I will ask Nitori to come with us, yes, but the signed note is there in case Nitori decides it's not really worth her time to trundle down to some random Bhavagran island to deal with an obnoxious personality with which she doesn't have to deal, even though (or perhaps especially because) the meeting may last all of five seconds.

Just so we're clear, are there any objections to me calling out Remilia's bullshit if, as I expect, she refuses to accept our innocence?

I have to be honest; the way you've been carrying on about that for this long at this point makes me very nervous that it will do nothing but vent out-of-game frustration while making the actual in-game situation much worse. Every time I've wanted/tried to do what you are itching to do it has backfired, most notably with all the verbal blows that got traded in Utsuho Quest.

If you want to enter it as a command, I would recommend putting it up for peer review first. There's more that are following the game than just those that are posting commands.

It's not venting out-of-game frustration, I can garuntee that much. yes, Remilia's pissing me off, but this has been in my head ever since the first time someone assumed Bhava-Agra was attacking. Remilia's just the only one we've seen keep to that belief; all the others we've met more than once seem to at least accept that it's possible the islands falling wasn't part of an attack (although we haven't run into Marisa again, so she's uncertain).

As for what I'm planning to say, you got fairly close to the idea when you accused Remilia of meglomania. What I want to say is basically the next step from that. The idea is to come straight out and tell her she's full of shit. As for it backfiring, well, as I've said, I'm pretty sure there's no avoiding a fight anyways (hell, pissing her off would probably help us; an angry opponent is more likely to make mistakes). It should also be said that what I'm planning to have Iku say is perfectly in-character.

As for how much I've been looking forward to it, well, that's just me; I get that way over all kinds of things.

Kilga has convinced me that he's capable of avoiding a fight with an oncoming train with no brakes.  He will convince the train it actually pedals backwards and the train will leave peacefully. If it comes down to a fight I'd prefer if someone challenges Remillia honorably to a danmaku battle for the islands because this is Touhou and that's how incidents get resolved damnit.

As long as I can call out her bullshit afterwards (it won't be the same, but it'll be good enough), that works for me.

This may sound completely insane, but I've done some thinking on the subject, and I think I may have given Remilia too little credit. I am nervous about what she will ask in return once negotiations begin, but I actually think she'll believe evidence if it's actually presented to her, rather than asking her to go to it.

I will admit that I kinda half-expect her to demand we get Yuugi's signature as well (or worse, demand we drag Yuugi up topside to vouch in person), but we can deal with that when it comes.
