I've always loved post-war America. The film noir period, so to speak. Hard-boiled detectives, everyone walking around with a trenchcoat and a tommy gun, the mafia keeping the city going as the prohibition drives people nuts...it's glorious, but in just a twisted enough way that it's a guilty pleasure. It's the age of womanisers, of smart-talking detectives, of car gunfights. There's a reason why L.A. Noire is pretty much the biggest game on my wish list right now.
