>You approach the jewelery shop, becoming aware that it's been a long time since you've done this sort of thing. You've not really visited another practitioner of the craft in a long, long time. Up until now, there's been no need. Gensokyo didn't have quite the thriving community that old Heian-Kyo did. But, now you find yourself trying to recall the etiquette. Greet the jeweler, then examine the rings. Compliment the skill of the cut as appropriate, and let him or her do the rest. That's how you know, and you let them know. A greeting as old the cities.
>You enter the shop, and all of that falls away. Sitting there at the counter, frown at a ring setting, is some of your latest work. You'd know that dark hair, those eyes, and that brown skin anywhere. The nose, you think, was especially nice. She sits there in her white blouse; you can see the brocaded blue coat of hers hung on the wall. Iku's little ghost friend. Poor thing, she really has fallen in with a bad crowd.
>Idly, you note the store is small. Tables covered with silk cloths line the walls, from which a number of rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and such are on displace, the light in the gems causing them to wink at you every so often. A wall scroll quickly catches your eye, it bears cartoonish pictures of Reimu and Marisa, and a number of cherry blossoms drawn on it. In large letters, it says, "Attention Would-Be Thieves: The Red White and I agree it would be much better for her to get a couple of my wares in case of theft than for someone else to take more. So does the Black White." You have to hold back a laugh! An unobtrusive doorway on the southern wall leads further into the building. Obvious exits are North and South.
>"Oh, it's you," says the disguised ghost. "I didn't expect to see you come in. Welcome! Um, I'm afraid we're not buying at the moment."
