Good point, though I'm halfway wondering if that tip that the oni's giving us is "hey dog, I saw one of your buddies come in with a bunch of gems and walked out with your money, might wanna get on that buddy :V"...

So, how will we pay for the info, then? We did make the deal with her. Also, we are NOT telling her that someone replaced all of our money with gems: we can do without the embarrassment, even if it's juicy enough to qualify as payment.

I really think there's something to the gems so I'd prefer not to part with any of them.  I've got no idea how to approach offering an alternative though so if we let one go it should be one of the cheap ones.

We can offer her a trade of more liquor or food in exchange for payment, or we could offer our services to complete an errand as an alternative to cash/gems.

I don't think there's anything to the gems other than them being gems, and that's why I asked about the rose quartz. Unfortunately, if we pay with gems then we'll probably have to give her more gems than we want. So, let's try giving her booze: food might work, but I don't think she needs us running errands for her, considering her line of work. Not less there's some rats in her basement that need killin'.

> What kind of stock does the pub have besides liquor?  Do we have food and such?

>You do have food, but your serving of such is sporadic. You have considered getting a cook to help out with that and make meals a regular feature.

> How much booze is left in the bottle we served the oni from? About how much would it be worth?

>The bottle is about half full, you'd say it's worth 50☼, but given you're the one who made it, you could probably haggle it up.

I say we try offering the bottle regardless.

Yeah, in retrospect it wasn't very fair to ask that question earlier, especially if Purvis doesn't know the answer. If we don't have many bottles of it, and it's popular, then we should try another bottle.

I suppose I'll put up the obvious question; why are we worried about embarrassment from admitting we were cleaned out again? We live in a city full of people that consider it a nigh unforgivable sin to be deceitful and we've supposedly been paying someone protection money. Getting "robbed" (if we even want to call it that - I get the feeling there's a lot more to it than that) is more a reflection on the thief than us.

It was brought up once, but I didn't really see too much of a reason for it when it was proposed at the time, so I figured I'd ask for it to be repeated. :C
