NEW PET PEEVE Ongoing issue with user, told them I was leaving at 4:30 for the day. Calls at 4:15 going "I know you're about to leave can you get to me yet?" after I told him I'd call him back after I finished another call (just got off), knowing full well call will take at least an hour to complete. |

You know what's horrible? Oh man... Some phone lines in 3rd world countries are in horrible condition. Every time I call my grandmother, there is an incredible amount of static and her speech is almost unintelligible. I thought I understood Spanish told in most dialects, but when you have this kind of condition, it is almost impossible to understand what the person on the other side is saying no matter how trained your hearing is. And guess what? I had to help my grandmother fix a printer. She has no knowledge with computers, and with this condition, I failed immediately. Technical support, like TSO just showed above, is loathsome and a royal pain in the ass. Telling her how to change ink cartridges took almost an hour to explain how to do, and in the end... She was unable to do it... I was only able to witstand 45 minutes until I threw the towel. Incredibly frustrating. Most other things in life do not come close :< |
