep the blade from the ground, you do put her into a poor position.
>"What now, Yuli?" says Tenshi.

What's reactionary? o_O I want to do a mental check of what has already happened, which takes zero game time.

In this situation it doesn't really matter how things were, unless there's some cunning master plan behind our prior positioning. Of course, I'm being presumptuous, but that mental check, to me, carried with it the intention to let up on pressure to try something tricky. Indeed, I apologise if I assumed incorrectly.

Eh, don't worry about. It's not like I haven't done a whole bunch of it myself already.

I had asked because my imagination was having a hard time keeping up with precisely what was happening. I have no spatial geometry mind for text adventure fights at all: I expect I will only get involved if people really want me to or if several hours go by with no new inputs and I think I might have an idea.

>She slashed from left to right, by your perspective.
>Clockwise.

>You decide to try to press your advantage, shifting your grip and sweeping at her legs. She sees the attack coming, it's quite hard not to, but she is still off balance enough there isn't much she can do about it. You connect firmly and send her to the ground.

>She is flat on the ground, but recovers with surprising speed. You get the feeling this is something she's had drilled into her. Still, you manage to put the trident at her throat while she is standing. Given the tines are pretty sharp, you opt not to poke her in the throat with it lest she move wrong and impale her trachea.
>"I yield," she says calmly.
>"And I hope you learned something, Yuli," says Tenshi. "Alright, now the rest of you get in there. And if you've not figured it out yet, go around the head!"

>You need a bit of time to study her features and properly memorize them. Then you'd need some time and a mirror to practice getting them just right. Then more time to get her voice right. It'd take a good while, at least. Getting a specific form down tends to take a couple hours.

>Hair is easy, you can almost certainly replicate her hair as it is. A rough approximation of her face should be doable in a few minutes.
